About

Allen Stone is an R&B / soul singer from Chewelah, WA. The son of the pastor of the local church, he was immersed in gospel from an early age until he found funk and soul as a teenager through Stevie Wonder’s Innversions. Billboard has praised his “disarmingly soulful vocals” and WXPN says "his energetic shows, plus his warm and evocative albums, explain why Stone has such a solid fan base". Allen released his 3rd studio album in 2019 called Building Balance that includes hit songs Brown Eyed Lover, Sunny Days, and Consider Me. Building Balance is a textured amalgam of R&B and soul, which saw Stone draw inspiration from ‘70s funk and punctuate his music with modern pop flourishes. His latest release, a cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love”, is the first song off his upcoming acoustic album APART, due to releases Nov 12th. “This album was a way to pay homage to the songs that have been my foundational support for the last decade, and to also pay homage to all the people who’ve loved these songs over the years,” says Stone. He has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as the Special Olympics opening ceremony, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and has been a guest mentor on American Idol.

Best concert in a long time - worth the wait

by Thelmalou on 2/4/22House of Blues San Diego - San Diego

Originally had tickets for April 2020. Allen Stone was 1000% worth the wait. We also paid extra for VIP early entrance. He answered questions, recorded messages and played a song. The entire concert was AMAZING!!!

One of the best concerts ever!

by Yolz on 2/2/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

To entertain a crowd with just your voice, one instrument and 2 backing vocalists is pure talent. He has the audience in the palm of his hand. We were all there to FEEL something and be validated by him and he delivered. He adlibbed vocal melodies with such passion and present moment consciousness. This is why It was one of the best concerts Ive been too. This can not be delivered through a screen, this is something to be experienced live. The venue was impressive. I could see easily ( its raised at the sides) and no one was pushing on me or in my space. I was just so comfortable, which sadly is very rare watching live music. My only gripe is the long lines at the bar as we entered. And when he started, we were STILL in line. The bar staff worked quickly, but lines shouldn’t be that long. When he started the lines were empty. Beautiful area in that Disneyland garden walk. Entry staff were efficient and polite. Can’t wait to see Allen Stone again soon.

    Soothing for the soul

by Anne L. on 2/1/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

First time seeing Allen Stone. A warm intimate set. Just him with a couple of backup singers. I love this venue. GA floor has great sight lines since the stage is elevated appropriately. Sound quality was terrific. Thermostat always set to comfortably cool so no overheating in the crowd. Definitely recommend!

    A Master Of Positivity

by DaveD on 2/1/22House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

I've seen Allen Stone about six times...this particular show was one of the most relaxed and joyful of those many. His funny and friendly banter made the show intimate. And, that's saying a lot because his shows are always great...but, this one felt personal and his appreciation of the audience was overflowing. Nice to see an artist being vulnerable on stage and yet powerful in his performance...a 6 star evening.

Wish I knew there wasn’t an opener

by B on 1/28/22Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

This was my 5th time seeing Allen Stone, every other time there’s been an opener and the show lasted 2+ hours. This show was amazing as always but there was not an opener and the entire show was 1.5 hours. So if you didn’t get there early, you missed most of the show. I wish the ticket information would have mentioned that there was not an opener.

    Great night in SA

    by M. W. on 1/25/22Aztec Theatre - San Antonio

This was my first time seeing Allen Stone in concert. He was amazing. He connected with the audience on a personal level and spoke openly and honestly about touring and life. I appreciate the acustic version vs. the big band. Great show and highly recommend.

    Incredible Artistry

by Over 50 on 1/25/22Aztec Theatre - San Antonio

We arrived in town Saturday and saw the marquee for live music across the street from the hotel. I Googled Allen Stone. We like acoustic guitar. The Aztec is a fun venue with the ornate architecture. When Allen began singing I thought wow this is true art. He was giving us a part of his soul with each run and carefully delivered phrase. The room was electric with the energy between the artist and the patrons. We have really missed seeing live music. Bravo to Allen and his top-notch back-up singers for braving the Covid road and following their passion to deliver live music to a hungry crowd of concert goers. Allen drew the crowd in with his personal ante dotes and warmth. We left feeling nourished by his soulful and heartfelt performance.

    Disappointed VIP

by Tiffany on 1/18/22Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

I paid $130 for the VIP experience and I felt like I was completely ripped off. The VIP experience consisted of a 10 minute sound check and a free scarf. The people managing the concert let us in the building for the sound check then made us leave and wait outside until just before doors opened. We were let back into the building about 5 minutes before the doors open time, but we were not let into the room where the concert would be. We were made to wait outside the doors for another 10 to 15 minutes. At this point we were told that we were not allowed to sit in the few seats that were available because we had not purchased an additional ticket for seats. We had already paid an extra $100 for the VIP experience and no one told us that this did not include seats. The only thing that had been said about seating before this was that seating was limited and available on a first come/first serve basis. We understood the limited seating, but thought the early access would give us a good chance of getting a seat. The concert was also underwelming. Doors opened at 7:30pm, but the concert didn't start until 9pm. So people were pretty much just buying drinks for an hour and a half. I was also not expecting that there wouldn't be a band to accompany Allen Stone. Allen Stone is a great singer, but this was pretty much a one man band experience. Overall, this was a pretty disappointing experience that I feel like I completely overpaid for. My impression of the night was that this was mostly an opportunity for the venue to sell drinks.

    Life Changing!

by Sweet Butter Joe on 1/18/22Culture Room - Ft Lauderdale

Love love love Allen Stone, digging the stripped down acoustic vibe. Venue was great (other than the hour-plus wait to get in and the show starting an hour and a half late), seats were incredibly reasonably priced. All-in-all, an amazing experience!

    Blown away

by Fan from Bama! on 1/16/22Center Stage Theater - Atlanta

My husband and I drove from Montgomery Alabama to see him at Center stage in Atlanta. Loving his music, we knew that a smaller venue would probably take it to a new level. Boy were we right! It was a last-minute decision to go to the concert so we were literally on the very top row. There is not a bad seat at that venue and Allen Stone’s performance Blew me away. Loved him even better in person than on his recordings! So many of his new songs were very sweet and moving. Some even made me cry. Loved it,… Recommend it,… Will definitely see him again!
