Bad Company on Tour
The band that helped define hard rock in the 1970s, Bad Company remains one of the most exciting purveyors of the heaviest of sounds. The incomparable voice of Paul Rodgers may be the biggest reason for the enduring power of Bad Company classics like "Feel Like Makin' Love" and "Rock ‘n' Roll Fantasy."
The latest chapter in the history of this British rock institution began when the surviving original members reconvened in 2008. Revitalizing a repertoire drawn from such hit albums as 1974's Bad Company and 1976's Run With the Pack, Rodgers earned Bad Company a new generation of fans with the help of co-founder and drummer Simon Kirke — who'd originally joined the frontman in the British rock band Free — and two more recent recruits in longtime Heart guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Todd Ronning.
Bad Company's summer 2019 tour includes two concerts with Lynyrd Skynyrd, who were their tourmates for a joint 40th Anniversary Tour in 2013 and The Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour in 2018.
Bad Company Background
Of all the rock supergroups of the ‘70s, Bad Company had the most unbeatable pedigree. Formed in 1973, the band combined the powerhouse team of vocalist Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke — both of Free, the rockers behind "All Right Now" — with Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell. Under the guidance of legendary Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant, the new band quickly became one of the biggest acts in rock.
Released in 1973, Bad Company's multiplatinum self-titled debut boasted a blues-based sound that was undeniably heavy yet just as remarkable for the players' agility and the songs' R&B swagger. It inaugurated an incredible run that continued with four more hit albums and such hit singles as "Bad Company," "Feel Like Makin' Love," and "Rock ‘n' Roll Fantasy."
After the original lineup splintered in 1982, Rodgers would find success as the leader of The Paul Rodgers Band and as a creative partner for his friend Jimmy Page in The Firm. The reunion of all four members at Peter Grant's funeral led to new recordings and new tours between 1999 and 2002. In the wake of the singer's hugely successful collaboration with Brian May and Roger Taylor in Queen + Paul Rodgers, Bad Company was relaunched in 2008 and continues to make good on its heavy-duty reputation.
FogHat was mostly just loud guitars and drums, couldn't understand most of the words. However, Bad Co put on a fantastic and nostalgic show :-) Bad Co was everything you would expect ... with a crisp and fun show. Their hit songs were a hit again. If you get a chance to see them, it's well worth it!!
We took my daughter who is 16. She knew every song. Awesome job. Loved the rendition of All along the Watchtower.
Both bands put on a very good show. Diffently worth your time and money. Reminds you of when music was good.
Fab show. Love Paul Rogers. First time seeing Bad Company. So glad Paul is still touring and sounds Ab Fab!

Bad Company & Foghat both had great sets. The sound was great. It was a fun night.
We finally got perfect seats for Bad Company; they are my wife's favorite and they did a great show! Foghat are not very good. Their material/songs were crap when they came out in the early 1970's and they have not weathered the test of time! Paul Rodgers showed them how it is done that night. Next year at the Ohio State Fair, please consider signing HEART, John Sebastian, Jefferson Starship or Styx ?
Bad company was excellent. Foghat was great but I will never buy floor tickets again I'm needing hip surgery so walking and standing can be a problem during the concert I couldn't see due to the fact that everyone was standing the music was spectacular though
Another fantastic rock and roll show at the Ohio State Fair this time with Bad Company and Foghat! Both bands were rocking, wish Foghat could have played a little longer, they have so much good music! Bad Company excellent! like how they mixed it up, loved when they did songs from FREE days! man these guys can jam!! again wish Bad Company could have played longer, maybe at least had 2 encores! but still so glad I went would love to see them come back again!
FOGHAT was good , but Paul Rodgers & Bad Company was beyond awesome !!!!!!!!!!

So, this was my first time seeing Bad Company or Paul Rodgers live. He'll be 70 in December but you'd never know it. Very, very strong voice, tons of stage presence and great interaction with the fans. The band was 100% awesome, too. I missed hearing Burnin' Sky which I believe to be one of their bery best songs. As for Foghat, Bryan Bassett is about the best slide guitar player I have ever seen. Roger Earl, at 73, continues to kick the crap outta the drums and their set list as a warm-up is quite strong
The band was great. Seating great. Great ticket price! Comfy seats. Like the smaller venues for the concerts.

The show was great. Bad Company with Paul Rogers was amazing. They put on a show well worth the money. The venue wasnt huge which made wherever you sat a good seat
Very exciting night from two of the best rock bands from the 1970s. Neither band was better than the other, and they weren't trying to. Paul Rodgers was in great voice. Foghats guitar riffs were amazing. Rocking night, for any age.
The venue is okay. But the band was top notch! Bad Company is amazing!
