About

BK is back and he's not the same. Who could be after the heartbreak he's endured since the sudden passing of his 16-year old son. Instead of hiding away, the beloved indie-rocker is walking through the fire of grief with intention and purpose. This unimaginable journey has led him to his seventh album, Cover The Mirrors, and the accompanying tour which begins on April 15th.

"Music has been my savior throughout my life but never before has it saved me as much as it has this past year. My upcoming album, Cover The Mirrors, is a deep dive into my new reality. It's a collage of my good days and my bad days, my highest highs and my lowest of lows. It's the most personal, emotionally raw project I've ever worked on."

Kweller has been an open book throughout his illustrious career. His songs hold a nostalgic quality that takes you to a time and a place, happy or sad. He's also one of the rare few who can translate his recordings into captivating concerts that keep his fans coming back again and again. If you've never seen BK live before, the Cover The Mirrors Tour is sure to be his most heartfelt and joyous live show yet. This is a chance for old and new fans to come together and witness one of the great songwriters at his creative peak.

  • Awesome show

by Doc on 5/6/25Scoot Inn - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Ben Kweller and his band put on a great live show. You could tell they were really engaged with the crowd and the crowd responded. There were some emotional moments, especially during his acoustic versions of “Make it Up” and “Lizzy” and also some flat out rock and role. The new stuff like “Optimystic” and “Dollar Store” were highlights. If you haven’t seen them live before, you should make it a point to check them out…you won’t be disappointed..

  • Ben Kweller is a MUST see

by Kat on 5/6/25Scoot Inn - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Ben Kweller NEVER disappoints! He's such a great vibe even when he's personally going through so much, his stongs still lift you up and bring me back to my youth. This is was 4th time seeing Ben and but my first time over at the Scoot inn. This was his best performance I've seen so far and the venue was perfect! The opening band was just the right about of silly to set the tone for the night before Ben rocked our socks off!

  • Amazing

by Nate on 5/2/25High Noon Saloon - MadisonRating: 5 out of 5

Even better than expected. I know it’s been over 10 years since he’s toured so I thought he might sound a little green. Boy was I wrong! Sounded spectacular, highly recommend!

This guy is just a joy to see in person. He brings the house down every time he performs. Very talented, check him out!

  • Bros Fresh, Kalu, and Ben Throw Down

    by J_ on 4/21/24Scoot Inn - AustinRating: 3 out of 5

Bands were FANTASTIC. I would criticize the venue for poor engineering on the opening acts. Bros Fresh were especially too quiet, all stage volume. I could barely hear their vocals above the drums. Kalu had similar problems, his female guitarist (stage left) did not appear to be in the mix for several songs. Ben got the all star treatment, sounded great, but I found it disrespectful to the supporting acts that their overall volume was so limited. Thumbs down to Scoot Inn for this oversight.

  • Awesome show

This was our third time to see Ben Kweller and was absolutely the best. Saw him in 2009 where he did an acoustic set, then more recently at a festival (ACL). This show was at a small venue, outdoors and we were on the front rail. His set was high energy and the band very tight. He played songs throughout his catalog and the band seemed to have as much fun as we did. We were close enough to shake hands…which is exactly what we got to do since he came to the merch booth after the show. He was super nice, signed my son’s copy of Sha Sha and let us get a picture. He even said he had seen us on the front row. Can’t wait to see him again!

  • He’s the best!

A wonderful concert full of nostalgia, special guests, a touching tribute to his late son, and an incredible set!

  • Rilliant and moving show!

by Reid on 7/30/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I don’t know how a father can pull himself together and deliver a fantastic show after a terrible family tragedy. Just amazing! I would highly recommend the Scoot Inn and Ben Kweller. Keep Dorian’s music alive!!
