About

PAUL RODGERS IN CONCERT:

Legendary British rocker Paul Rodgers has one of the most impressive voices in rock music. From his time fronting bands like Free and Bad Company to his recent stint singing with Queen, Rodgers has remained a legend for his tough-as-nails voice and colorful showmanship. On tour in 2013, he made it clear that time has done nothing to mellow his vocal prowess, flooring fans with classic hits from his catalog alongside soul covers that showcased his prodigious range. With a new album due out in 2014, Rodgers is in peak form for his upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Middlesborough, UK, Paul Rodgers found early fame as frontman of British blues rock band Free, the outfit behind 1970 classic rock staple and international No. 1 "All Right Now." While the band's commercial success at one point rivaled that of Led Zeppelin, their star waned, and in 1973 Rodgers founded supergroup Bad Company with members of Mott the Hoople and King Crimson. With Rodgers at the helm, Bad Company enjoyed tremendous success throughout the '70s and early '80s, releasing six platinum albums and racking up some of the most beloved classic rock hits of the era. Following his departure from the band in 1982, Rodgers has continued to record and perform as a solo artist, as well as embark on a five-year collaboration with Queen from 2004-2009.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Paul Rodgers was simply fantastic. Entire band rocked! I never sat down during entire concert. The guy sounds better now than he did 30 years ago."

"His voice was amazing. Like time traveling Bad Company and Free heydays. I would see him again definitely."

"As usual Paul Rogers put on a smokin' show. He really plays for the crowd and you can tell he enjoys it. The voice is as good as ever covering all the hits from his past bands."

    Paul Rodgers ~ The Voice!

by TheFanimal on 10/13/15Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

Paul Rodgers remains a flawless, timeless singer. At 65 he still crushes it. He is defying the laws of time! I would absolutely love to see him in a stripped down, acoustic only show to enjoy this ageless wonder even more!

    Paul Rodgers = Rock Star

by chuckinator2000 on 9/16/15Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic City

Paul Rodgers is one of the best singers in the history of Rock. It is unfortunate that he and Bad Company have not been elected into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Given his all time classic hits from Free such as All Right Now, Fire and Water, The Stealer; Bad Company songs/anthems such as Can't Get Enough of Your Love, Ready for Love, Feel Like Makin' Love, Running with the Pack, Seagull, Rock n Roll Fantasy etc. etc. it seems almost impossible that he/they have been overlooked. This seems especially unfair since they are still a great live act. Paul Rodgers voice, physique and energy are way too good for someone his age. This show was proof of that. Great seats, great show, wonderful summer night that I will always remember!

    Take Me Back

by jimjcarl on 9/15/15Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

I am admittedly a Steppenwolf fan--have been for years; however, as terrific as their set was, I was ecstatic when I found that Paul Rodgers was lead singer for Bad Company, and they are even more a FAVORITE BAND of mine. I was with my sister and we could not sit still through even one song. They were all favorites, and of course absolutely timeless--possibly even better now than they were when they were aired. It was a wonderful treat to be listening to one of the best live music performances to which I've ever been, and I'm grateful to have been part of it. It was a highlight of my life.

    Paul Rodgers and Steppenwolf rocked!

by chuckmac19 on 9/14/15Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Although you can tell the Steppenwolf crew are definitely older now, they still put on a great show and it was great hearing those songs I knew back in the 60's. Paul Rodgers sounded as good as he did with Free and Bad Company! He was awesome!

    Paul Rodgers was amazing

by Anonymous on 9/14/15Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Paul Rodgers put on a great show! His voice was strong & clear, just like when we saw him in the past. I love that he didn't spend much too much time talking between songs, so he could play all my favorite songs, including an encore! I liked that he shared the stage with his band & they were all high energy musicians! A few times they asked the audience to sing along

    Good, Fun concert!

by debbieotv on 9/14/15Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Growing up in the 60's, it was great to see John Kay & Steppenwolf. John Kay still has a great voice, and the videos with the live music combined was very cool! Paul Rodgers still has one of the most powerful voices of all times! We are new to the area, and this was our first time to Thunder Valley Casino for a concert, but will not be our last. We will be there next weekend! Thank you for such a good and fun concert to be a part of!

Paul Rodgers Rocks it out of the house!!!

by Dmitchell on 9/14/15Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

If you're a Bad Co or Paul Rodgers fan DO NOT miss seeing this guy live as he's a true, legendary rocker that still performs as well as he did 30 plus years ago. I've seen a ton of concerts since the late 70's and Paul Rodgers is now at the top as one of the best. I hope I can see him again next year!

solid show by 2 veteran performers

by maxthesax on 9/14/15Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

John Kaye and Paul Rogers both were in fine voice in spite of the smokey conditions from the Butte fire. Both back up bands were solid - although I felt that at times Roger's group got a bit too loud making it difficult to hear Rogers, which was one of the reasons I came to the show in the first place. I was also a bit disappointed that Rogers didn't delve into the Free playbook a bit more, relying instead on mostly Bad Co tunes (who I saw at this same venue last year). the venue is stellar - good mix and nice big screens on either side of the stage for those sitting in the bleachers.

    Fabulous

by Sierranugget on 9/14/15Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Paul Rodgers rocked. He was as good as ever. Loved every song he sang. Even though the venue wasn't sold out, which could be disappointing to the artist, he delivered his songs like he was singing in front of the Queen. I highly recommend seeing this show, you won't be disappointed!

    Great Sound

by Thrasymachus on 9/14/15Thunder Valley Casino Resort - Lincoln

Paul Rodgers was in fine form as always, but the sound mix was remarkable. There were only three instruments + vocals. The balance and volume were perfect. Paul creates sing-a-long moments which is good, because he riffs most of the verses.

    Paul Rodgers AC

by HCasillo on 9/10/15Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic City

Rodgers looks great and his voice was amazing. He interacts with crowd and band was really good. My only reasons for not giving it 5 stars I would have like more Free and blues songs, did mostly Bad Co., which I'm not complaining about. 2nd point relates to above, he has enough material to pull from to play for 3 hours. Concert lasted including encore, under 1:30, was disappointed in that.
