  • MOE tore it up. Blues Traveler did not.

by tboneDenver on 7/7/13Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 2 out of 5

MOE. Played hard start to finish. over an hour and a half of solid jamming and some awesome slap bass. Popper came out a few times and rocked out hard on the harp. Once the opener left stage, everyone was fiending some heavy blues rock. Boy were we ever disappointed. Popper played an entire album of slow ballads that received next to no applause at the end of EVERY song. After a whole album of slow, hard to listen to,"Blues Traveler" John said his time was up and that he had to leave and broke into "hook". It had the least amount of heart/enthusiasm I may have ever seen live. I love Blues Traveler and was raving about how awesome this show was going to be. We left red rocks pretty unimpressed and thankful we got to see Moe for as long as we did. The highlight of the evening, was the La Grange and the ACDC jam that two 13 year olds jammed out with Blues Traveler. I kid you not when I say that the two jams that these kids played on were by far better than any of the jams blues traveler played in their two hours on stage. Hope blues traveler gets their groove back soon. Tom

  • Blue Traveler disappointing

by KBBC on 7/7/13Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 3 out of 5

Great jamming, but after an hour and a half without a recognizable song, we were antsy! Finally left at close to 11:30, maybe they squeezed in some big hits at the very end, but we were bumming and left.

  • We still love you!

by babybuggy on 7/7/13Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 3 out of 5

Blues Traveler.... we do still love you. You guys rock like no other. Now down to brass tacks.... They played an entire album "Save His Soul" from 1993. All the crowd wanted to hear was "Four" and after two and a half hours we finally heard "Hook" - which was AMAZING. The best, BEST part was when two kids played guitar with the band. Not only were those kids incredibly talented, their enthusiasm was contagious, and John's total inclusion of them was the best part of any show I've ever seen. Red Rocks was an amazing venue and I can't imagine there is a better place on the planet to spend July 4th. Incredible views, breathtaking fireworks shows, delicious dinner.... the perfect night.

BEST CONCERT EXPERIENCE EVER! First time at Red Rocks and it was everything I had hoped it would be and more!

  • by COCyclist on 7/7/13Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 1 out of 5

Really slow and too instrumental to keep interest from the crowd. Very disappointing.

Mo was fantastic. John Popper is to vocals what Manny Ramirez is to baseball. Way past his prime.

  • Blues Traveler took me down .......

by Hugger on 7/7/13Red Rocks Amphitheatre - MorrisonRating: 2 out of 5

Hmmm .......... what can I say? I know these guys are awesome, but I will not be returning for the July 4th adventure at Red Rocks. They played their entire new CD straight through with no tunes anyone knew in between. It truly sounded like the same song for almost an hour! People were leaving in droves. Lead singer said, "Hey folks, stick with us ....... we're almost through our new CD!" What? Well, we left. Have very rarely left a concert. Unless you are totally in to their new CD, skip this concert. Sometimes, the oldies but goodies are the best way to please an audience!

  • Fantastic night!

by Gozerhead on 7/5/13Vetter Stone Amphitheater - MankatoRating: 5 out of 5

The band sounded great in a very cool venue. Blues Travler rocked hard and played all of their commercial hits ("Run-Around", "Hook", "Mountains Win Again", and "Carolina Blues"). They also played some fun covers by Sublime and ZZ top. To keep the hardcore fans happy, there were a couple of rarities played like, "Believe Me", and "Recognize My Friend". The mix was excellent, and John's voice was very strong. He had some vocal chord issues the last couple of years.

  • Awesome show

You need to check these guys out! Great entertainment.

  • Unforgettable Event!

Great combination of venue, band, and weather. This was one of those epic shows that other shows are compared to.

  • Awesome show!

by Iball on 6/25/13Sherman Summer Stage - Mt PoconoRating: 5 out of 5

Blues Traveler put on a great show! They sounded really good - they were tight and John's vocals were really on!! They did not disappoint and we were lucky with great weather and a great setting too!

  • Still amazing

Great Show ,in a great location. They did a gret job organizing the event. Great weather

  • Blues Traveler was awesome!!

by Jasminelovesaladin on 6/8/13Riverside Festival Site - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

The music was amazing!! They played a good long set and entertained the audience with humorous stories. I was thrilled we were moved indoors because it was raining, but Feel the concert would have been better outdoors. That is not a complaint or any reflection on the band, but it was crowded on the floor of the arena and many people around us were smoking so after a while it got to be too much. But we were dry, so, it was a fair trade!! So glad they came to play Party in the "Park" here in Rochester NY

  • Blues Traveler at Harrah's

by 92fxlr on 5/27/13Harrah's Resort Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Incredible show by the world's greatest band! Great setting...not too big, not too small. Overpriced beer....what do you expect at a casino. Would see Blues Traveler at every opportunity. They haven't lost a beat in 25 years!

  • Great Show

by BrianWilliams0312 on 5/26/13Harrah's Resort Atlantic City - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

It was a Great Show. Would have gotten 5 star but was only 1 1/2 hour long. Don't know if that was because of Harrah's or the band.

  • Blues Traveler

by JasonRead on 12/1/12Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 5 out of 5

Great atmosphere, almost like a private concert at the Ponte Vedra Music Hall

  • Unfortunately awesome

by cocogorilla on 11/2/12Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 4 out of 5

John's voice was shot... the tour had him searching for the upper register. I mean, what are you going to do about it right? People are showing up, tickets purchased... the show must go on. So that was the unfortunate part, but it just meant more killer harmonica solos. And, unlike so many bands that have been around for a couple of decades, these guys still have talent... truly unbelievable talent. Their confidence onstage seems a product of killed musical passion and expression, which is again refreshing compared to so many others whose confidence is in their own built up name. Those other bands are borrowing from their past... Blues Traveler is still investing in their future.

  • good time

by pcolaMusicFan on 10/30/12Hard Rock Live - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

My wife and I had the best time. Fun band with a great audience.

  • Good show, but not a great show

by nyvols on 10/30/12Ponte Vedra Concert Hall - Ponte Vedra BeachRating: 3 out of 5

The concert was good, but was not the Blues Traveler I was use to. Everyone is due for a bad though. I would go back again.
