ZZ WARD IN CONCERT:
Blues-rock queen ZZ Ward is a soulful and sassy newcomer who's quickly making herself known with her robust vocals, intricate guitar playing, and signature fedora. Whether she's nailing a harmonica solo on "Grinnin' In Your Face" or serenading fans on the tear-jerking love ballad "Last Love Song", ZZ Ward puts on a thrilling live performance every time. Hot off the heels of a packed 2014 Coachella set, ZZ Ward will have fans dancing all night long on her thrilling, high-energy tour.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born Zsuzsanna Eva Ward, ZZ Ward got her start performing alongside her musician father at the age of 12. Several years later, she decided to pursue a full-time music career and moved to Los Angeles to begin work on her debut album. After collaborating with Ryan Tedder and Fitz from Fitz and the Tantrums, Ward broke out with her EP Criminal in 2012 and generated major buzz with her infectious, bluesy style. The demo attracted attention from big names like Kendrick Lamar and Freddie Gibbs, who were so enamored by her songs that they joined forces with the new singer and were featured on tracks from her full-length LP Til the Casket Drops. Since then, the budding songstress has toured with guitar legend Eric Clapton, made appearances on a number of popular talk shows, and had her music featured in major films and television series -- all in a few short years. Back on the road, Ward will bring the house down as she treats audiences to a string of fan-favorites on her highly anticipated shows.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"ZZ is an amazing artist. She plays with a ton of energy. We have seen her in Vegas and this time she was even better. Can't wait to see her again."
"ZZ was wonderful and so was her band. I was surprised to see her play guitar, piano and rock out on the harp! The musicianship was top notch and she was really personal with the audience and often had us singing along. Did a really cool cover of Drake's 'Hold On, We’re Going Home' that was really creative. Awesome show!"
"She was really good and her band was really tight. I would recommend seeing her to anyone with ears who likes great music."
Great concert! ZZ was amazing and sang all of her best songs. Would definitely see her again!
I think that ZZ Ward has an incredible voice. However I found her performance very awkward. To me, it didn't seem like she got into performance until halfway through the show. I did not like the fact that doors opened at 6:30 and ZZ Ward didn't go on until about 9:40 especially since opening acts were not compelling to me.
Incredible voice, charismatic performer, and awesome lighting. The two openers The Young Wild and Marc Scibilia were amazing too!
She's extremely talented and her talent shines live!
ZZ Ward is one of the best live shows out there!!!
So glad I got to see ZZ Ward and her awesome band. This girl has some pipes. She looks fantastic and the songs they played were a good mix of the old and new. If you have a chance to see her on this tour I highly suggest you do because the next one will be bigger. I loved the show so much I've gone ahead and purchased tickets to see her in Philadelphia. My favorite song was Put The Gun Down. I'm hoping she plays Last Love Song in Phila. We did upgrade or seats to VIP at the venue so that I had a good seat.
ZZ WARD is a great show, she rocks the house! She is so talented, you have to check her out!
This was the first time I saw ZZ Ward as a headliner. This was only the second or third stop in her current tour. Excellent show. Nice mix of most popular songs, new music & her first singles. Great cover of Nick Jonas' "Chains". ZZ's band is stellar as well. I would definitely recommend this show; lot of bang for the buck as the tickets were only about $30 including fees and we got a good 2+ hours of awesome music in total.
Met and saw ZZ Ward perform in Atlanta and she was absolutely spectacular! Her warmup bands were good too.
If you ever get the chance to see ZZ Ward, do it. You won't regret it. Such an amazing talent. Her voice is incredible. Her band is beyond talented. The show was energetic and fun. We had such a great time!
Exceptional show - high energy and awesome sound. You could tell they really loved what they were doing and enjoyed the crowd.
I took my 2 daughters and my wife to the meet and greet in Houston. ZZ Ward was one of the nicest people I've ever met. Thank you for sharing your time with us. Her voice is incredible, the fact that she came down into the crowd and sang right next to me was so fun. She had the whole crowd going crazy!! Thank u Can't wait to see you again.
Originally I purchased tickets to this show specifically to see the main supporting band the WILD FEATHERS. Regardless of who I'm going to see I always do my research and prepare for every show. This means I listened to the work of JAMES BAY (opener) and ZZ WARD (headliner). I enjoyed ZZ's 2012 release TILL THE CASKET DROPS and as I got closer to the show I became a fan. I loved the rap- blues synthesis as on the track CRIMINAL and I liked her contemporary take on the blues in general. The WILD FEATHERS put on a good show but ZZ WARD showed why she was the headliner. She had full command of the stage and it was obvious that she was a seasoned performer. It was an excellent show! Both ZZ WARD and THE WILD FEATHERS are rising talents that will impact the music world big time going forward!
GREAT SHOW-AMAZING VOICE-HIGH ENERGY-TIGHT BAND-GOT CROWD INVOLVED-LOTS OF DANCING
She's not very tall and skinny as a rail. Don't let that fool you. SHe has a voice that will grab you straight in the gut and leave no doubt you're in for a great show show. Supurb band, all three are pros.
Straight up- This girl is unforgettable. Her performance is unparalleled and considering she didn't have a full house, she still rocked out like no other. She is worth every penny and more. The O My's are the peanut butter to Zz's jelly...or I should say jam, because that's just what they do. My faith in music has been restored ever since I found Zz Ward. Please do yourself a favor and catch her gettin LIVE at her live shows.
Great vocals and energy. Seating was general admission but she wanted everyone on the floor to get a better experience. Good choice, I was jumping and moving all show.
I'm a huge fan of ZZ's...was so excited that she came to Tahoe on her tour! It was general admission seating..we got there early to get good seats but they had a whole floor section of standing room only available. Once the show started we moved to the floor. We were 3-4 people back from the stage. ZZ was AMAZING....great energy....had fun with the crowd and of course her music is AWESOME. I can't wait for her next album!
ZZ is an amazing artist. She plays with a ton of energy. We have seen her in Vegas and this time she was even better. Can't wait to see her again. I do wish at the smaller venue she would have came out and did a meet and greet. Maybe next time.
First she came on at 7:40 and quit at 9:00. That's too short a show in my book!! Next her band of 3 (guitar, bass & drums) seemed to be asleep or checked out. And they NEVER sang. What is up with that?! And the piped-in vocals just ruined it for me. SHE is an amazing singer & performer but needs a MUCH more powerful band and back-up singers!! Come on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
