Bluesy singer/songwriter Bonnie Raitt has worked long and hard for her multiple Grammy Awards, hit singles and chart-topping records. Since her 1971 eponymous debut, the California-born performer and long-time activist has steadily maintained a music career, albeit with definite peaks and valleys. The red-headed songstress, one of the only women of her time to play guitar using the bottleneck technique, unleashed seven albums in just nine years, though her big commercial break came with her 10th studio set, 1989’s “Nick of Time.” That 11-track collection, produced by Don Was, earned three Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
Not only has the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer tackled multiple U.S. tours and international runs, but she’s also a frequent participant in events of social activism, such as Farm Aid and Amnesty International concerts.
Raitt’s 16th full-length album and most recent studio release, “Slipstream,” hit retailers in 2012. Not only did ticket sales for the support tour soar, but Raitt also landed the best-selling blues album of the year and took home the Grammy for Best Americana Album.
And she closed with a Bruce Cockburn tune. Such respect for the Canadian musical artists. Good for Bonnie Rait.
We were supposed to see Bonnie Raitt 3 years ago and it was canceled due to the Pandemic. Well she was most definitely worth the wait . She and her band were outstanding. Very welcoming and down to earth . Loved all the great things she had to say about Canada /Canadians . Royal Wood who opened was great as well .
We had a great time. If you are a Bonnie Raitt fan, she did not disappoint!
We've been waiting to see Bonnie ever since she was booked to accompany James Taylor a few years ago. Her concert on Sept. 3 was truly worth the wait. A class act like no other, she rocked the joint, making us laugh and cry and get up and move. Yeah Bonnie! Keep on keeping on!
Everything was wonderful about the show. First of course, was Bonnie Raitt. Being a fan for 45 years I just had to see her. Love that she came up North. Her ease on stage, rapport with the audience both kind and funny. Her voice was so pure and strong. The song choices were perfect. Little this little that. Angel from Montgomery and Just Like That amazing and my favorites. So much emotion. The venue was small and lovely. No cells at all, but a few security controlled. If your a fan and can, do it!
I was as blown away how great she still sounds. She still can belt her songs without a problem. She had a great band behind her also. She’s a legend.
It was great - seen her many times and she gets better and better each time
Superb performance by a music icon supported by a very talented band; a totally cohesive tight unit! They played a good selection of her hits from new to old without skipping a beat. A solid nearly two-hour show with Bonnie and a great 45 minute Roy Rogers warm-up act made for a splendid evening of song and music. The packed house was rooting, stomping and clapping at the end for more! No flashy set or costumes, the only set change was the addition of a stool and box for Bonnie’s feet…yes you can have the best concert without all the claptrap!!! Thanks, Bonnie! This is how a truly professional concert should be run from people who really know how to play music. They are true musical craftsmen compared to today’s singers and music makers! A down to earth show that highlighted each musician’s skills as she stepped back to allow them to shine.
I loved the music and show by the performers. I was disappointed by how inconsiderate and disrespectful many of the crowd were to the performers and fellow attendees. Seriously, people, how hard is it to be in your seats when the lights go down and not moving around during the music or to refrain from disturbing others with your phone?
The first 3 songs were amazing, as expected. Unfortunately, due to health issues, I needed a bathroom and I fell! Very sore and humiliated, upset, I had to leave. So disappointed, No fault of Bonnie! ❤️
Bonnie Raitt was fantastic as usual. Also really enjoyed Maia Sharp. Wondering why every show I come to at Old National has a line waiting to get to our seats after we wait in line to get in the venue. Not a fan of that or the very overpriced drinks. However, staff is always super nice and this show was no exception.
Bonnie Raitt always puts on such a great show! She is amazing and her band is always top notch!!
If you haven't seen Bonnie Raitt, I would suggest getting tickets ASAP. She was amazing!
The Louisville Palace is my favorite venue and we had a great time FINALLY seeing the legendary Bonnie Raitt - great show!! Great staff all the way around at the venue
This was an amazing show. We had good seats, probably 4 rows from the stage. Bonnie is an amazing performer, made good jokes and commented on the weather (muggisimo). Her playing and the acoustics were fantastic.
Had waited months for this concert and Ms Raitt did not disappoint!! My original concert pal could not come back on the rescheduled date so transferring her ticket to someone else was seamless. The quality of sound in this building is awesome. My only hiccup was when they took my phone so I could go through the scanner it closed my ticket page and then it took me a good 10 minutes standing to the side to get it to reload! Great night out, great venue and great experience!
Bonnie’s concert in Indy was beyond amazing. She and her band were out of this world. The Murat is a perfect place for great musicians.
Bonnie did not disappoint. She still sounds amazing, is an engaging performer and should not be missed. Her band was so talented. This was a great night of music. Whether she's playing her new music that I don't know as well or it's the old favorites, they all sound amazing and heartfelt. Her engagement with the crowd was nice and endearing. She's a legend and lived up to that.
Bonnie sounded better than ever playing hits with a great band! Great time !!
Bonnie still has her voice and it was worth every dime. Great Band, great show. She is on break for 2 months. If you get the chance to see her, get your ticket asap! You will not be disappointed. There is a reason she was inducted to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame!
