BASTILLE IN CONCERT:
Fans lucky enough to catch Bastille on their 2013/14 world tour can count their lucky stars —as one of the fastest rising groups in British music, the band's days of performing in smaller venues are certainly numbered. Boasting good looks and a winning blend of indie rock, hip hop, and synthpop, the four chaps from London have a knack for connecting with audiences at their carousing live concerts, entering the crowd to mingle with adoring fans and pose for the occasional mid-set photo op. With a string of highly anticipated US tour dates and a Coachella appearance in 2014, Bastille are well on their way to storming the American mainstream.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Bastille formed around the solo project of singer-songwriter Dan Smith, who shares his birthday with France's historic Bastille Day. The band's 2010 debut single "Flaws" was an underground hit, leading to a 2012 deal with Virgin records that resulted in the band's 2013 debut LP Bad Blood. The album peaked at No. 1 on the UK Albums Chart and spawned six singles, including the international No. 1 "Pompeii." A reissue and remix version of the album in late 2013 drummed up anticipation for the band's 2014 world tour.

I still can't get over how amazing this concert was. Wolf Gang and Bastille have an unbelievable amount of talent and put on one of the most unforgettable, breathtaking shows I have ever seen. I am in awe!
The concert itself was amazing. They were s much better live than they are on their album. They also were super cute and seemed really happy to be up there performing, and this may be really cheesy but it made me really happy to be there too.Their opening act was also surprisingly good. I had never heard of Wolfgang before, but I'm now in love with them. The only complaint I have is that they were late. My ticket said that their opener, Wolfgang, would start at 7 but they didn't end up going on until after 8. Such a good concert, definitely going to see them again in the future.
I bought my tickets for this event the first day they went on sale and anxiously awaited the day with sky high expectations; these expectations were fulfilled tenfold. Bastille was amazing live, they are true musicians and you can tell how much they love performing and how much they appreciate their fans. I was blown away by how great they sounded live and by the fact that most songs were even better than their recording. I can't wait to see them again!
Dan, the lead singer, was so amazing! The entire show was good, but Bastille stole the show!
Dan really payed attention to the crowd and you could tell how grateful he was. They are wonderful live really put on a great show!
The opening band, Wolfgang, was great. The venue was great too and Bastille put on an awesome show.
Great concert. Bastille was awesome live and very interactive with the crowd. Very impressed with facility. They had mobile bathrooms everywhere so I didn't have to wait in line too long
Stage AE is a great little venue in the heart of the city. Pair that with an amazing band like Bastille and the day was amazing. Took my teen daughter and niece and had a blast.
I've seen many different artists live in concert and NONE of them have compared to Bastille. Everything thing about their show was perfection. They connected with the audience, high energy from start to finish... It was worth so much more than the ticket price. Dan's voice quite possibly sounded even better than the album version. Even more impressive, he sounded flawless all while dancing, jumping, and even taking a tour through the audience. Impressed is an understatement.
Bastille really put on a great show and sounded really good live. The audience had a lot of fun dancing and singing and it was great when Dan came through the crowd during Flaws.
I was hesitant to go see Bastille live; I loved their album but worried that they wouldn't meet expectations in person. I was wrong. They were amazing, the voices were perfect, the lights and stage effects were great, and the opening band was impressive as well. Very impressed.

The show was amazing! The crowd was so pumped and Bastille did a great job. Best outdoor concert I've ever been too.
1st off, props to Wolf Gang. I had only heard a few of their songs beforehand (which I liked), but they are truly a fantastic band. I wish them much success. They had a good stage presence and put on a great show. Bastille was incredible! The set flowed very nicely, and even threw some new songs in the mix. I loved the energy Dan (as well as the rest of the guys) brought with each song, really playing to the crowd and getting them involved. I can't wait to see them again.
This show was very good. The sound was great, the light show was awesome. My only issue was that as a short person, it was hard to see. If the hill had been a little steeper, that might have helped, but obviously that's my problem. I really enjoyed the opening act (Wolf Gang), the main act, and the venue. I would recommend all of them to others.
This band is great to begin with and they sounded even better live. If you have the chance to go to their concert, take it. You will not regret it.
This concert was so so so good!! Definitely one of the best ones I've been to. They hoisted Dan Smith up to the balcony where we were standing and it was such a pleasant surprise. They sound great live and went through all the hits. It was nice that they even did some songs from the deluxe/second album. Loved the venue and artist and would go back in a heartbeat!

An absolute amazing performance! A lot of energy in the room, sounded great, had so much fun! Can't wait to see Bastille again!
The sound m engineers might want to check and see how things sound beyond their soundboard!! The band itself sounded good - but you couldn't understand a thing anyone said all night! Everything was terribly muddled and for the ticket price paid - I deserved a lot better. I love concerts, and go to a LOT, but I'm very doubtful that I'll ever see another show at the Masonic Auditorium. Figure your stuff out, people!!
