About

Brett Goldstein--a breakthrough British creative force on and offscreen -- has emerged as one of Hollywood's most sought-after multihyphenates. He is the co-executive producer, writer, and star of the Peabody-winning Apple TV+ series, "Ted Lasso." Hailed by fans and critics alike, season three made waves after surpassing its previous record-breaking haul, once again leading as this year's most-nominated comedy series with 21 Emmy nominations. His scene-stealing performance as the brash yet lovable Roy Kent has earned him numerous accolades including two Primetime Emmy Awards for 'Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy,' making him the category's first back-to-back winner in almost 15 years.  He additionally received a 2022 WGA Award nomination as part of the show's writing team, having scored two wins the year prior. Goldstein is the creator and executive producer of the cathartic comedy "Shrinking" alongside Jason Segel and Bill Lawrence, which has been renewed for a second season by Apple TV+. This follows the success of his critically acclaimed AMC limited anthology series, "Soulmates," which he created and executive produced with Will Bridges. He is the host of the iHeartRadio award-winning podcast, Films To Be Buried With, which finds him in candid conversation with special guests as they discuss the films that have shaped them.

    Absolutely Brilliant

by DaniLawnie on 1/28/24The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Brett was brilliant! Raw, honest, comically crude. So happy he finally came to Philly and we caught his show. If you’re offended by cursing and detailed stories, this may not be the show for you, but if you love to laugh, and love a good, dirty story, this is a show to catch. And it doesn’t hurt he’s a handsome man with a British accent.

    Lots of laughs!

by Rachel on 1/28/24The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

First introduced to Brett Goldstein through his hilarious portrayal of the incomparable Roy Kent on Ted Lasso. Brett had us laughing nearly non-stop the entire time. He was engaging, self-deprecating, charming, timely and downright hysterical! The Met is also a beautiful venue! Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was due to lack of parking options and the underwhelming opening comic.

    Great show, but pricey

by Sue-BA_Fan on 1/28/24The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Show was great - Brett Goldstein is funny, and Ted Lasso fans will love the stand-up side of him. He picked my question for the Q&A at the end, which was really funny. The pre-paid parking was convenient, and The Met is a great venue. Tickets were pricey, though. I’m really glad I went and had a great night out. But I probably wouldn’t pay that much again.

    Amazing Show!

by Killy on 1/28/24The Met Philadelphia - Philadelphia

Although the opening act was mediocre, Brett Goldstein was amazing! Highly recommend if you get a chance, and I will definitely will be back. The only downside was the tickets were a little pricey. The Met was amazing, though, and recommend the VIP area if you get a chance.

    Fabulous Night!

    by Corinne on 1/28/24

Had no idea what to expect in terms of his stand up but love his podcast and he’s a brilliant writer. The show did not disappoint! He is hilarious and I loved the variance of thought provoking to raunchy to just kind of ridiculous (no idea how to label it) content. Still laughing when I think of some of the bits!

    Great event

by Chris on 1/24/24The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I was familiar with Brett's work from his podcast and his TV work, but wasn't sure what to expect from his stand-up. I really enjoyed it. The venue is what we've come to expect from the Chicago Theatre, going to shows there a few times a year in most years. It's a nice venue, but the amenities aren't anything special. You're there for a show, not to be wow'd by the food, drink, merch, or bathrooms. The seats aren't luxurious, but they aren't uncomfortable for me as a bigger person (over 6-ft tall). There are some seated venues I avoid, this isn't one of those. One point left room for improvement: the ushers were very good about enforcing the "no phone/no recording"rule, which I appreciate, but part of that meant leaving the back-of-the-aisle doors open for much of the show. On a cold January evening and with some light and noise from people in the lobby bleeding in, both I and the person with me noticed it was a bit of a distraction and took a little away from our enjoyment of the show. We were probably about 8-10 rows from the back of the section, so something to keep in mind if you're in one of those rows. Not a major issue, but worth noting.

What a great show. Brett was funny and cute and humble. He seemed to speak very honestly and his jokes really hit the mark. And his comedic timing is spot on! I only wish the show was longer.

    Great Show!

by MarilynR on 1/23/24The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Enjoyed the show. The opening act with Mo was ok. Brett did not disappoint—his point of view was unique and funny. The sound was very good for the most part—you have to tune in to his accent. Would recommend the show.
