Beautifully presented in every aspect!
by JCWARN on 4/19/15Palace Theatre New York - New YorkI am not sure what we expected to see, but this American in Paris, surprised us and surpassed all of our earth bound expectations! It is a very sophisticated interpretation of the original movie, not a copy cat reproduction. All of the cast members were superlative, the dancing beautifully rendered. It did take me a bit to get used to the fluid scenery, but then I figured out, the dancers were moving in a ballet fashion, telling the background story. Amazing and wonderful! The sets themselves were beautiful and made a very effective contribution to telling the story, not overpowering the rest of the production. Everything about this production was magnificent. A wonderful night in the theater! Congratulations to Mr. Fairchild, Ms. Cope, and the wonderful Max von Essen. Our best night in the theater in years!
