Avett Brothers Concert Schedule and Tour
Growing up in Concord, North Carolina, and influenced by Bob Dylan, Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Neil Young, brothers Scott Avett on banjos and Seth Avett on guitars formed The Avett Brothers with standup bassist Bob Crawford in 2001, and released their first studio album Country Was in 2002, as well as live concert album that same year. Their stripped down, folky sound has a maudlin but warm vibe, full of gorgeous melodies and bluegrass jingle jangle. 2003's A Carolina Jubilee followed on Ramseur Records, as well as 2004’s Mignonette, which further polished their sound with graceful harmonies. In between a relentless concert and touring schedule, the band managed to record 2006’s Four Thieves Gone: The Robbinsville Sessions and The Gleam EP, in addition to a second live album, between tours before releasing their 2007 album Emotionalism. This garnered a lot of critical acclaim and caught the attention of Rick Rubin, who signed the band to his American Records label and produced their follow-up 2009’s I and Love and You, expanding their sound and bringing the band to new heights. Their seventh full-length album The Carpenter, also produced by Rubin, came out in 2012, debuting at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 and earning their first Grammy nomination. The Avett Brothers latest, Magpie and the Dandelion, was released in October 2013 and is full of pop charisma and folk soul that has been enchanting ticket holders and pulling at their heartstrings with its raw energy and intimacy.

Buyer be ware Before you book Avett Brothers inquire about the pre performers Last year in Charlotte the front performer was a hard rock singer who blasted the stadium exhausted the fans and paraded around taking his shirt off. we traveled to charlotte from Pinehurst and were looking forward to hearing the Avett Brothers live. it was hours before they appeared at which time it was nearing 11 or later So we simply left and will never risk that experience again Why would the Avett. Brothers even think their fans who like their genre of music would want to be exposed to random unskilled hard rock performer If you choose to go to Raleigh for New Years ask what time the. Avett Brothers will come to stage and who and what genre of music will precede them We showed up on time for 8 o’clock start and said it was hours before they appeared Tickets were a Cmas present for friends Sorry I could not return this gift
The venue, Vina Robles Amphitheater, is fabulous! The band was great.
The Avett Brothers consistently do a great show and at this concert they played a good mix of newer and older songs along with some surprises. The problem was the sound quality at the venue. We were in the middle of the lefthand section and when only one person was performing, it sounded fine...but as more artists joined in, the sound became muddier and muddier. We walked to the center aisle to test the location theory and the sound was much better in the center section. We will only purchase tickets in the center section going forward.
Vina Robles Amphitheater: Sound was fantastic, band was in fine form. Other longer time fans said this might have been they best Avett Bros show they had seen yet. Felt privileged to have this be the first time I saw them live. They ended up playing the two songs we wanted to see the most near the encore. Hard to top this show: will look forward to seeing them again in the future. We didn’t even miss not having an opening act: band played for 2 hours straight. The venue was very nice: I had seen other shows here before and knew sound and amenities would be good. All in all a great show and a great experience.
Love them, loved the concert, loved the venue. I am so glad that we got to see them.
I love the Avett Brothers music and was seeing them live for first time. They were awesome and exceeded expectation. However, the Vina Robles amphitheater audience was immature and self absorbed. Standing and blocking viewing for no reason but to be cool. Hundreds of loud conversations going on during the concert. Drunk folk in the aisles acting like fools and the staff did very little to help. Avett Bros didn’t deserve this audience but I’d see them again in a different setting.
The performance and the audience was very soulful and uplifting. Glad to be part of it.
The Avett’s rocked. A great show. The crowd had a ton of energy. Best show of the year.
This is an amazing intimate outdoor venue in beautiful wine country. The concessions are VERY reasonably priced as well. Will defiantly follow Vino Robles for future events. Avett Brothers were their typical amazing selves who always give a tremendous performance.
This was my first time seeing The Avett Brothers live and I just didn't feel good energy with the crowd. They didn't address the crowd or introduce any songs. No connection.
This show was incredible! They are so good live! They play so many instruments and they sound so great together! Their harmonies are so tight. They are amazing! It was such a fun show. The one thing that would have made it a 5 instead of a 4 would have been screens so we could really see them well. This was just too big of a venue to not have them. I am in a wheelchair and so there aren’t any seats that I could sit closer than the back of the first section so I really couldn’t see as well as I would have liked. I brought binoculars so that was good but yeah that is my only complaint. Other than that is was great! They are unique and have such great songs and I loved every second! I also loved that they started on time! We didn’t have to wait for them to get onstage for an hour and a half. They literally took the stage the minute the show was supposed to start which is almost u heard of for concerts! Ha but it was awesome! We had a great time!
The venue which is in Maverik hockey rink is a bummer of a venue for a summer night… It was Wednesday and the Avett brothers were not really feeling it!! They are one of my favorite bands, and it was kind of disappointing… Patient till summer concert events at that venue… I will never return my house for a hockey game!!
High energy band with a beautiful mix of fast and slow songs. I loved the song choices and the audience was respectful to each other.
The venue was great, sound was perfect and the Avett brothers are incredible. One of the best concerts I’ve been to!
This is one of my favorite bands ever and they were amazing. That said, when I went to purchase tickets it primarily gave me options far away from the stage, even though it seemed like the venue was only half full, and with no jumbotron screen, they looked like miniature people. We moved closer so it was a little better, but still the visibility was incredibly limited without a screen. And the sound wasn’t great, difficult in a big venue but I have heard better sound at bigger concerts at Vivint arena, where vocals and instruments are crisp and clearly distinguishable. The system at this show muddled the vocal to the extent that if you don’t already know lyrics you wouldn’t have a prayer or understanding them, and on some of the tunes where there is more dense instrumentation, the sound got very muddy. I am a musician so I am picky about these things, and overall the Avett Brothers put on a spectacular show as always, but they weren’t well served by their sound system. What could have been a phenomenal show was merely great because of this. But seeing the Avett Brothers live is always a treat and I would go back. Just hope Maverick will do better.
These guys are so talented and fun to watch. Great show!
Wonderful show, so much energy, so much original music, such expertise and passion. I love their music and very much enjoyed the show!
Avett Brothers are talented musicians who make an audience feel at home
Avett Brothers are a must-see. They put on an enthusiastic, heart-felt, energic, personalized show. It appears they were really glad to be in Boise and appreciative of the audience. I'll be back. The venue is great. Additional porta potties on the east side, and a drink station on the west side would spread out the lines. Other than that, I can't wait to bike to the next show at the Idaho Botanical Gardens.
