    Potted Potter: cracking good!

by Schafcisco on 1/12/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Loved it and my 8 year old Harry Potter fan daughter did as well. I've never seen her laugh so hard at a performance. There's something quite special about watching your child fall back in her chair, mouth wide open in delight. I laughed just as hard and enjoyed the show just as much...as did all of the adults in attendance and there were many! Wicked good fun, even if you've not read all the books you'll still enjoy (plus they don't give away too many spoilers). The live quidditch game (audience participation) was a hoot and so much fun. The "I will survive" sing-off was priceless. Kudos to the brilliant actors who pulled off the unthinkable: 2 guys parodying their way through 7 Harry Potter books with few costumes and props. Speaks volumes to their talent. Go see it if you get the chance!

    So dumb

by Andrean277 on 1/12/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

My daughter and I are big Harry Potter fans and we wanted to like this show but we just didn't. Dumb jokes, silly antics. We knew it was a parody but expected a smart, frenetic race through all 7 books.. sadly, it was not. Glad we didn't pay a lot for the tickets, but we did waste essentially the whole day on it.

Potted Potter was an awesome show for the whole family! It was laugh out loud funny and you don't need to have seen the movies or have read the books to appreciate! The actors did an amazing job!!! I would highly recommend this to everyone you will not be disappointed!!

    Too funny for words!

by suitegal on 1/7/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

This play was short but very funny. I never stopped laughing. I'm not a big Harry Potter fan but with limited knowledge, I was able to follow the plot and enjoy the show.

Funny but silly and very short

by Potterfan60000 on 1/7/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I'm glad I payed only $40 for these tickets, I would have been disappointed if I paid full price. We took our 13-9 yr old kids and they loved it. Their humor exactly. My husband and I enjoyed it but definitely were not wowed. Sitting up front is desirable for audience interaction.

    Kid humor

by mdc1986 on 1/6/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

A good event for children who are fans of Harry Potter. Not as interesting for adults. Did not enjoy the relationship between the actors.

    About What I Expected

by BootsChicago on 1/6/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

First of all, I am not a "Potter-Head". My kids are and the seemed to enjoy the show. I thought the guys in the show stretched about 30 minutes of material into an 80 minute show. It was fun, but not fantastic.

by Anyanka2u on 1/6/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I didn't know what to expect when we were going to see this. I am so happy we went! What a blast. It was the most fun I have had at a show in a long time. I highly recommend going and bringing any other Potter loving friends along. <3 5 stars. Thanks to these two guys for being creative and clever.

    Amazing energy

by highdentist on 1/6/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

After watching the show, Potted Potter, I felt exhausted. I can only imagine the actor's feelings on finishing the show. The two actors were amazing in the amount of energy they exuded. It was a very delightful and entertaining spoof and I was glad to have seen it. They were able to pull funny scenes or character traits from the book and expound on their humor. They were like a caricature of the stories, bringing out the most obvious points and elaborating on them. Well done.

    Potted Potter was spot on

by Pepper50 on 1/6/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

I'm not sure what was more fun, watching the duo on stage having as much of a laugh as the audience, or seeing my 13 year old daughter's beaming face as she watched the show. It had laughs for all ages and was engaging for even the non Harry Potter fans. Highly recommend!

    funny show

by wilmom on 1/6/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

Went to the show with my 2 sons, 11 & 16. The show had us all laughing the entire time. You don't need to be a huge Harry Potter fan to go, probably should have some idea of the HP books/movies. 2 guys perform the entire show in approx. 70 minutes. They have amazing energy! The jokes are goofy and silly. Don't go to this show, if you want grand special effects and stage props, but if you want a very funny 70 minutes - this one is for you.

    It was fun

by BRianK60175 on 1/6/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

A little more improv and a little less storyline than I expected, but was a fun night, not a bad seat in the theatre so don't stress over ticket prices.

Potted Potter had me smiling the whole show!

by KFWH on 1/5/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

The best thing I can say about a show/concert is that my husband and I with laughter and excitement repeat bits of scenes and animatedly talk about different parts of the show the whole ride home and we did this with "Potted Potter". It was "my cheeks are hurting from laughing/smiling funny! One of the actor/writers came out into the audience and started shaking audience members hands before the show got started. That took it to another level as then we were more drawn in-even though he didn't shake my hand! It made me feel more connected to the actor. They also made eye-contact with audience members throughout the show which really enhanced the experience. The actors were great at improv-ing. There was audience involvement and whenever you have that, you never know what might happen and the two actor/writers were phenomenal with how they incorporated what had happened right into what they were doing and they made it hilarious. We laughed the whole time! The cozy theater of Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place was a perfect location for Potted Potter as the audience felt like a unit-not a random group of people that we were. Whether you like/know about Harry Potter or not, you will find yourself laughing I read all the books and saw all the films and found it quite enjoyable. If you don' know much about Potter, you not understand some of the jokes, but you will still be laughing. It was a feel good 70-ish minutes that will leave you wanting more! What a great way to destress and have fun.. Thank you to the fabulous actors!

by Mdogwein on 1/5/16Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - Chicago

This paradoy was very funny. It had all my kids laughing, even the ones who knew little about Harry Potter. The cast was very engaging. The entire event was family friendly with a section that included audience involvement. I would recommend this show to anyone looking for a fun hour of entertainment.

    Huge Potter fan LOVED IT!

by Misslizabee on 1/4/16Water Tower - Chicago

A friend and I went to see this because we are both huge fans of Harry Potter. If you aren't looking for something serious and something where you will laugh almost the whole show, this is the show for you. Both actors are fantastic and funny! I would go a second time!
