  • Don’t waste your $!

I was so excited to see Blues Travler!! It was actually a bucket list of mine. I bought row A thinking I was front row but they added a row AA so I was not. They also didn’t allow anyone up to the front of the stage. John was great on the harmonica but VERY POOR on Vocals. It was a HUGE disappointment. Worst $250 I’ve EVER spent! Save your $. I was super sad and I love live music.

  • Excellent show! Loved it all!

I'm not sure what these other reviews are talking about- I was there and have time stamped photos to show the band went on stage on time and played straight through until curfew, at which point the show ended. John Popper sounded amazing, as always. Big Head Todd came on stage to play with Blues Traveler for one song. It was just a fun night all around, great to hear all of our favorite BT songs from over the years. If you've followed this band for any amount of time, you know how much heart goes into their live performances. They always give 100%.

  • Disappointed show

Was excited to see BT again. Been many years. Had great seats. They performed cover songs before their own. Too many intermissions by band members which led to few songs and less than an hour on stage. Disappointed for sure.

I thought Blues Travelers were very disrespectful to the audience and neighbors. First, by waiting 45 minutes to come out, leaving only 45 minutes for their set. Then playing long, boring riffs while Popper left the stage, so only about six songs were performed. Then they played past the curfew. Big Head Todd was great and should have been the headliner. It would be nice if more non-alcohol drinks were offered for sale besides Pepsi and bottled water. Lemonade with ice would have been awesome during such a hot evening.

Lead singer left the stage every couple of songs leaving band to fill the space with repetitious guitar riffs. It all sounded the same. I think Blues Travelers were living on their laurels.

  • Meh

    by Patty A on 7/18/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Musically talented but they played no songs that were released on the radio. We left disappointed and underwhelmed.

  • Not good

by Ksl on 7/18/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Big head Todd was great! BT felt like an endless, not good, jam session. Hardly any vocals and only 2 of their popular songs. I really felt like they were not playing for the audience at all.

  • Worst concert

by ebeccra on 7/18/23Rating: 1 out of 5

They made us wait an hour, after the opener. They played for less than an hour, and only played 1 of their popular songs. It was a disappointing passionless show. They lacked generosity toward the audience.

I've seen BT several times but I wished I had skipped this one. Big Head Todd was great but BT really phoned it in. They don't need to leave the stage for breaks and if they hadn't done so many "jams"along with their break (after 3 songs) we could have heard several more songs! I find that ridiculous and disappointing and not what I paid to see.

  • Poor time management

by ZL on 7/18/23Rating: 3 out of 5

Opening band played for 90 minutes, 30 min break between sets (20 with no visible activity on stage) and then BT barely plays for an hour before abruptly ending due to a curfew. First world problem for sure but not what I was hoping for.

  • disappointing

The Blue's Travelers main singer was late and they only did about a half a set. Felt like a rip off.

  • Poor performance from Popper

by Harmonica Lover on 7/17/23Rating: 1 out of 5

After making us wait 30 min in the sun they played 30 min before inviting Big Head Todd back out for an encore. No energy half of audience left before it ended.

  • Blue Monsters Tour

by LFM on 7/17/23Rating: 3 out of 5

First, let me say the show was great. Big Head Todd and the Monsters were amazing and Blues Traveler was great (except they didn't play Runaround. 🤷). The issues I have were these: 1. The crew took entirely too long to tear down from BHT&M and set up for BT. I didn't time it, but it had to be over 30 minutes. This caused BT to cut their show short because of noise restrictions at the venue. Not okay. 2. There was only one bar area at this show, instead of the normal two. The lines were outrageous. Why? 3. The bar service itself was disappointing. The choices were all canned and not very good ones at that. At every show we've been to before at Outlaw Field, there were actual cocktails served in addition to canned beers. Very disappointed. In conclusion, we love coming to Outlaw Field for concerts, but the experience at this show didn't meet our expectations.

  • disappointed in Blues Traveler

by Barbara on 7/17/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Was so excited to see Blues Traveler - but was so disappointed. They did lengthy jams and they didn't play key songs that I and my group wanted and expected to hear and enjoy. I won't bother to go see them next time!

  • Disappointed

by Boise concert goer on 7/17/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Big Head Todd and the Monsters put on a great show. Blues Traveler was very disappointing. It felt more like a jam session than a concert. They barely played for an hour and only played 2 of their songs, that I could make out, and two other artist songs. Each soon felt like it was just endless instrumental solos that got really old.

  • Very dissappointing

by LMP on 7/17/23Rating: 1 out of 5

Blues Traveler played for less than an hour & was very acoustic. Was very disappointed. Big head Tod & the monsters were good though

  • Horrible Concert by Blues Traveler

by AKB on 7/17/23Rating: 1 out of 5

They were horrible in Boise. Opening act was great, but things went downhill from there. They maybe played 5 songs, two which were cover songs. They just had long jam sessions which seemed like stalling. Just odd.

  • Blues Traveler

Would like to have seen a little longer set for Blues Traveler. Big Head Todd was an excellent opener. Overall a great experience

  • 1 hour in between shows in 100 degrees

by VSM on 7/17/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Not crazy about venue! Why wait in line to get your 21 wrist band, another line for tokens and another for drinks in 100 degrees is ridiculous, we ended up not buying any beverages! Too long of a wait between shows, an hour wait in 100 degrees is too long! And didn’t even change the set/ equipment!

  • Very short!

by Renee on 7/17/23Rating: 2 out of 5

Although the opener, Big Head Todd was fantastic, Blues Traveler started quite late and only played for forty minutes. To me, that is unacceptable!
