We loved this musical. The lead singer was fabulous and so were the gentlemen that played the Drifters. It was such an enjoyable evening that everyone growing up in the sixties should see.
I have always been a fan of Carole King's music so this was a no brainer. However, it was better than I imagined I did no research prior to seeing the show so it was all a nice surprise. From the music to the story it was perfect. I learned so many things about her life before she started singing her own songs that I did not know. The music was used perfectly to help tell the story. I could watch this again!
Beautiful was a fun journey into the musical past, revealing the surprising impact of Carol’s songwriting on the music of her time. This was a perfect evening.
Event was Excellent. Tickmaster totally failed to make our etickets available.. Spent 5 hours trying to get our etickets. Arrived at theater without any means of admission. Only through the great folks at Tennessee theater were we able to gain admission. Purchase etickets through TIcketmaster at your own risk!!!

What an amazing and magical life Carol King has had. And it is all brought to you on stage. Her genius in writing music and how that played out in her real life is portrayed in a way that keeps your attention. We get to see the tribulations with her husband who she later divorces. That incident led to her writing the song "It's Too Late". Did you know she wrote the song Pleasant Valley Sunday for the Monkees? The musical also shows how her life was intertwined with fellow song writers Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. Their relationships added a richness to the story. Don't miss this. It is fabulous.

The musical was funny, touching, heartwarming and entertaining. The music is really good and I would see it again if given the opportunity. We had a great time.

The show was very enjoyable. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. As always the Broadway at the Tennessee installment didn't disappoint. Every show from this series that we have attended has been very well done. The casts are always the best of the best. We have been fortunate enough to see some of these plays on Broadway and then attended the touring version at the Tennessee and there has never been a perceptible difference in the talent level. Can't wait until the next one!

We loved it. The music was wonderful, the story was interesting, and the acting was very good. We also learned that Carol King wrote far more songs for others than we knew. If you get a chance, GO SEE IT!
Tennessee Theatre is an amazing venue and "Beautiful, the Carole King Story" was simply fantastic. I wish I had gone on Friday so I could have returned to see it again on Saturday and Sunday. Highly recommend.
I loved the entire show. I have been a Carole King fan since I bought the Tapestry album (vinyl) in 1970's. It was our favorite go to recording. The entire show was well done, well choreographed, and the girl who played Carole King sounded amazingly like her. I would recommend this show to anyone who loves music.
The music was great. I knew all the songs. All the performers were excellent. I thought I was watching the real Carole King.
The musical was absolutely wonderful. Every character in the play was good and of course the leading lady was excellent. The Tennessee theater is not very user-friendly for the handicapped. That is a shame.
The Carol King Beautiful show was awesome in telling her life story in her music- which proves to be timeless

Beautiful, the Carole King musical, was...well...BEAUTIFUL! It was so good I felt like I grew up with Carole and then saw her in concert! Everyone in the theater was mesmerized throughout the whole performance. I would see this show again and again! If you are a fan of Carole King's music, and especially if you have read her autobiography, do yourself a favor and see this show at least once. The Tennessee Theatre was the perfect venue for this work of pure art, too. The lighting, acoustics, and intimate feel made for an all-around fantastic experience.
Saw this musical on Broadway in NYC and the one at the Tennessee Theatre was just as good!
