  • Great show

by Fawkesthorn on 12/5/19Toby's Dinner Theatre Columbia - ColumbiaRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the show was amazing. I enjoy every show I have gone to. Unfortunately, the food wasn't as good. Most of the meats were dry as well as the cake and the pasta was over cooked. The waiter was great.

Not a powerful Broadway production, but extremely well performed despite the script. Lots of subtle themes. Great cast. Orchestra was a little weak.

It was such a great way to tie in to the movie, but yet be a stand alone experience.

  • So much fun!!!

This show was absolutely amazing and worth every single penny I paid. I’m a huge fan of the movie so wasn’t quite sure what to expect, but it blew me away. The acting was superb, singing was phenomenal, the songs were perfect and I found myself singing Ralphie to the Rescue the next day. A+++++++++

  • Heartfelt and entertaining

Incredibly entertaining show! The cast was very talented, loved all of the musical pieces and the clever way they worked in the narration... and it did not disappoint on hitting all of the key scenes from the movie.

  • Really enjoyed the performance. The kids were incredible.

A wonderful musical that got us filled with the Christmas tradition. A few changes from the movie, but only Make the story better.

  • Good show

by Cdubs on 12/25/18Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

It’s hard to make such a classic movie into a musical, but I think they did a great job at picking the important scenes. The music in the first act dragged a bit but was better in the second act. I’m not sure it was worth $98 per ticket but it was an enjoyable evening.

  • Great Family Musical

by Toolguy on 12/25/18Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

The Fox Detroit is beautiful and a great venue. We were blown away with the Ralphie role and know this musical will be an annual outing. Thank you for the special experience.

Loved the Musical. Love Fox Theater. It was a bit of a hassle before the show. They don't seat you soon enough, the show started late.

    by Santa63 on 12/20/17Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

This show was absolutely the movie all over again. Every person that played a character in the show was incredible. they made you feel like you were their celebrating Christmas Story on stage with them. This is a show well worth seeing. Enjoy and Merry Christmas

  • didn't lend itself to be a musical.

by bojoman on 12/20/17Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 3 out of 5

Save your money. This is a great story, but not a musical. It seemed like they were trying to find some spots to insert songs. Nahh, not worth it. It was more like a High School performance.

  • Great fun

by Auntcher on 12/20/17Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 5 out of 5

Highly recommend this wonderful production of a favorite Christmas story!

  • Loved A Christmas Story

    by GolfingMom2 on 12/20/17Rochester Auditorium Theatre - RochesterRating: 4 out of 5

True to the movie, I was happily surprised with the play. I wasn’t sure how it would translate into a musical but I ended up loving it! Great casting, especially the narrator, Ralphie, and his Dad. The tap dancing scene was amazing-the one boy was incredible. It was a perfect date the week before Christmas. Definitely recommend it!
