Sarah McLachlan became one of most distinctive female vocalists after breaking out in the ’90s behind singles such as “Building a Mystery” and “I Will Remember You.” The Halifax, Nova Scotia native released her debut album Touch in 1988 and logged her first Hot 100-charting singles with 1994’s Fumbling Towards Ecstasy. Her 1997 effort Surfacing debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and hosted her three highest-charting Hot 100 singles: “Building a Mystery,” at No. 13, “Adia” at No. 3 and “Angel” at No. 4. The album went on to win two Grammy Awards. Surfacing also coincided with the first Lilith Fair, the wildly successful all-female touring festival co-founded and hosted by McLachlan that took place from 1997 through 1999 and became the top-grossing music festival of the late-’90s. 2003’s Afterglow marked McLachlan’s third consecutive Top 10 album, and she maintained that streak with studio albums released through 2014’s Shine On. McLachlan has won 12 JUNO Awards and in 2017 was inducted into The Canadian Music Hall of Fame.

I've been waiting to see Sarah since I was 17-years-old. Her music inspired me to become a musician and play guitar. The show was fabulous, Sarah opened for herself and for the next two hours sang all my favorites. Building A Mystery, Wait, Aidia, Angel, I Will Remember YOu, Sweet Surrender, One in a Long Line, Gravity, Better Broken, Fear etc ... Her angelic voice, warmth and personality are unmatched. This is by far the best concert I've ever been to. Sarah never fails to disappoint.
Sarah is exquisite, what a show! The musicians were great, and the sound was amazing except for one thing. Melissa needs to be higher in the mix so the harmony blends come through in the most powerful way. Paula Cole was such a treat, but wanted more of her in the mix, too. Memories of Lilith, that incredible moment in time. Fumbling Towards Ecstasy is a masterpiece, Sarah’s vocal power is touched with magic and her piano playing is stunning. This show was treasure!
We love her.... her voice is like an angel and her musical talents went far beyond one's imagination
Experiencing a Sarah McLachlan concert in Boston's gorgeous Orpheum Theatre was breath-taking! Sarah is a stunning talent who I've admired for decades. She is a poet extraordinaire, and her voice is an instrument that can only be credited to the angels. It was a wonderful gift to have Paula Cole join her on stage, too! These amazing women inspire me greatly as we navigate the chapter of living where we rightfully claim our feminine sage wisdom.
Sarah was absolutely dazzling- her performance was gorgeous, intimate and breathtaking.
Oh WOW—Sarah McLachlan was pure magic. The Beacon felt like a beautiful, glowing sanctuary, the perfect place for a voice as timeless as hers. From our seats, we could see every expression, every emotion, as if we were inches away. After 38 years, her voice still floats through the room like something sacred—soft, powerful, and completely mesmerizing. She shared stories with us as though we were gathered in her living room, wrapped in memories and music, carried back to the years when her songs first held our hearts. Every note was perfection. I left feeling refreshed, revived, and filled with a spark I didn’t even know I needed.
With a voice as strong as ever, Sarah McLachlan masterfully blended her earlier hits with songs from her latest album. Her connection with the audience and her personal stories made the evening even more special. Her backup singer ( who was fabulous) and her band were in total sync. For me, the best moments were when it was only her at the piano. Very personal, very moving, and very beautiful.
I've seen Sarah with my wife many times and enjoyed the concert immensely. Her mix of new music from her new "Better Broken"album (which is great) and her memorable standards was seamless. She didn't have an opening act, but none was needed she and her band performed for over 2 hours plus an encore. Venue was also great, the convenient (though expensive) parking and multitude of pre-concert restaurants was helpful. Can't wait for her next tour and still wishing another Lilith Fair focusing on countering our politicians' (and Florida's) disrespect for female self-determination is desperately needed (will buy tickets in advance for wife, daughter, nieces and all their partners).
She was perfect, her voice , her appearance and she interacted well with the audience.
Sarah was beyond amazing. Her voice was as great as 30 years ago. She looked stunning and the show was PERFECTION!!!!!
Sarah’s voice was exactly as it was 30 yrs ago…glorious and unique. She is so real and relatable. Can’t wait to see her again.
The show was fantastic...sound was good. The venue was really nice although being searched twice before entry was off-putting.
Hi all I been a fan of Sarah McLachlan since early 90's she keeps getting better as the years go by her Music touches me love her amazing voice how she sing and how she writes her music great show can't wait to see her in her new projects and tour again keep shining Sarah
An uh-mazing show. Sarah’s voice is better than ever and the venue (the Anthem on the Wharf in D.C.) was perfect for this experience. She talked to the crowd between every song and it felt like talking with a friend, not rehearsed or scripted. Great mix of hits and songs from her new album. If for some reason you’re on the fence about seeing her live, just GO. You’ll be glad you did! ❤️
Sarah put on an outstanding show. Her voice is phenomenal. Her band is beyond talented and together they are pure magic.
No matter if you are an old or new fan of Sarah McLaughlin this show was amazing. Her voice has the same ethereal beautiful quality as she did in the 90’s. Her band was amazing and I love The Anthem. Highly recommend!
Her voice is amazing and we enjoyed her new music as well as the old favorites!
One of the best concerts I've seen. Seated show at The Anthem. Great sound, friendly staff, AMAZING musical artists. What a gift!
Sarah only gets better with time! Entire night was amazing including Tiny Habits ( opener ). And Massey Hall is the greatest too! I can’t wait to see her next tour.
