PAUL RODGERS IN CONCERT:

Legendary British rocker Paul Rodgers has one of the most impressive voices in rock music. From his time fronting bands like Free and Bad Company to his recent stint singing with Queen, Rodgers has remained a legend for his tough-as-nails voice and colorful showmanship. On tour in 2013, he made it clear that time has done nothing to mellow his vocal prowess, flooring fans with classic hits from his catalog alongside soul covers that showcased his prodigious range. With a new album due out in 2014, Rodgers is in peak form for his upcoming tour dates.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born in Middlesborough, UK, Paul Rodgers found early fame as frontman of British blues rock band Free, the outfit behind 1970 classic rock staple and international No. 1 "All Right Now." While the band's commercial success at one point rivaled that of Led Zeppelin, their star waned, and in 1973 Rodgers founded supergroup Bad Company with members of Mott the Hoople and King Crimson. With Rodgers at the helm, Bad Company enjoyed tremendous success throughout the '70s and early '80s, releasing six platinum albums and racking up some of the most beloved classic rock hits of the era. Following his departure from the band in 1982, Rodgers has continued to record and perform as a solo artist, as well as embark on a five-year collaboration with Queen from 2004-2009.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Paul Rodgers was simply fantastic. Entire band rocked! I never sat down during entire concert. The guy sounds better now than he did 30 years ago."

"His voice was amazing. Like time traveling Bad Company and Free heydays. I would see him again definitely."

"As usual Paul Rogers put on a smokin' show. He really plays for the crowd and you can tell he enjoys it. The voice is as good as ever covering all the hits from his past bands."

Paul Rodgers ( Bad Company, Free )

by Kicken11 on 7/5/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Amazing, Five Stars, Paul Rodgers a living legend. All the Bad Company music with a few extras was just amazing. He was on rolling stones list of top 100 male singers of all time but I would say top 5 easy. His voice is still right there, perfect tone never a crackle. Awesome seats within 100 feet anywhere in the place. The audience was a little older then I thought it would be, But with Paul doing this for so many years I can see why. I hope he keeps on rocking for as long as us old timers can keep up with him. I would say he puts on an unforgettable show that all should see!!!!!

    Really can't get enough

by Soulshaker69 on 7/5/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Paul Rodgers in concert. Of note the opening was quite good. Ernie and The Automatics started of with a blues set that included tunes from the current and Cd right before it. The highlight for me was a 20 + minute tribute to Brad Delp. For those not familiar. The lead guitarist for Ernie and the Automatics is Boston's Barry Goudreau. So as you can imagine the Boston sound was in full force throughout this great medley. This was very well recieved by the audience. Paul Rodgers - what can I say even after 4 decades of rockin...there is no quit in this man. Vocally he sounded in great form, taking us through a typical Badco set, then moved into works he did with Jimmy page and The Firm. He though in some Free numbers that got the audience rockin as well, as a tribute to jimi Hendrix which, fo me, owing his great Hendrix Set CD, was excellent to hear performed live. As for the venue, as always The Hampton Beach Casino, did not disappoint. Not only are there no bad seats in the house, but the sound is crystal clear. Great event, I waited a long thime to see Paul Rodgers - well woth the wait!!

    Paul Rodgers always delivers!

by Kisstan on 7/5/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

This is the 2nd time I've seen Paul perform, the first time was with Simon Kirke and that version of Bad Company about 10 years ago. Paul can still sing better than singers half his age. If you've ever loved Bad Company, do yourself a favor and rock the night with Paul Rodgers. You will not be disappointed! A full night of classic hits!

    Paul Rodgers = Rock Steady

by spatacus on 7/5/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Paul Rodgers never disappoints as a live rock singer - musician. Having seen him solo, with Bad Company & Queen, he always seems to genuinely enjoy his trade & this sweaty Hampton Beach show was no exception. Offering up a healthy dose of the best of early Bad Co. & even a touch of Hendrix covers was in tune with the expectations of a crowd longing for the days of pared down, authentic rock & roll on a hot summer night. Paul looks and sounds the same, portraying an agelessness and power, which we all need in a time of constant stress. Thank you again to a master performer / musician. Opener Ernie & the Automatics set the stage with a couple of the former Boston group members in the band ending up with a fantastic medley of Boston hits dedicated to recently-departed member Brad Delp.

Paul Rogers is the voice of classic rock

by Wgator on 7/4/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I saw Paul Rogers perform with Queen 3 years ago it was awsome Last nights show Paul Rogers at Hampton Beach was the best rock concert i have ever seen he put it all out there performing hit after hit and the crowd sang every song. He is the voice of classic rock fronting the band Free ..then Bad Company...The Firm then in 2006 touring with rock legends Queen. His vocals shook the building last night . The wait staff were mostly young girls in their 20's and they knew the words to almost every song singing along as they waited on a very happy rocken pretty much packed crowd at the casino at Hampton beach this is without a doubt one of the best places to see a concert . It was a fantastic way to kick off my vacation

    Paul Rodgers ROCKS!!!

by Oilyoli on 7/4/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I love Paul Rodgers, my mom loves him too...when he comes to Hampton Beach Casino, we go see him. HBC allows non flash cameras and that is great because I was able to take some great photos for memories! We strongly encourage and want Paul Rodgers at HBC more often than he has been in the past, the last time was 2003! Seven years is way too long to go without him!

by Bubbles0502 on 7/4/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Paul Rodgers was FANTASTIC!! His voice is better than ever and he knows how to rock! The band was awesome too! I would definitely see him again or recommend him to a friend. The venue (Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom) was awfully hot though and the seats were not as pictured when I purchased them, but we still had a great time.

Paul Rodgers is the master !

by bigrog421 on 7/4/10Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

This man could sing the alphabet and I'd go see him . I don't think there are many artists who can sing with the soul that Paul does. He can take any material and make it his own. With howard leese on guitar they meld beautifully.
