I have seen Billy and Steve at many different venues over the years. I loved getting the stories behind the songs. What a nice surprise to be able to get such a view of their lives. I only wish we got 2 more songs, then it would have been a perfect evening!!!
Great show n settings Billy idol told stories n sounded great
My 4th Billy Idol concert in my life and I guess I should have read more into in that it was about his life, NOT that I wouldn't have gone but, 2 hours and only 7 songs, and I believe 2 weren't his songs.. He was finished talking about his life in his first hour. He sounded good though and Steve Stevens played an excellent guitar, especially during his guitar solo. Audience participation for Rebel Yell and White Wedding was fun, but you saw many audience members wanted more more more
Great show! They sounded great and Billy is a great story teller. The venue was terrific and I can now cross Billy Idol off my bucket list.
Billy and Steven put on a great show! I saw Billy in New York a few years back and had to see him again, This "unplugged" show did not disappoint. I loved hearing Billy and Steve's stories. Billy does not age! Steve can shred a guitar. If you have a chance to see them, it is a must!!
Excellent show !! For those who never read Billy's book (which you should) it gave you the cliff notes in his own voice with the soundtrack to it. Always such a great performer. Always knows and gives the audience what we want. Beautiful voice and beautiful to look at !! So glad to hear from Steve Stevens finally !! Keep touring boys.
I’m a huge concert goer seeing over 20 a year and this was the first ever show in which the fans stood from bringing to end. As a matter of fact, I didn’t want it to end. He is a GREAT story teller about his life, career and musical inspirations. WOW simply, WOW!
Billy and Steve put on a fantastic show. Very intimate, like a storytellers type of evening. BiIly's story about his dad was sweet and sad. His voice is so good, as strong as ever. Steve's guitar was exceptional. I would go see this show again and again!
Nothing I didn't love about the show!!! Can't wait to see them with the whole band!!!
I’ve seen Billy a bunch of times over the years. He has a great personality & he is a great performer. I liked this acoustic show & I enjoyed the stories about the song. It’s not something you generally get to see from & punk rocker. I look forward to the next time he comes around.
He only did maybe 8 songs, between songs he rambled for ten minutes about god knows what.
As always, Billy and Steve were amazing!...Most of the staff at the venue were very friendly. However, after just a few songs a member of the staff walked around telling the audience to sit down. (I chose to continue to stand.)I have NEVER been to a venue that made you sit down during a rock concert. It was ridiculous! Anyone who has seen live music knows that the musicians feed off of the energy of the audience. Seeing the audience sitting down must have been a bummer to the band as well! I don’t know the reason behind their decision but I know that the crowd was not happy. We paid a lot of money to see the show and that includes being able to stand and dance if we chose to. At the very end of the show a small group of people were allowed to approach the stage. Better late then never...I’m going to give the show a rating of a three because of the whole ‘sitting down’ episode but Billy and Steve get ten stars!!!!
Only 6 songs sung! 4 in last half hour! Stop the talk, I was there to hear Billy sing! I don’t mine knowing your history but, it wasn’t a conversation between 2 parties. It was suppose to be a CONCERT! Less detail and more singing!! Unless you plan on going on 4 hours with some SONGS!
Billy and Steve were awesome as always. His voice is as strong as ever and I enjoyed the background on how he came up with the songs. The crowd on the other hand would not shut up. I understand they are the most important person in their world. But there are others who paid good money and wanted to hear what he had to say. Great Show!
Billy Idol and Steve Stevens gave an intimate acoustic performance at Count Basie. Billy set up each song with a glimpse into his life and the songwriting process. Many in the Basie crowd were not very receptive. I was fascinated by the tales. Quite a few Idle Idol fans stared and swiped at their phones. The hardcore fans loved his interactions.
I have been a fan of Billy Idol since the 80s and I was really looking forward to this show. When he sang, it was good. While hearing stories about things throughout his career and about his family was nice, there was too much rambling on and on - just not enough music when you are expecting music.

Had 2nd row center seats & this was my 15th time seeing BFI....!!!..and as ALWAYS He NEVER DISAPPOINTS...!!!...Gr8 show...!!!
