Great stories, photography, scenery. Worth every bit of our time and $$. We will be back next year.

I have been going to the festival for 10 years. Amazing films and stories. Incredibly inspiring. I always take someone new each year so the can experience it. They put together a great program and the Road Warriors bring heart and warmth. Everyone should go at least once.

  • Banff Film Festival is fizzling

by Ranch Granny on 2/17/25Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 2 out of 5

Been going to BFF in Grand Junction since the first year. Last few years I’ve not wanted to go, but then someone will buy me a ticket and I go and it’s the sane dirge: event is MUCH too long. Too much TALKING before the event and at intermission. (The films are too long too and could use editing of bike riding and skiing which add NOTHING to the story.) I’m sorry to say but I’m ceasing attending as the event is TOO LONG.

  • More skiing

by Moore on 2/16/25Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 3 out of 5

We go to banff to see the skiing, it has become less and less of skiing, and more rock climbing and bike riding...To much talking by the narrators on Thursday night. Left after two hours due to the low energy of the crowd and some of the films...sorry!..

  • Disappointed!

    by Louise1 on 2/16/25Avalon Theatre - Grand JunctionRating: 3 out of 5

I was rather disappointed in this year’s Banff Film Festival. I attended one night where in the past I attended both nights. I have attended Banff since its inception. I was glad I didn’t pay for both nights as I would not have attended the 2nd night. The film festival, in my opinion, has lost its way. Rather than focusing on sports as they have done in the past, most of the themes were political. Rather than focusing in the athlete’s abilities and accomplishments, we were lectured to about various subjects which I won’t go into here. Very disappointing! I probably won’t be attending again.
