PAUL RODGERS IN CONCERT:

Legendary British rocker Paul Rodgers has one of the most impressive voices in rock music. From his time fronting bands like Free and Bad Company to his recent stint singing with Queen, Rodgers has remained a legend for his tough-as-nails voice and colorful showmanship. On tour in 2013, he made it clear that time has done nothing to mellow his vocal prowess, flooring fans with classic hits from his catalog alongside soul covers that showcased his prodigious range. With a new album due out in 2014, Rodgers is in peak form for his upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Middlesborough, UK, Paul Rodgers found early fame as frontman of British blues rock band Free, the outfit behind 1970 classic rock staple and international No. 1 "All Right Now." While the band's commercial success at one point rivaled that of Led Zeppelin, their star waned, and in 1973 Rodgers founded supergroup Bad Company with members of Mott the Hoople and King Crimson. With Rodgers at the helm, Bad Company enjoyed tremendous success throughout the '70s and early '80s, releasing six platinum albums and racking up some of the most beloved classic rock hits of the era. Following his departure from the band in 1982, Rodgers has continued to record and perform as a solo artist, as well as embark on a five-year collaboration with Queen from 2004-2009.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Paul Rodgers was simply fantastic. Entire band rocked! I never sat down during entire concert. The guy sounds better now than he did 30 years ago."

"His voice was amazing. Like time traveling Bad Company and Free heydays. I would see him again definitely."

"As usual Paul Rogers put on a smokin' show. He really plays for the crowd and you can tell he enjoys it. The voice is as good as ever covering all the hits from his past bands."

    Bad ,Bad Company

by Anonymous on 9/8/15Thunder valley - Lincoln

Back in 1996 I won backstage passes at a Bad Company concert in sacramento. This made me A bigger fan then I was before.Seen them again at Arco Arena, had to first suffer thru David Lee Roth! But Paul Rogers was worth it! A couple of years ago my Boyfriend suprised me with up front 3rd row center seatsThese seats were Not cheap! So they show up 45 min late, then keep blowing speakers & amps, never apolagised or even so much as played an extra minute to make up for being so late.Sad to say it was the worst concert ever! my Boyfriend tried to get A refund or some compensation, and hit a brick wall. He will never let me recomend a concert again. P.S Very disapointed fan. P.S.S Paul Rogers if you should read this,I'm the woman that kissed you out back by the limo at Calexbo in1996........................

by guitarking45 on 9/8/15Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic City

I loved the performance that Paul Rodgers does.He is a great performer after years of playing and sounds the same amazing voice that he has.But the shows are very short at the Tropicana show room. The show starts at 8 pm and they end at 9:20 pm.That is a short show for the $300 that i paid to see him.I have one more show in November and i will not be going to the showroom anymore.the shows are short .

Paul Rodgers and band were terrific!

by pap24 on 9/8/15Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic City

The concert was relatively short(90 minutes) but was so high energized with little or no break between the songs. Rodgers sings as well now than he did as a teenager. He had great stage presence too. The older crowd, me included, acted like a bunch of 20 year olds in a good way. The people up front were dancing and shaking hands with Paul throughout. He did three Free songs and could have done more. The band was great including the lead guitarist. Sound on drums and base was a bit too loud but that was a soundboard issue not the musicians who were really good. I would have liked to hear a couple of ballads but Rodgers was catering to the enthusiastic crowd which is understandable. I never got the opportunity to see Free live so hearing Mr Big was terrific.

had second row seats and he and his band awesome. One of the truly great voices in Rock history. The audience sang along and everyone left with a smile. They don't make 'em like him anymore.

    Great show!!

by YankeeJetfan2004 on 9/8/15Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic City

I had seen Bad Company back in the early 70's as a teenager and loved them. Paul Rodgers as a solo artist is fantastic!! He played all the hits from BC, The Firm and Free, he even threw in a old blues song. The Trop is a great place to enjoy a show, had a nice dinner and then the show. Just a great night...

    Good show but too short.

by ACJohn on 9/8/15Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic City

Paul's performance was really good and a lot of great songs were performed. Nevertheless, I went away a disappointed as the show was only an hour and 25 minutes in length, well below the standard 2 hours.

    Sounded great

by TwentyCent on 9/8/15Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic City

Played mostly Bad Co songs which was awesome! Mostly 10 from Six material. Played Radioactive, a Firm treat for the crowd. The crowd was super energetic and completely into the concert. As always, Paul delivered. The show was about 90 minutes which was fine given the mans age, I was ok with just seeing him rock out live for the first time. It was a great time!

Paul Rodgers in New York City

by Tesladays on 6/25/14Town Hall - New York

Paul assembled for one night only all of the musicians who played on his most recent albums, "The Royal Sessions". He and the band were on top form and it was great to see Paul in such an intimate venue. The voice is still there and he really seemed to be enjoying himself. The set was mainly made up of the tracks of the new album but we were treated to Can't Get Enough and Walk in my Shadow from his Bad Co and Free days. Fantastic gig and fantastic vibe all night. I'm sure that he will have offers to do more shows with these fantastic set of musicians.

Paul Rogers, Can I Hear You?

by SkiManVT on 6/22/14Town Hall - New York

I had high hopes for the Paul Rogers concert Thursday night at Town Hall. I knew that Town Hall was an intimate theatre venue, and that this should give a legendary vocalist such as Mr. Rogers a great stage to show his stuff. Who knew that he would allow his accomplished band to drown him out, and that, coupled with sound effects applied to his voice, would make his lyrics and even his spoken words almost inaudible? Even when audience members shouted out their dissatisfaction with the sound quality following the first couple of songs, there was no improvement. My friends and I were seated in the first row of the Loge. This is not a difficult location for a sound engineer and a band to get right. I attend thirty to forty live concerts a year. This was the worst audio I have experienced in many years. Mr. Rogers should be ashamed of his performance, and should refund the money of those in the audience who, like me, were commenting on this after the show. I would also complain that the show only lasted for 75 minutes, far shorter than any rock show I have recently attended, but it was a relief that I was able to exit the theatre so early. The performance and audio quality was that bad. I listened to the new album. I studied up on Mr. Rogers' career. I brought two friends to whom I wanted to introduce this artist. Boy, was I disappointed. I hope it was just a bad night for Paul Rogers. His career will die a slow death if he allows audience members to leave his shows so disappointed.

Paul Rodgers - The Royal Sessions Live

by grizzlyone on 6/22/14Town Hall - New York

This show was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS! It could not have been better. Paul Rodgers' voice is strong and wonderful .... he is totally delightful onstage .... just a perfect, perfect performer. His music was top-notch, and his fellow performers ... musicians .... singers .... were, as well.

I " Can't get Enough of Paul Rodgers"

    by RnRgirlVirginia on 6/8/14Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Once again an amazing show. Paul really mixed it up this time with some new songs, new pants and some smoke!! Missed Lyn and Jeff that use to be in the band, but Howard makes up for that.

    Paul Rogers & Howard

    by n3325q on 6/2/14Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

As usual excellent sound from Paul and Co. in this venue, would definitely go again and girtl friend said the same!! The crowd was "alive" this time, not sure the seattle crowds, often asleep or very quiet, almost to the point of "why are you here"? Maybe the weather being good outside, it Thursday not Sunday, enough coffee - who knows, the crowd showed up and were happy to be there; the band knew it this time and were also charged from it, and this is why they still want to play btw!! Thanks, Paul Co. !!
