Atsuko Okatsuka is a global standup comedian and actress whose highly anticipated second standup special will premiere in 2025 on Hulu and internationally on Disney+. The special follows the success of Atsuko's debut special THE INTRUDER (HBO), which was named "Best Debut Special of 2022" by the New York Times and one of the "Best Specials of 2022" by Vulture and Variety. Atsuko embarked on her FULL GROWN tour to sold-out theaters worldwide with over 200 shows in 100+ cities, 20+ countries, 4 continents, and over 100K tickets sold. Multiple clips from THE INTRUDER have gone viral garnering more than 100MM views on social media.
In addition to her standup career, Atsuko had roles in two films that debuted at the Tribeca Film Festival: ALL THAT WE LOVE directed by Yen Tan and GROUP THERAPY directed by Neil Berkely and produced by Kevin Hart's Hartbeat Productions. She also wrapped the upcoming feature studio comedy OUTCOME (Apple+) starring Jonah Hill and Keanu Reeves.
Atsuko's infectious joy and viral shenanigans have helped to make her a global star. During a tour stop in the Philippines, she made local news with a viral video of her riding a Jeepney. No stranger to virality, Atsuko has created multiple trending videos including one of her presenting at The Unforgettable Gala which has more than 100MM views, a video where she helped a couple get back together at her San Francisco show, to her starting the #DropChallenge, which brought Beyonce's song "Partition" back onto the charts. Atsuko makes an indelible impression everywhere she goes, with fans sometimes showing up to her shows wearing wigs of her bowl cut. Atsuko won the 2023 Gracie Award for "Best Special" for THE INTRUDER and she was nominated for "Best Comedian" by the Wowie Awards. Named one of Variety's 10 Comics to Watch for 2022, Atsuko made her late-night stand-up debut on THE LATE LATE SHOW WITH JAMES CORDEN with Vulture proclaiming she had "won late-night."
Other on-screen credits include HISTORY OF THE WORLD PT. II (Hulu), ROOM 104 (HBO), and THE SHOW NEXT DOOR WITH RANDALL PARK (ROKU+). Atsuko was recently featured on THIS AMERICAN LIFE with Ira Glass where she told the story of how she came to the U.S. with her grandmother who she was raised by and together they created the #DropChallenge which has amassed more than 10 MM views. Atsuko's unique upbringing has shaped her artfully offbeat and resilient persona which is perfectly embodied by her signature blunt bangs and bowl cut.
She has done global campaigns with Apple, Amazon Prime, Genesis, Kind Bar, Secret Deodorant, Kikori Whiskey and more. With her new special, Okatsuka joins the "Hularious" comedy brand, along with other notable comics including Jim Gaffigan, Bill Burr, Roy Wood Jr. and Ilana Glazer.

Atsuko Okatsuka is a comedic genius! Drinks were also good!
Atsuko Okatsuka Is such an original comedian. Great story teller, paints a picture with her whole being. my boyfriend and I kept running with some of the bits for days after the show. Like Texting each other water emojis #iykyk
Atsuko is an amazing, talented comedian! It was the first stand-up comedy show that I've ever been, and I loved it! My husband and I laughed whole time. She is naturally talented and funny. Love her performance!
Atsuko is an amazing comedian. She has us laughing from the moment she danced on stage.
I had so much fun watching Atsuko perform! She seems very comfortable on stage and is just so naturally funny. Would definitely recommend this show!
Atsuko was so funny! Her comedy was easy to understand, yet unique. I was very satisfied to see her show. The comedian guy who was on before Atsuko was alright. Venue was small and nice, but the waiter seriously needed to take a shower. Phew… that was a tough one.
Atsuko was fantastic. Charming, hilarious, and so graceful through myriad technical difficulties (house lights stayed up until she asked for them to go off, a bunch of sound cues were missed). Staff was attentive and kind.
atsuko deserves the spotlight she is on and everything else that is to come. Love to see her be so proud and witty about her weirdness! Now this is how you tell the world Geminis aren’t too bad. Haha! Love her, can’t wait to see what else she can do
I just love Atsuko. Great comedy and timing. She is so so sweet too.
Atsuko and her opener, Dylan, put on a hilarious and amazing show! Great energy, great dancing, and great stories.
Best comedy show I’ve seen in a while! Atsuko was hilarious from beginning to end!
Her opening act was amazing! She also was hilarious and kept us laughing the whole time! She also brought the blue man group on stage which was a fun surprise ! My favorite comedian of all time
Definitely need to watch her! She's relatable, has a very interesting life story, and her delivery is smooth!
Living in LA I have the good fortune of seeing excellent comics as they work on their materials throughout the year. Ditto w Atsuko so I was familiar with a couple of her bits on this show but they were slightly better and fit with the overall theme of her relationship w her husband and the theme of relationships in general. This show was definitely less about her grandmother with less Asian-accent. Hilarious and not one bomb. Highly recommend you catch her when she comes to your neck of the woods!!
She was everything I expected and even more! The opener was hilarious as well. Will def see her live again
I loved Atsuko! She is the funniest stand up act out there. Loved the venue, very classy, our seats were great, but I think every seat at the Ebell is a good one. Loved that the event started at 7 with the opening act, Atsuko was on at around 7:40. We drove back to Santa Barbara and I was home at a reasonable time, When you're 50+ that's kinda important, haha. I missed that there were no drinks available for purchase.
Show opened with the charming Dylan Adler, and then Atsuko started her unique storytelling. I have so much more admiration for her, because early on she had to deal with a loud, possibly drunk man front row center after his lady friend got up and left. Security was useless, so Atsuko's husband Ryan eventually lured the loud man out to try to resolve things with the lady friend, who apparently was still in the lobby. It's not their job to play couples counselors! Some man hijacks the show, pulling focus from a woman whose performance we all paid to see. Right around when she's talking about feminism! Atsuko, pro that she is, gathered herself and continued with her show and endeared herself more to us, a very appreciative audience. Palace of Fine Arts, get better Security!
Atsuko is hilarious and I am proud to call her “my new friend” 😉 Laugh after laugh she is awesome! Dylan, her opener, was fantastic as well All around great show 🤗❤️🤗
