About

Allen Stone is an R&B / soul singer from Chewelah, WA. The son of the pastor of the local church, he was immersed in gospel from an early age until he found funk and soul as a teenager through Stevie Wonder’s Innversions. Billboard has praised his “disarmingly soulful vocals” and WXPN says "his energetic shows, plus his warm and evocative albums, explain why Stone has such a solid fan base". Allen released his 3rd studio album in 2019 called Building Balance that includes hit songs Brown Eyed Lover, Sunny Days, and Consider Me. Building Balance is a textured amalgam of R&B and soul, which saw Stone draw inspiration from ‘70s funk and punctuate his music with modern pop flourishes. His latest release, a cover of Bob Marley’s “Is This Love”, is the first song off his upcoming acoustic album APART, due to releases Nov 12th. “This album was a way to pay homage to the songs that have been my foundational support for the last decade, and to also pay homage to all the people who’ve loved these songs over the years,” says Stone. He has performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, as well as the Special Olympics opening ceremony, NPR’s Tiny Desk, and has been a guest mentor on American Idol.

Didn't really know what to expect from this show. I had seen Allen Stone on Connan and was immediately interested. Glad I went. Show was great, Allen and the band were terrific!

If you like dancing, Allen Stone is a must see

    by jimmy90 on 2/21/12Knickerbockers - Lincoln

There wasn't a huge amount of people at the concert but I contribute that ONLY to the fact that this guy is a best kept secret. Great performance by Allen and the band and I couldn't stop dancing the whole time. His voice is spot on and there didn't seem to be a single flaw in the overall performance. Also, I was able to meet Allen and he was very friendly with the audience. I could tell he appreciated all his fans and I was easily able to get a pic and signed album. One of the best concerts I've been to. If he's ever in this region again, I'm there.

Allen Stone is amazing in concert & you are missing out on the full experience of his music if you haven't seen him live. Tommy & The High Pilots are fun performers whose genuine love for music can be seen during & after the show. Highly recommend both performers.

I went for Tommy and the High Pilots. They had an astounding show and hopefully they will be back in the cities soon. Allen Stone also had a great show.

Can't wait to see them again!

by DJNuuk on 2/17/12Fine Line Music Cafe - Minneapolis

Great show! Both bands were really, really fun! I was really impressed by Tommy and the High Pilots, and Allen Stone did not disappoint. Plus, they did a double encore! Great show all around. Constructive criticism for the venue, however, is that the half seating, half standing thing was a little awkward.

Thank you Pittsburgh for coming out on a Mon nite

by Anonymous on 2/15/12The Club at Stage AE - Pittsburgh

Amazing voice of Allen stone is hard to process with his appearance...he says his soul music is a little greasy and he wanted to get sweaty so we could all be friends by the end-- also cover of "I can't make you love me" was expertly performed but made me not love him. In fact I think that song tipped the scales from unique to cheesy. The drummer without his shirt was super hot and kept a sweet beat, but must have been pretty cool in the nearly empty and ingested star ae back stage. The 70 or less people in the audience didn't warm things up much. The keyboard player totally rocked! Overall the venue may have been the venue that made it not-so-cool, but if you read this Allen please play your own songs...from the heart they are better and more believable.

Allen Stone is a must see!

by movementsandnonsense on 2/15/12The Club at Stage AE - Pittsburgh

Allen Stone is the next big thing in soul music! Besides having an incredible voice and an incredible band behind him, the man is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. And if you go to one of his shows nationwide, you will most likely be able to kick it with him by the merch table after he performs! What other artist is taking the time to thank everyone for coming and stays around to take photos with them!?

Allen Stone was amazing! Best concert ever!

by CaitiePotatie on 2/14/128x10 - Baltimore

My husband and I had the best time at the Allen Stone concert! His energy and voice are amazing! He even personally met all his fans after the show and graciously took pictures and signed autographs for everyone. The band was also incredibly talented. Allen is a true talent and I'm a life-long fan. I HIGHLY recommend seeing Allen Stone in concert, he's gotten me more excited about music than I've been in years!

    Allen Stone is the Truth

by omegaIV on 2/14/128x10 - Baltimore

One of the best shows I've been to. The opening bands were ok. Allen blew us away though. Atmosphere was great. He sounds better live than on record.

    ALLEN STONE

    by Bland1987 on 2/14/128x10 - Baltimore

I thought the show was great! The venue always wonderful. It is so nice to have such an intimate setting with an artist you love. I was surprised to see the first bad come in before Tommy and the High Pilots. Made for a long show, but both Allen and Tommy were so great and left their hearts on the stage. I love seeing artists go all out when they perform. I would recommend anyone to see Allen Stone as many times as possible. This was my second time seeing and I'll continue to see him whenever I get the chance.

    Allen Stone

by rgwz on 2/14/128x10 - Baltimore

Allen Stone is absolutely awesome and so is his entire band! Just hated the fact that the concert was advertised for 7:00 PM and then I had to suffer through 3 hours of horrible acts before Allen Stone actually started.
