Really enjoyed the production of “Beautiful” at Count Basie recently. This celebration of the wonderful musical contributions of Carol King, Gerry Goffin, and others of that time was masterfully presented nd performed by some wonderfully talented people. My wife and I thoroughly loved it. Been singing her tunes every day, ever since. Bravo!!!!
Have not been to Count Basie for some time, my experience could not have been any better, and on top of that the show "Beautiful" was just wonderful. It was better than going to an oldies concert. Thank you

I took my daughter and her friend to see Beautiful not knowing what to expect. It was fantastic! We loved every minute of the show. The cast was amazing and we are still talking about it.

Easy to get to, easy to park, isnt a bad seat in the house.

I saw Beautiful on Broadway a few years back on a whim and was surprised at how much I liked it. When I saw it was playing locally I got tickets to share the experience with my husband and it did not disappoint! Just as good as the first time and a lot closer to home.

We were given tickets when a friend realized she would not be able to use the tickets herself that she had bought...talk about a case of her loss...we hadca fantastic time and thankef her repeatedly.
The show was great, but the sound was too low. The majority of the audience was in there 60's and older and a lot of us have hearing problems. It was difficult to hear the dialogue of the show, but the music was wonderful!
The show is funny and touching the songs are great. The cast is fantastic.
Always loved Carole but, never knew about her very early success as a songwriter at only 16 years old. We loved this play, great actors and obviously, great music!
The show was FABULOUS and the cast OUTSTANDING!!!!! My only issue was the dialogue was not as clear as I would have liked in the balcony. We missed many lines as was apparent by the laughter in the audience. The music however was very auditable! LOVED the show regardless. Will be sure to chose seats on the floor next time.
In addition to covering Gerry Goffin and Carole King as a songwriting couple the musical play also paid tribute to a lot of the work of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. After songwriting sessions the songs were performed in a concert setting by acts portraying The Drifters, Little Eva and others. The second act focused on Carole King's highly successful Tapestry album and several of its songs. The play shows the transition of Carole King from being a songwriter to becoming a performer in addition to being the mother of two daughters, Louise and Sherry, and the role of Carole's mother as their grandmother.
We thoroughly enjoyed the show "Beautiful". Because of the great caliber of the shows we have booked two more in the coming months.
Excellent performances by the entire cast. The music and choreography were superb. The audience responded with a lengthy standing ovation.
The play was wonderful. The valet service needs organization!
Saw this show in New York in May. Didn’t know how this show would stack against very high expectations? It was stunningly exceptional. This time, seats were front row. Strongly considering joining the season seats program for the future.
I loved this show because I love Carole King’s music. This does focus more on her early song writing years rather than on all her later hits, but I found the story both interesting and entertaining. I gave it four stars rather than five because some of the cast were a little weak. However, for a tour group doing a moderate sized venue, they were very good. I would highly recommend this show to anyone who enjoys Carole King’s music.
