It has been more than ten years since Celtic Woman first captured America's imagination with its self-titled first public television special. That historic concert performance launched a genuine cultural phenomenon, introducing millions of new fans to the group's fresh fusion of traditional Irish music, contemporary studio craft and state-of-the-art stage production.
Since then, Celtic Woman's evocative, uplifting music has touched the hearts of a devoted audience that spans the globe. In addition releasing CDs and DVDs that have become multi-platinum best-sellers, the group has continued to perform in front of capacity crowds on a series of sold-out concert tours.
Having been named Billboard magazine's World Albums Artist of the Year six times, Celtic Woman is a one-of-a-kind musical entity that showcases four gifted young Irish women: three world-class vocalists and a brilliant Celtic violinist, whose talent and charisma help to bring centuries of musical and cultural tradition to vibrant life in the group's recordings and concert performances.
Everything was amazing, the music the gals, amazing show, nothing but the best.
This was a show to remember! The members of Celtic Woman are each very talented. The wonder of that talent -- both individually and collectively -- shows through in every song. I had never seen them perform live before but I'm glad that I took the opportunity to do so.
My mother and I really enjoyed the show and really good seats too can’t wait to see Celtic Woman again.
This was a great performance. So much talent. Unfortunately, the seating accommodations were far from stellar and detracted from the overall experience. The seats were apparently designed for young people. They were so terribly narrow. Show would have been much more enjoyable had the seats been wider.
I couldn’t hear the lyrics. I don’t think instrumentals were mixed correctly with vocals. This was my third Celtic Woman concert, clearly hearing lyrics had not been a problem with previous 2 performances. Also there were fewer performers, 2 less singers, no harpist, or chorus. The three male dancers were excellent. Violinist was great; Mairead would be a hard act to follow.
Great singing and Irish dancing. Tara, the violinist is remarkable. She is certainly a large part of the overall experience!
Got moved from our seats because we didn’t look handicapped Show was good more bagpipes would be better And felt wrong sitting during taps being played.
The singers of Celtic Woman have other-worldly voices! Hearing them sing is like listening to angels! The Celtic/Irish sounds of the accompanying band are at times earthy, vibrant, and joyous, and introspective with longing at other times. Lots of emotions in this show. It left me fully satisfied.
Great concert, great music, beautiful ladies! But only 2 hours including a 20 minute intermission seemed a little short on value!
Every bit of it was sensational. Songs are beautiful in telling a story. The musicians are wonderful and exciting. Dancers were captivating. All the singers and violinists were extraordinarily talented and such a dream as a dream would be.
