Bad Company on Tour
The band that helped define hard rock in the 1970s, Bad Company remains one of the most exciting purveyors of the heaviest of sounds. The incomparable voice of Paul Rodgers may be the biggest reason for the enduring power of Bad Company classics like "Feel Like Makin' Love" and "Rock ‘n' Roll Fantasy."
The latest chapter in the history of this British rock institution began when the surviving original members reconvened in 2008. Revitalizing a repertoire drawn from such hit albums as 1974's Bad Company and 1976's Run With the Pack, Rodgers earned Bad Company a new generation of fans with the help of co-founder and drummer Simon Kirke — who'd originally joined the frontman in the British rock band Free — and two more recent recruits in longtime Heart guitarist Howard Leese and bassist Todd Ronning.
Bad Company's summer 2019 tour includes two concerts with Lynyrd Skynyrd, who were their tourmates for a joint 40th Anniversary Tour in 2013 and The Last of the Street Survivors Farewell Tour in 2018.
Bad Company Background
Of all the rock supergroups of the ‘70s, Bad Company had the most unbeatable pedigree. Formed in 1973, the band combined the powerhouse team of vocalist Paul Rodgers and drummer Simon Kirke — both of Free, the rockers behind "All Right Now" — with Mott the Hoople guitarist Mick Ralphs and King Crimson bassist Boz Burrell. Under the guidance of legendary Led Zeppelin manager Peter Grant, the new band quickly became one of the biggest acts in rock.
Released in 1973, Bad Company's multiplatinum self-titled debut boasted a blues-based sound that was undeniably heavy yet just as remarkable for the players' agility and the songs' R&B swagger. It inaugurated an incredible run that continued with four more hit albums and such hit singles as "Bad Company," "Feel Like Makin' Love," and "Rock ‘n' Roll Fantasy."
After the original lineup splintered in 1982, Rodgers would find success as the leader of The Paul Rodgers Band and as a creative partner for his friend Jimmy Page in The Firm. The reunion of all four members at Peter Grant's funeral led to new recordings and new tours between 1999 and 2002. In the wake of the singer's hugely successful collaboration with Brian May and Roger Taylor in Queen + Paul Rodgers, Bad Company was relaunched in 2008 and continues to make good on its heavy-duty reputation.

Both Foghat and Bad Company were awesome, had an easy time getting in and out, and would see them again for sure.
The concert was awesome! Bad Company did not disappoint, sounded great and had the audience involved, over all was a fantastic night.
Perfection in every way! I only wish they played longer❤️
Celesta center was a great venue , and Bad Company put on a better show than the last time i saw them 25 or more years ago. Great time!!
The crowd was singing most of the songs for the band didn’t play half the good ones —- very short performance
Enjoyed seeing Bad Company again after so many years. They’re still great. Foghat for the first time was good also.
Great show the Celeste center was easy to get into and out of crowd was fine . Everyone was having a great time I love to go to the fair for the shows.its always great to hear the band's that you grew up with
Had a great time at the Celeste Center at the Ohio State Fair. Foghat and Bad Company are two of the iconic powerhouses of classic rock and they didn't disappoint! Check-in was smooth, the ushers were friendly and helpful, the arena was fantastic! Great night all around. Well done!
The Venue: The Celeste Center and the whole Ohio State Fair experience are reasonable and a part of summer in Ohio that folks look forward to. The Celeste Center is just the right size for these kind of events, but could be dressed up a bit. The bare insulated walls painted white definitely remind you that you are at the state fair. The crowds and parking to get you in and out of the fair are not very efficient. Kind of still applying outdated principles to the traffic and people moving situation. The Acts: The fact that Bad Company with 2 original members, and Foghat with 1 original member, are still touring and playing this music live is a real treat. These are perfect acts for the Ohio State Fair. The Show: The Performances were both really good. The bands played their hits, and some things they really liked, to change it up a bit and were musically pretty tight. Sitting stage right, the bass drum and/or bass guitar for Foghat was a bit too thickly mixed creating a messy, soup of low tones at times, but there is a lot of metal in that building so it has to be hard to get the best balance. Paul Rogers was the key to a good Bad Company show and he was predictable, and while Foghat will never be the same band without Lonesome Dave and Rod Price, the musicality of the Foghat performance was good.
Both bands rocked the house! Played those songs we grew up listening and singing along to. It was one of those shows of a lifetime that for decades to come, we will be able to say " I saw those guys" and I'm glad I did. Thanks to Bad Company and Foghat for comming out here and playing for us. We love you.
Great venue! Great concert! Foghat rocked and Bad company was awesome
I’m not the only one who felt the song selection was very poorly put together. You had an eager and patient audience but you totally messed up the concert with I’ll conceived setlist. The audience was really into your music. then you played “Young Blood, Gone Gone Gone, All Because If You, Seagull”, really? Then it was “All Along the Watchtower and the finale; The Stealer”. Please reconsider your song choices because you had the audience rockin’ and then they sat on their hands for five songs.
We loved the venue, the staff and especially the concert! Foghat performed for almost an hour followed by Bad Company for over 2 hours. The music is timeless and the musicians' talent is top notch! We would love to see this show again!
Foghat was great and Bad Company was off the chart good. My only bummer was they didn't do Rock Steady but can't really complain since the show was sooo good. Paul Rodgers sounds as good if not better than he did in the 70's. AMAZING.
Great show and as always no problems going through Ticketmaster.
