PAUL RODGERS IN CONCERT:

Legendary British rocker Paul Rodgers has one of the most impressive voices in rock music. From his time fronting bands like Free and Bad Company to his recent stint singing with Queen, Rodgers has remained a legend for his tough-as-nails voice and colorful showmanship. On tour in 2013, he made it clear that time has done nothing to mellow his vocal prowess, flooring fans with classic hits from his catalog alongside soul covers that showcased his prodigious range. With a new album due out in 2014, Rodgers is in peak form for his upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Middlesborough, UK, Paul Rodgers found early fame as frontman of British blues rock band Free, the outfit behind 1970 classic rock staple and international No. 1 "All Right Now." While the band's commercial success at one point rivaled that of Led Zeppelin, their star waned, and in 1973 Rodgers founded supergroup Bad Company with members of Mott the Hoople and King Crimson. With Rodgers at the helm, Bad Company enjoyed tremendous success throughout the '70s and early '80s, releasing six platinum albums and racking up some of the most beloved classic rock hits of the era. Following his departure from the band in 1982, Rodgers has continued to record and perform as a solo artist, as well as embark on a five-year collaboration with Queen from 2004-2009.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Paul Rodgers was simply fantastic. Entire band rocked! I never sat down during entire concert. The guy sounds better now than he did 30 years ago."

"His voice was amazing. Like time traveling Bad Company and Free heydays. I would see him again definitely."

"As usual Paul Rogers put on a smokin' show. He really plays for the crowd and you can tell he enjoys it. The voice is as good as ever covering all the hits from his past bands."

    Paul was awesome, crowd... eh

    by DMarx on 4/6/16Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

I always think about how a performer must feel when they're rocking their hardest and the crowd remains seated like they were watching a symphony or a Blu-Ray from their well-worn couch. In this case, Paul, who is as old or older that most who attended this concert didn't break out a stool once. He rocked like he always has. If you were part of the crowd that didn't give Paul the support he deserved from a real rock fan, you should be feeling the shame and owe him apology. You also may think twice twice about sitting near the stage and leave those seats for the living.

    Good Company

    by 1al2 on 4/4/16Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

This was the second time we saw Paul Rogers at Potowatomi and both shows were great. He plays the small room very well and everyone has a great seat, a great view and a great time. The band is very talented and has fun with the audiance. I would really like to see Paul Rogers come to Summerfest. There are many fans who love his music but may not know he is the voice behind sooo many great tunes. I can't sing worth a dam but if I could I would want to sound like Paul Rogers!

    by Stiffy1 on 4/4/16Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

Great show. A lot of songs were played in the 1 Hour 40 Min set. Not a lot of downtime in between songs. Paul's voice was great and he had some very good musicians in the Band.

Paul Rodgers & bank really rocked!

    by hobbyguitarist1 on 4/4/16Potawatomi Hotel & Casino/Northern Lights Theater/Event Center - Milwaukee

From his singing | song writing days with 'Free' back in 1970, continuing that craft as a founding member of 'Bad Company', to his current solo work and recent CD, Paul Rodgers has had an iconic 45 year career (not a 1 year career of hits played over the course of 45 years). His voice | songs are the soundtrack of the 'baby boom' generation. Howard Leese on lead guitar (founding member of the rock hall of fame group, 'Heart') was stunning, and like fine wine, only gets better with age. The bass player and drummer were also amazing! Real pro's.

Paul Rodgers - good old-fashioned rock & roll!

by Sly1234567 on 10/13/15Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

It has been awhile since I've attended a straight-forward rock concert. I was not sure they even existed anymore. But, Rodgers and his band delivered all his hits from Free, Bad Company and The Firm with in your face rock & roll energy. By the end, everyone was up dancing and singing. It was a lot of fun and what else can you ask for?!

Paul Rodgers - The Perfect Voice

by DeskPub on 10/13/15Modell Performing Arts Center at the Lyric - Baltimore

Amazing concert at an amazing venue. Paul Rodgers was perfection (his voice is unparalleled), with great musicians, and a great light show. They interacted with the audience and sang a large portion of his songs from BadCo, Free, The Firm. We can't say it enough - it was amazing.

I thought the concert was great. I have seen Paul Rodgers several times, with Bad Company and his solo band. He still sounds great. I will go see him anytime he is in the area. Had a great time.
