A Flock of Seagulls on Tour

Get ready to ride the wave. A Flock of Seagulls are on tour and bringing their new wave hits to the stage with all the energy their fans and audiences remember. The band's peak success was found in the early 1980s and they are returning on tour to reunite with the generation that made them famous. The 2022 and 2023 tour will span the United States, making 10 stops along the way. Fans of the band will be thrilled to hear hits from their youth such as  "I Ran (So Far Away,)"  "Space Age Love Song," "Wishing (If I Had a Photograph of You" and "The More You Live, the More You Love." The tour promises to deliver nostalgia and new memories to all who attend.

A Flock of Seagulls Live in Concert

A Flock of Seagulls formed in 1979 in Liverpool. Lead vocalist and keyboardist Mike Score is also the founder of the band. Other current members include Kevin Rankin on drums, Gord Deppe on guitar and Pando on bass. The group's debut single "(It's Not Me) Talking," set them on the path to success. The band was signed to major label Jive in 1982 and distributed through CBS records, where they released their second single "Telecommunication." This Grammy-winning synthpop group grew to infamy with their offbeat haircuts and unconventional and eclectic music style, an unforgettable combination that has fans still reeling for more. The band attributes a large amount of their early success with the support and playtime they received from MTV.  In 2018, the band's original members released a new album titled Ascension, their first studio recording since 1984. The 12-track album featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra.  Following the success of this album, the band released another highly anticipated album -- String Theory, which again featured the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra -- in 2021. The band continues to proudly demonstrate their uniqueness and off-the-cuff style. A Flock of Seagulls is bringing the nostalgia back with their 2022 and 2023 tour across the United States.

  • A trip back in time

by BrittE on 1/29/24The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

I have only heard of the opening band, Strangelove. I didn't expect much but they sounded very much like Depeche Mode as advertised. The show was electric! A Flock of Seagulls came out and started to play and it was a near psychedelic experience and going on a trip back to the 80s. They are better live than on their albums. They played a few songs off of their to-be-released album and the songs were really good as well so I will be looking forward to the release. I haven't been to the Pageant in several years. I like the new layout and the staff was very helpful and fun talking to before the event started. Looking forward to the next event! Thank you!

Strangelove was great! Flock of Seagulls were tired.

  • Excellent show!

by Nankey on 1/29/24The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

Strangelove & Flock of Seagulls were both outstanding. The acoustics were great & both groups really got the crowd into it. Ticketmaster has been great to work with & the Pageant is a terrific venue. Keep up the great work.

  • Flock of Seagulls Concert

by Charlie on 1/29/24The Pageant - St LouisRating: 5 out of 5

This was a great concert and the venue was nice and clean. The seats were comfortable and there didn't appear to be a bad seat in the house. Prices for merchandise was better than most venues that I have attended over the last couple years. There was a meet and greet with the band "Strangelove", and A flock of Seagulls was happy to do a few autographs after the show as well. All in all, it was an excellent experience and a good time. The only thing that would of been nice, is if the venue offered some basic food menu items.

  • Warm up act was better

by AverageJoe on 1/28/24The Pageant - St LouisRating: 3 out of 5

Strangelove - the Depeche Mode tribute act - came out with great energy and played a great show. Flock of Seagulls was low energy. The singer - Mike Score - didn’t interact with the audience much which left the bass player to try and pick up the slack. It didn’t go well. Some people just left. Crowd was deflated after watching a great show by Strangelove.

  • 5 Stars for Stranglelove

by RikkiSixx on 1/16/24Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

To be blunt, there was no way to follow the performance of Strangelove. Mid way through their gig, I thought anyone after them OTHER than the real Depeche Mode should go home. I would have been fine with seeing Strangelove and then leave. And I should have. As far as I am concerned, I saw Depeche Mode that night. And LOVED it! Main act. Them! I didn't know what to expect but I didn't expect a Flop of Beagles. It's the 2nd concert that I have seen (Van Halen and Kool and The Gang) where the opening gig had better sound and stage presence. The current iteration of Flock certainly does not uphold the legacy of the original band. If you Wiki them, you will see about 50 musicians passing through that band. The lead singer and founder is it. Never seen that before. And while they played new songs, it left me wondering what label would pay for that album? Well you don't really need a label or producer anymore. Naby do it on their own to save money. I felt bad for the bass player. He was trying to engage the audience by waving arms. Well the people were leaving and not too much waving going on. There was no point to them.

  • So Sad

by Old New Waver on 1/16/24Lillian S. Wells Hall at The Parker - Ft LauderdaleRating: 2 out of 5

Opening number got the audience out of their seats. Shortly after that, it was a room full of board patrons as AFOS played some of their recent music. The final few tunes were familiar and once again the crowd got up and moved. I Ran ended the show. No encore; what else could they play?

  • Just OK

by Moejoe on 1/13/24Rating: 3 out of 5

We attended the 2024 tour opening show at a small venue in Mt Dora, FL. They only played for about an hour and just 3 of their big hits. I enjoyed the opening band Ordinary Boys playing Morrissey & The Smiths more than FOS.

  • A Flock of Seagulls & Strange Love

by Page23 on 12/5/23The Fillmore Silver Spring - Silver SpringRating: 3 out of 5

The opener, Strange Love, really stole the show — they were surprisingly good!! A Flock of Seagulls were ok — sorta felt like they were phoning it in. The sound mix was not good — vocals too high, guitar too low. Also, the show was interrupted by firemen running in behind the bar…not sure what that was about??

  • Awesome

I have had an amazing experience on this event because it brought me memories from my childhood, they sound great. I love it 🫶🖤

  • Amazing show and great staff!!

The sound wasn’t fantastic, but the show was great, and the staff very friendly and polite

  • They rocked it at Seaworld

by Xerophytic on 8/6/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Saw them for the first time at Sea World Orlando on 8/5. They played most of their songs from the Listen and Story of a Young Heart albums along with a new unreleaed song. Overall I thought they did very good. A couple audio issues that were resolved quickly. They played Space Age Love Song twice in a row, with the audience singing along the second time around. Mike Score lost his voice a couple times throughout the show, but otherwise I thought he held up pretty well. He did seem a little burned out though, but to be fair he is around 65 years old now... so there's that. His wife and kid were sitting a few rows ahead of us, so that was pretty cool. She seemed very supportive and engaged with the band. We ended up catching a guitar pick at the end, which was decent.

  • Great atmosphere

by Boedie on 8/3/23Rating: 5 out of 5

They were great and so was the opening band, Depeche Mode cover band

  • Great Concert but...

by Sam on 8/2/23Rating: 4 out of 5

The concert was great but the acoustics were terrible. Not sure why but we could barely understand what the band members were saying.

  • Awesome concert! And even a new song!

by Robin on 8/1/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Loved every minute of it! Great concert and love House of Blues!
