  • Not what it used to be

by lindag on 4/19/23Deadwood Mountain Grand - DeadwoodRating: 3 out of 5

I have always enjoyed this event, and did again this year. It is definitely not what it used to be. I feel the participating vendors are less for the food tastings. There used to be live music and games at the grand tasting which is also no longer done. The price sure has gone up though. Although the wine glasses are nice, it would be better if they were a little more sturdy. If you look at these wrong, they will shatter.

The price has been going up and yet the businesses participating is going down. The appetizers were above average but Saturday was below.

  • F, C & K 2023 review

First time back in (3) years. Overall a great experience outside DMG downtown, exactly what I've come to expect. The Grand Tasting had WAY TOO MANY PEOPLE upstairs. The vendors were gracious as always & the charcuterie tables were also what we've come to expect. Rumor has it that the total amount of tickets has gone from (500) to (1000). If that's going to be the case moving forward we're not going again. TOO MANY PEOPLE in the ballroom.

  • Amazing

by Matt on 4/18/23Deadwood Mountain Grand - DeadwoodRating: 5 out of 5

What a great event. The food and beverage offerings were top notch. Would definitely recommend the his event to those that enjoy a relaxed tasting event that you can do at your own pace.

  • Fun time

by Wino on 4/18/23Deadwood Mountain Grand - DeadwoodRating: 3 out of 5

This is always a fun event. Food was some better than last year. Doing pasta as a wine tasting does not make any sense. After few hours it is not the best. Wine poor was ridiculous some hardly a spoon full! I go to these types of events in Colorado pay less and get more!

  • Disappointing at best

    by mtnbiker79 on 4/18/23Deadwood Mountain Grand - DeadwoodRating: 2 out of 5

The food samples were too small, the wine was barely enough to get a taste (1/2 ounce probably). The main event didn’t have any warm food at all. Just meat and cheese trays. There wasn’t any possibility to buy wine or beer from any of the vendors. What’s the point of going to a tasting event if you can’t buy any of the beverages you sample? The food was delicious but it wasn’t available from the menu in most places. Once again what’s the point of sampling food if I can’t buy a full meal of it?

Great Job, Deadwood, on putting on s fun event! Friday and Saturday were terrific, Friday walking the street and tasting everyone's food was delightful. Saturday at the Grand Mountain was the best! You all did a wowonderful job hosting everyone and having things run smoothly. Looking forward to next year!!

  • Higher expectations

by Ape on 4/18/23Deadwood Mountain Grand - DeadwoodRating: 3 out of 5

It was a fun time but not worth the money. Dont get me wrong the food was amazing and so were some wines. The keg part of it was basic beer and most wines were cheaper wines. Not one single person sampling could tell you anything about the wines except that it was red or white or sweet or dry. I guess my expectations were higher for the event.

  • Vip tickets

by Mom on 4/24/22Deadwood Mountain Grand - DeadwoodRating: 3 out of 5

Love doing VIP. Event at Social Club had great wines. Appetizers where lam. Not up to par with previous years. Again this year Lyft was great food. Ending events disappointing. Hardly any tables and chairs in VIP reserves area. Buffet only cheese and bread. Very boring and untasty. The extra fifty bucks for VIP ticket would have bought a great meal. Venders at locations and main event seemed less in amounts and creativity this year. Would give overall 3.5 rating.
