I saw Blast the first time about 8 yrs ago when they first toured Atlanta. The show is so much fun, thanks to the talented young people who are giving it their all for the audience. The opening number (Bolero) and the closing number (Maleguena) are my favorites.
This show was great. It had a lot more to it than brass and percussion. The talent of the performers was amazing!
We saw Blast 10 years ago & were thrilled to see they were touting again. Loved the show.
this was excellent that we were expected. Not only the stage but also the lobby they performed. I recommend for children also.
I thought the show was absolutely great! But even more interesting, is the fact that my husband, who was never in band or Drum Corps, told all of our neighbors that this was THE best show he's ever seen (and we've seen a lot of drum corps shows, live concerts with super star muscians, and broadway shows). Be sure to see this show if you ever get a chance, no mater what your background!
The show was kind of a cross between Stomp, Battle of the Bands and a Circus. The performers are so talented and the production was flawless. I brought my kids and parents and everyone loved the show. Acoustics were great - I don't think there is a bad seat in the theater but it was nice to sit close to the stage. Hard to believe the show didn't sell out - it was fantastic.
Blast was incredible. I had previously compared it to Stomp, but it may be even better!!!
Show was spectacular. The talent and energy of these young performers can only be seen if you attend the Drum Corp International (DCI) mega events. Just pure entertainment. It is a darn shame the show was not marketed better. A show of this caliber should be sold out every night... like it is in Japan when they tour there. DO NOT MISS - TAKE THE FAMILY!
My hands hurt from clapping all night. My sons are both trumpet players and had shown me YouTube videos of the group. The show exceeded every expectation I had. I particularly enjoyed watching my sons go crazy over the various performances. Finally, the venue was amazing.
I wasn't real sure what to expect and I thoroughly enjoyed the show!! I was surprised that I was laughing through parts of the show. I highly recommend it. The cast is extremely talented!
I somehow had never heard of this before seeing the TV ad. The whole performance was just remarkable. I would have gone more than once if I'd had the chance!

I've seen Blast! about 5 times, and I think this was the best show of them all! They are simply amazing....the sound, the precision, the colors.....all of it contributed to what was an unforgettable show! Hope they come back soon!
What a talented cast! Every performer was involved and part of the show. Great music, Great visuals! Favorite sets were Battery Battle, the Chuck Mangione piece and of course Maleguna! The sound was great, it's all brass and drums for crying out loud!
We thoroughly enjoyed the show. Several times I heard my wife giggling with delight. One member of our party has been a high school band teacher. She also found it highly enjoyable. I was very pleased, since coming was my idea. The one downside was that damned spotlight shining in my eyes (we were in the mezanine).
They have done it again. Bringing Drum Corps inside for a show to top all shows. Sad that it has been 10 years since a performance in Atlanta. Everything from the movement, the music and the comedy blended extremely well. Being a Drum Corps fanatic, this was a great fix for the winter season!!!
I really enjoyed this year's show although it hasn't really changed very much from their last tour..........except for the fact that there is HALF as many performers as before AND they’re miked-up! COME ON GUYS, the POWER demonstrated by the original performers is part of what makes BLAST! GREAT!
Highly recommend this innovative, high energy performance. For all those folks who love music, but are a bit afraid to admit they get bored watching the performers sit and play their instruments. So, think outstanding musicians, playing all sorts of brass and percussion instruments...and then make them dance while they are doing it. Oh yes, and throw in the lights, colored flags and varoius things to throw around. It's an evening you will not find anywhere else. Excellent value and love the innovation and creativity.
My kids are both in marching band and were wowed by this high energy show. I wish we could have brought the whole high school band!
