It has been more than ten years since Celtic Woman first captured America's imagination with its self-titled first public television special. It was a long day after working at the hospital, and going to the show was just what i needed to go home for a relaxing night. The ladies were amazing and most definite i would see them again when they are in town. I truly loved and enjoyed every bit of the evening. Thx for the relaxing evening.
I took my mother to see Celtic Woman for an early Christmas present and we had a wonderful time. The show was fantastic, the singing , choreography and musicians were all first rate and the violinist was was amazing. Its a show everyone should see because there are no words to describe fully how beautifully put together it was. The Long Beach convention center also did a terrific job with the sound , lighting and special effects.
The musical performance was spectacular despite the fact that out of the original group only Chloe and Lisa remained and that many musical numbers were skewed to placate american ego, with popular songs rehashed and re-arranged to fit the style of the group. I'd rather prefer they kept to the old format and Irish/English songs instead of the RB/Pop songs. However, the performance of all songs was exceptionally done, so no griping there. The venue left a lot to be desired as far as organizational skills.. Concert was supposed to start at 7:30pm, but the organizers had barely started opening up the pit and putting chairs there.. so the actual performance did not start until 8pm. Overall, it was still a good show, with Mayread being the obvious star attraction and providing a lot of entertainment value. Getting 2 hrs of really good quality music is definitely worth going to see the group!
The music was awesome, the accompaniment was incredible and the singing was simply amazing. The violinist was so full life and energy that you can almost feel the music come to life. I would highly recommend seeing this to anyone with a love for music. The color and variety of music was simple yet beautiful. When the women sang they sounded like angels.
This is one of the best concerts I have seen. Great venue, highly recommended.
The whole experience was just amazeing. Well worth it!!! Best show on the planet!! Everyone must see it. Can't say enough about what a wonderful show it was.

I took my 18-year old son with me and we were both in shock at how all of the singers could have such angelic, other-worldly voices. Never have we heard such voices. And they peformed a long time -- well worth the money and then some. The violinist/fiddle player was astounding. Everyone had such energy. The drummers, the back-up singers, it was the best concert I have been to and we will definitely go again!
This group has been a favorite of mine for 2-3 years on TV, and I've been looking for an opportunity to see them in person. They did not disappoint! The mixture of traditional Irish, modern Irish and universal romantic music was perfect, and as always, the vivacious little violinist (can't remember her name) was a show by herself! Others with me disliked what they termed "overproduction" - the flashing lights, heavy bass etc. but I enjoyed it all.
Everything was just perfect. Excellent music and arrangement. Perfect voice, like angels. Class A theater. Wonderful set design and outfits. All together, it was an amazing show.
This is a beautifully done, well choregraphed show. All the women have gorgeous voices. We remarked afterward that it's too bad that these women don't win all the Grammy's since they have so much talent and the artists who win Grammy's can't hold a candle to these ladies abilities!!!
Celtic woman was absolutely amazing, it's vibrancy was enthralling; the girls are fabulous singers, their voices blend together beautifully. They capture your attention with their enthusiasm and joy expressed in every movement. What else can you say about the violinist but superb in every dimension. The drums etc were out of this world. It was just one big night of toal absorbtion into a group who give there all to their audience. Come bacl soon.
Celtic Woman's performance was shimmering perfection. Their voices were angelic, the musicians exceptionally skilled and creative, and the set was entrancing. They engaged the audience and made us to feel welcome and honored. Previously, I had watched only their PBS television specials when convenient, but I will now attend live performances whenever they're in my area. A most exceptional evening!
From the very first notes to the last crescendo this was a concert to always remember. The pure sounds of those Irish voices were a delight to the ears and the beautiful music from the violin, the piano, the multitude of drums and the other instruments were sheer joy to listen to. The drummers put on quite a show. My only regret was that we did not bring our children (ages 15 & 16) to this event. I am sure they would have loved it. Having seen Celtic Woman on PBS we knew we were in for a fantastic concert and we were right.! Will definitely watch for tour dates and places and visit Celtic Woman again, but this time with the entire family in tow as well as a few friends!
This was the fourth Celtic Woman show for my wife and I. We thoroughly enjoy listening to and watching the ladies perform. My wife expecially enjoys Mairead. However, we are both dedicated fans to all of the ladies. The ladies display such a great amount of energy and enthusiasm that it literally draws the audience to them. To quote David Downes: "In the midst of a sometimes turbulent and troubled world, we can find a hope, a truth, an irrepressible joyousness in music and song and dance." Thank you David, Alex, Chloe, Lisa, Lynn, and Mairead for bringing a special joy into our lives. My wife and I hope to see you again soon somewhere in southern California. Actually, we'll travel to New England if you are there on your next tour and invite more of our family to your show(s) in that area. Love you!
The Pasadena Civic Auditorium was easy to navigate to and from. Parking was reasonable and plentiful. The facility was beautiful and sound system was top notch. The show was absolutely amazing. Alex, Chloe, Lisa and Lynn and Alex, Chloe, Lisa, Lynn have absolutely beautiful voices and harmonize like no others. Alex, Chloe, Lisa, Lynn and Mairead stold the show with her violin playing. I will continue to see them whenever they come to So. Calif.
Excellent music, very dynamic a great experience! This was an uplifting and great performance and I highly recommend it.
The venue was small but it really didn't matter. The performance was great. Loved the violinist, the singers and the musicians. Much better than seeing Celtic Women on the PBS channel at fundraiser time - much more powerful.
Amazing about sums it up: Geat voices, beautiful women, great music - an excellent evening with my wife!
