  • A blast from my past

by Thinkher on 2/23/25Bloomington Center for the Performing Arts - BloomingtonRating: 5 out of 5

To anyone who remembers the Capitol Steps or Mark Russell, this one is for you. Their skewers are fair and clever. The lyrics are clear and well sung. And how had I forgotten Lirty Dies? The theater, though beautiful, was cold (and it was below zero outside so maybe that was part of the issue.)

  • Always Fantastic!

by Tess on 2/9/25Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

Capitol Fools never disappoints, and this year's show was one of the best we've seen in our many years of being fans.

  • Laugh, Laugh and Laugh Some More

by Steve B on 2/5/25Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

Witty, snappy writing and many laugh out loud moments no matter how you lean on the political spectrum. The first letter word flipping skit is phenomenal.

  • Perfect Humor That Is Needed For Today In America!

by Kenny on 2/5/25Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

The three of us really loved the show and the fantastic "adaptability "of the performers to portray so many different "real"people. The script really helps us to laugh in spite of the reality we are living in right now.

  • Funny, but there have been better performances

by Irma on 2/5/25Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 4 out of 5

The second half of the performance was close to the usual degree of creativity and level of humor. The first half kept me wondering when the funny part was coming! Most of the performances I've seen over 2 decades were hilarious and I started to see this show twice per year. This performance just felt lacking.

The Capital Fools were very funny throughout the show. The two hours passed very quickly. Kudos to the entire cast.

  • Capitol Foolsalways count on them for political comedy!

by Deb on 2/5/25Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

Capitol Fools is an amazing and talented group of writers and performers that spin today's political climate into great lyrics! Enjoyed their show and look forward to seeing them again!

  • Been before and will definitely go again!

by Laurie on 2/5/25Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

Two hours of non-stop laughter. Each member of the cast is a talented singer and a great standup comedian. Script is very up to date, covering Washington, DC antics from just a few days ago. Pianist/musical director is outstanding.

  • Always Delivers!

by Sweets on 2/5/25Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve attended many performances by first The Capitol Steps and now, The Capitol Fools. The group is always great and so current! During these tough political times, they deliver with tons of humor and provide much needed laughs!

  • Hilarious take on current events

by Rich on 2/5/25Center Theatre at North Shore Center for the Performing Arts - SkokieRating: 5 out of 5

As always, the Capital Fools were awesomely funny and entertaining. The humor well reflected the current political climate. Each skit was put to music so well and the impersonations of specific politicians were right on. My wife and I can't wait to see them perform again.
