Erykah Badu, one of the world’s most revered singers, is widely credited as being the godmother of neo-soul. Badu’s blend of hip-hop swagger and smooth jazz draws inspiration from Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and Chaka Khan, and has earned her a total of four Grammy nominations. Pitchfork described the four-time Grammy Award-winning artist’s 1997 debut album Baduizm as an “existential anchor of the neo-soul movement.” The triple-platinum album debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, and lead single “On & On” won the Grammy for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance at the 1998 Grammy Awards. Badu’s enduring legacy was cemented on the road, where she has sung to sold-out crowds on multiple worldwide tours. The R&B legend has released five critically-acclaimed studio albums, and has been featured on hit songs by Busta Rhymes, Macy Gray and Janelle Monáe.

1st, I invited friends and they all said absolutely no because they've waited too long for her in previous times. I thought to myself, American Airline cent is not playing that, it rang true. She was on time and I think that threw her off. More band and lights than anything, she gave minimal. Guess it's either wait or be disappointed. Wouldn't support again, just enjoy on YouTube and save your money!!
Erykah Badu ALWAYS has a great show!! Her energy & vibe ALWAYS put you in a great mood. You never want the show to end. I've seen her perform at the Essence Festival in New Orleans a couple of times & once even doing a set with Jill Scott & The Roots. It was nothing but greatness!! I drove over 3 hours to see her this time & I can't wait to see her again. ALWAYS A FAN!!!!
I am so happy I had the opportunity to enjoy such an amazing experience with Erykah Badu. She is phenomenal and unique!! This was the absolute best. She put on for the soul lovers.
literally one of THE BEST experiences (wasn’t just a concert) i’ve ever had. On a spiritual level, her show was everything I knew and needed it to be. 1000/10 🫶🏽
She gave amazing vocals and personality throughout the entire show. Her visuals, band, and background vocals are amazing. She is def worth seeing live.
An amazing experience; the energy was so light and uplifting! A must experience!!
I’ve seen Erykah too many time to count. I really enjoyed that she played songs deeper in her catalogue. She doesn’t have any bad songs but had a setlist that was the same for awhile
GOOD TIME GREAT MUSIC ALWAYS FUN….TO KNOW HER IS TO UNDERSTAND HER MUSIC… LOVE AND RESPECT
I love Erykah Badu and I am so glad I got the chance to experience her craft!! The entire show was nothing short of AMAZING!! Mos Def was awesome as well!! Money well spent!! My only complaint is the seats!! I sat in the first row of the 100 level and could NOT move my legs!! American Airlines Center please do better and STOP packing seats for money!! We pay good money to see these artists and would like to be comfortable!!
I loved seeing Erykah Badu, at the AAC in Dallas, TX, on July 23th. I love her creativity, and spontaneity. She is very talented. I am watching reels from her UnfollowMeTour on Instagram, and TikTok. I wished that I had purchased better seats to see her up close and personal. Nevertheless, we throughly enjoyed ourselves and will see her again.
Was the most beautiful spiritual inspirational experience seeing her , my very first concert as an adult and I absolutely love and appreciate and enjoyed her she put on a fantastic performance
I was surprised the opening act was actually Mos Def and he had changed his name. His set was good but went ran long. Ms. Badu was late but she may have been up the street at her Momma's house. Her voice and energy and humor and interaction with the crowd was stellar. I enjoyed her concert so much and am still singing Tyrone a few days later.
I always wanted to go to Erykah Badu concert the opening was really bad and to have to wait on her to come out and perform 2 hours and 15 minutes later was just unacceptable…. Then do your best to songs towards the end all I can say is wow and you was in your hometown i just knew she would bring it…. What a experience
Entirely Self-Made Woman of Color from South Dallas - Ms Badu is a force of Nature - who has been unapologetically & authentically herself since the jump. A Blazing Comet. An Artist with a capital A. Mesmerizing. Inspiring. Brilliant. “I can’t give you all of my MAGIK but I can introduce you to YOURS”. EBadu
The concert and performances were GREAT!!!! but those AA chairs/seats are too small for an average size person….suggestion to remove seat dividers PLEASE!
My first Erykah Badu concert and it was AWESOME!! I will be going to her birthday bash concert.
Erykah was amazing!! Enjoyed every moment event was timely and easy to navigate
Full lineup was amazing! Erykah never disappoints. I have seen her perform a few times but still was amazed by her performance.
This concert took me back to the same feeling she gave me at the Bronco Bowl!! She is the greatest
