  • Big Texas Comicon!

by Dude on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

It was an overall amazing experience, and one I’m definitely looking forward to next year again! I was fortunate enough to meet Matthew Lillard, Glenn Jacobs(Kane), Nolan North, and Dante Basco and Jamie Kennedy and they were wonderful! Recommended for anyone who’s a of fan meeting celebrities and buying cool merchandise from vendors. One thing I’d recommend is to try(if possible) to go more than one day, especially if you plan on meeting multiple people because time windows can get very tight, which I learned the hard way.

  • Comicon Revie

by Oscar Ro on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 2 out of 5

I attended the big Texas Comicon. Got tickets for Saturday. Our celebrity canceled for Saturday. I sent multiple emails since I couldn't call. Asking to switch Saturday with Sunday. Tried for over 2 weeks. One week prior was enailed they would let me know. Never heard anything back. Very disappointing.

  • A Fun Experience

by Ames on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 4 out of 5

This was my first time at Big Texas Comic Con and I have to say… it won me over. I surprised to learn of how young it is given that they started doing cons in 2019. Yet, they had a great line up of guests and vendors. I will definitely be back next year!

  • It was a great experience, definitely going again next time.

I got the 3day vip passes, all the staff, venders and guests were very nice. The vibe was amazing.

  • Fun! But…

by Gto on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 3 out of 5

Not as big as I thought it would have been. A good amount of stuff to look at and buy. Was hoping it would have been as big as when alamo city comic con took over the Alamodome. San Japan does a better utilization of the building to make it feel bigger with a lot more going on. But this wasn’t terrible. Still fun to be had if this is your first con. Maybe next year?

  • 1st Time… amazing!

by Mom Becky on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

My daughter got to meet one of her favorite celebrities Matt Ryan… Who played John Constantine! Boy was he amazing! He gave her his full attention, he spent time with her, gave her autographs, pictures and hugs! He made our first trip to comicon the best ever! Thank you for hosting these events!

  • It was ok but lacking this year

by Tabby on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 3 out of 5

There wasnt a whole lot to do this year. Also there werent any signs on where to go when you came to the building. It would have been nice to know where the entrance was. It felt small over all. The last year I went there were more vendors and it took all 3 days to get through them. This one took us a few hrs and they all seemed to be selling the same stuff at different prices. I didnt like the line up of guests this year. I really only went for one of the artist Trina Robbins who should have honestly been a bigger deal to them considering its a COMIC con. It was just ok. Not really worth the money this year

  • Amazing

by Nightfairy27 on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

Went with my husband on our 3rd anniversary and met Billy West who is super sweet and very nice to meet. My only regret was not having anything with us for him to sign because finding something futurama-themed was harder then you would think. Also loved the Standing in the spotlight booth they had lots of amazing products. All together made for a great first comicon for me.

  • Really horrible experience

by Lazylids on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 1 out of 5

The whole comicon was located in an extremely small space, divided by thin poorly spaced curtains. Even the guest speakers and celebrities were seated in these desolate locations in the corner of the room surrounded by cheap fold out chairs. There was hardly a turn out of people but everything was full priced. It all just kind of resembled a trunk or treat activity more then a comic convention.

  • Big city comicon wasnt as big as the name suggest

by Xxx on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 2 out of 5

This year the comic con just rented the main hall. Fitting in all vendors and celebs. Usually the other cons provide these and shows , more panels, events and more than just one area to do business. The food quality has dipped providing stale/old pizza. And over priced drinks and snacks. I get you wanna make a buck but this year the name failed the con

  • Horrible

by Mike on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 1 out of 5

There was no parking and by the time I could get an Uber and get there my photo op and signing for the Erwin I wanted to meet would be over. The tickets online weren’t refundable and I was told that I couldn’t exchange them for the following day. I payed for 3 tickets and a photo op. That’s $200 down the drain that. No compensation what’s so ever. No going to San cons again.

  • Too expensive

by Diana on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 1 out of 5

Its too expensive of an experience, parking was pricey and so hard to find. Then the mile and a half walk to a door that was unacessable. So another 1/2 mile to front entrance. The people were lots of fun. My daughter who has special needs was tired of all the walking before we got there.

  • Need more celebrities

by Just a fan. on 11/1/22Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 3 out of 5

Overall was great time, however need to sell timed tickets for autographes.. People in line for over 3 hours for Kane and people kept skipping ahead as the line got longer. should be 5 minute timed tickets. Example. Kane Meet and greet @ 8am So if you are not there by 8 and 805 comes you go back of line. or something.

One of the best fan conventions in San Antonio, Texas! Great fun very well organized and very enjoyable. :-)

  • Would I do it again? Maybe.

by PriddyMom on 10/12/21Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center - San AntonioRating: 3 out of 5

The show had a nice variety of vendors and special attractions. There was plenty of cosplay so the people watching was fun. The volunteers were lovely and did a great job of herding the crowds. The exit not being at the entrance and not clearly marked did post for a great deal of confusion for the guests. I was able to find some fun things and had a nice pleasant day with the family.
