Philadelphia 76ers History
The Philadelphia 76ers were one of the league's first franchises. Founded in 1946 and playing their first NBA season in 1949, the team was introduced as the Syracuse Nationals and played home games in upstate New York.
After moving to Philadelphia in 1963 and adopting the 76ers moniker in honor of the signing of the Declaration of Independence in the city in 1776, the team has had a prominent history featuring several players who would go on to be inducted into the Pro Basketball Hall of Fame: Dolph Schayes, Hal Greer, Wilt Chamberlain, Billy Cunningham, Bobby Jones, Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, Moses Malone, Charles Barkley, and Allen Iverson.
The 76ers have made 52 playoff appearances and earned nine trips to the NBA Finals, winning three World Championships. Chamberlain, Erving, Malone, Iverson and Joel Embiid have all also been named the NBA Most Valuable Player while playing for the 76ers, for a total of seven MVP awards.

The 76ers' current home arena originally opened its doors in 1996 as Spectrum II and was renamed Wells Fargo Center in 2010. The Wells Fargo Center officially seats 20,318 for NBA and college basketball games, and 19,541 for NHL and indoor NLL lacrosse events. Additionally, the offices, studios, and production facilities of NBC Sports Philadelphia are all located in the facility.

The Philadelphia 76ers’ 2023–24 regular season kicks off in October at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin when the 76ers face off against the Milwaukee Bucks. The 76ers host their home opener against the Portland Trail Blazers on October 29. The 76ers play their final game of the regular season at home against Atlantic Division rivals the Brooklyn Nets. However, I was not informed by Ticketmaster of the benefits to the tickets I had purchased, special entry, access to lounge/bar area, free beer/soda/wine, and $25 per ticket food/bar credit. So we ate prior to the game and waited in the "regular"entry. Wish I had known this at the time I purchased the tickets.

by IB on 1/15/24Wells Fargo Center - PhiladelphiaI enjoyed the game however I paid $50 for a happy birthday message and the birthday message appeared on the screen 5 mins left into half time and it only showed for 5 seconds. I felt like the messages should’ve been on the Jumbotron longer or at least give the birthday person 76ers souvenirs for $50. I feel like I wasted my money.

We had gone to see the Birds the week previously and while I love the Birds as well, the experience can't compare to going to a Sixers game! There's so much less hassle and the food at Wells Fargo is definitely better (and the Sixers won...the Birds did not 😐) GO SIXERS!!!

I’m 6’5 and my 14 year old son is 6’2 , we were not comfortable in those small seats, especially having to get up every time someone needed to get by us. I guess we’ll have to spend $1000 to be comfortable. This was a surprise for my son, he’s a LaBron fan and plays basketball himself, this was his 1st NBA game and I wanted it to be perfect . Well hopefully I can give it another shot with better seats and view.
