Sarah McLachlan is one of most distinctive female vocalists after breaking out in the ’90s behind singles such as “Building a Mystery” and “I Will Remember You.” With 1994’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy, McLachlan became a star. The album peaked at number 50 on the Billboard 200 chart and number five on the Canada Top Albums/CDs chart. As of 2023, Fumbling Towards Ecstasy has been certified platinum three times in the United States. McLachlan released her debut album Touch in 1988. Her 1997 effort Surfacing debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and hosted her three highest-charting Hot 100 singles: “Building a Mystery,” at No. 13, “Adia” at No. 3 and “Angel” at No. 4. The album went on to win two Grammy Awards. Surfacing coincided with the first Lilith Fair, the wildly successful all-female touring festival co-founded and hosted by McLachlan that took place from 1997 through 1999. In 2003, Afterglow marked McLachlan’s third consecutive Top 10 album, and she maintained that streak with studio albums released through 2014’s Shine On. McLachlan has won 12 JUNO Awards and in 2017 was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

Sarah was amazing in the latest show I saw at Humphreys. I have seen her a few times before but never stripped down like this show with just her and a great Cellist, singer and guitar player accompanying. If you have a chance to see her and you love her type of music, you will be moved by her passion for the music and her craft. Bravo!
Sarah was great! We really enjoyed her and the concert. There was one downside in that our seats were in section F and very close to the refreshments stands. Unfortunately there was constant noise from people talking and the busy refreshment area. The noise was a regular distraction from an excellent performance by Sarah M.
Sarah is always great. I've seen her 5 times over twenty years and she's always present and personal and professional. Her voice is as good as ever and her heart and soul come through her voice.
To see Sarah has been a bucket list thing for me since I was in my 20’s. I was SO thrilled to find tickets near me in San Diego and at Humphreys By The Bay of all places. It felt so quaint, like a private concert. Hee voice is Ethereal and magnificent. I may or may not have cried a bit. She was so funny too, loved the back stories to the songs. The entire experience was everything.

Every song performed by Sarah sounded angelic, melodic and out of this world. Her voice blends sounds never performed by any other artist. The piano and guitar sounds only adds to her velvety voice. Excellent performer!!

Hands down one of the best nights of my life, this concert was like reliving my teenage years all over again. Sarah’s voice vibrated the stadium as we all sang, laughed, and cried. She was vulnerable, honest and so generous with sharing. I will never forget this very special night
Sarah was outstanding… brought out most of her big hits and a few wonderful surprises. Her voice was great and she moved effortlessly from acoustic to piano to electric guitar. She seems like she’s in a great place in her life, was happy and chatty and really seemed like she was enjoying the night. Band was also outstanding. Sound and acoustics at Bug Stage are the best in the city without a doubt. On the downside … Bud Stage REALLY needs to bring in another entrance/exit, it’s getting tiresome taking so long to get in and out. Oh the alcohol prices are beyond ridiculous, absolute gouging.
I don’t know how it’s possible but Sarah gets better and better with age. Every song was brilliantly performed.

I’ve been a fan of Sarah Mclachlan for more than 25 years and it is the first time I see her in concert. Not only she sounds good, exactly like her albums, but she’s so warm and sweet: she radiates with the power of many suns. It was a truly magical night and I can’t wait to see her live again

Just her on piano and guitar with single accompaniment on guitar or cello and harmony ... really lets her music and voice shine through with such simple arrangements. Great night out!
