I can not begin to explain how hot it was at the theatre. I wore a T-shirt and jeans and it was still so uncomfortably hot. I wore my mask most of the show since there was no circulation, adding to the uncomfortable environment. So disappointed in the venue!
The lead was outstanding - voice and enthusiasm and energy. Show was very organized and constantly moving. Ensemble was great and worked well together. A great evening!!
First time doing Broadway in NJ and glad I did. Cast was excellent and really enjoyed the show.
Well, the show was just Beautiful. If given the opportunity, I would go see it ten more times.
I took my 84 year old mother last minute to see Beautiful! What a spectacular performance! I saw the original on Broadway…..I enjoyed this more than the Broadway version. The cast was amazing, music….wonderful to see the show close to home.
It was my first time at the Count Basie Theater and I was very impressed. I had seen Beautiful on Broadway and this performance was every bit as good as that one! Bravo I’ll be back!!

Such a great show. The music and story really keep your interest. The performers were great. I loved it on Broadway and I love it at Count Basie Theater. One of those shows I could see again and again.
I’ve always been a fan of Carol King but never really knew her life story. The play was great as was the music. I felt like a kid again and everyone was dancing and singing in their seats.
So wonderful to go to a local show that was so well done!

We had seen Beautiful on Broadway and were thrilled to learn it was coming to a local theater. The production did not disappoint in any way. Loved it.
This was done quite well, and captured my attention until the end. Anyone who liked the 60's and 70's music should see this.
The cast and crew did an excellent job! It’s a great story that has a happy ending. One of the best plays I have ever seen.
Outstanding show!! So glad we decided to go. Highly recommended to everyone especially to fans of Carole King's music performed by herself and of her songs cowritten for other artists.

The show Beautiful at the Count Basie Theatre was Amazing….can’t say enough good things!
Seamless entry to the theater especially given Covid Vaccination check and metal detectors. Broadway quality performances and script which provided great insight into the song writing business and Ms. King's family struggles. Prior to seeing this show, I had no idea how many hit tunes she had created for other artists before transitioning to a performance dominant career path.
Best showni have seen in 10 years. Breathtaking. Carole King would be proud.
