The Philadelphia 76ers were one of the league's first franchises. Founded in 1946 and playing their first NBA season in 1949, the team was introduced as the Syracuse Nationals and played home games in upstate New York.
After moving to Philadelphia in 1963 and adopting the 76ers moniker in honor of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the city in 1776, the team has had a prominent history featuring several players who would go on to be inducted into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame: Dolph Schayes, Hal Greer, Wilt Chamberlain, Billy Cunningham, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, and Allen Iverson.
The 76ers have made 52 playoff appearances and earned nine trips to the NBA Finals, winning three World Championships. Chamberlain, Erving, Malone, Iverson and Joel Embiid have all also been named the NBA Most Valuable Player while playing for the 76ers, for a total of seven MVP awards.

The 76ers' current home arena originally opened its doors in 1996 as Spectrum II and was renamed Wells Fargo Center in 2010. The Wells Fargo Center officially seats 20,318 for NBA and college basketball games, and 19,541 for NHL and indoor NLL lacrosse events. Additionally, the offices, studios, and production facilities of NBC Sports Philadelphia are all located in the facility.

The Philadelphia 76ers’ 2023–24 regular season kicks off in October at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when the 76ers face off against the Milwaukee Bucks. We had gone to see the Birds the week previously and while I love the Birds as well, the experience can't compare to going to a Sixers game! There's so much less hassle and the food at Wells Fargo is definitely better (and the Sixers won...the Birds did not 😐) GO SIXERS!!!

I’m 6’5 and my 14 year old son is 6’2 , we were not comfortable in those small seats, especially having to get up every time someone needed to get by us. I guess we’ll have to spend $1000 to be comfortable. This was a surprise for my son, he’s a LaBron fan and plays basketball himself, this was his 1st NBA game and I wanted it to be perfect . Well hopefully I can give it another shot with better seats and view.

I just wish NBA Players outside of their Best Players see the Lakers on their Schedule and Make Every Three Pointer/Shot they take

No one in front of us and actually no one right behind us because the handicap seating was raised up behind us. My first time at the arena and I immediately noticed how clean it and organized it felt. The entertainment during the game kept my 9yr old locked in and we’ll definitely be back.

by Sal on 11/1/23Wells Fargo Center - PhiladelphiaThe police around the building are terrible at directing traffic. They were making us go opposite ways then we had to but was letting some people go. One of the police officers guided us to a turn that took us back on the parkway that took 15 minutes for us to make it back around. At that point we were late, we scanned in and showed our parking pass, guy told us to make this right and the first left and that’s our parking lot, nice and close to the entrance. As soon as we move up and start turning right the guy says we can’t go right and we have to make a left. He brought us into a parking lot that was way further than we were supposed to be in. We missed the first 6 minutes of the game. It was a great experience once we got there but everything else was terrible
