About

ZZ WARD IN CONCERT:

Blues-rock queen ZZ Ward is a soulful and sassy newcomer who's quickly making herself known with her robust vocals, intricate guitar playing, and signature fedora. Whether she's nailing a harmonica solo on "Grinnin' In Your Face" or serenading fans on the tear-jerking love ballad "Last Love Song", ZZ Ward puts on a thrilling live performance every time. Hot off the heels of a packed 2014 Coachella set, ZZ Ward will have fans dancing all night long on her thrilling, high-energy tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Born Zsuzsanna Eva Ward, ZZ Ward got her start performing alongside her musician father at the age of 12. Several years later, she decided to pursue a full-time music career and moved to Los Angeles to begin work on her debut album. After collaborating with Ryan Tedder and Fitz from Fitz and the Tantrums, Ward broke out with her EP Criminal in 2012 and generated major buzz with her infectious, bluesy style. The demo attracted attention from big names like Kendrick Lamar and Freddie Gibbs, who were so enamored by her songs that they joined forces with the new singer and were featured on tracks from her full-length LP Til the Casket Drops.  Since then, the budding songstress has toured with guitar legend Eric Clapton, made appearances on a number of popular talk shows, and had her music featured in major films and television series -- all in a few short years. Back on the road, Ward will bring the house down as she treats audiences to a string of fan-favorites on her highly anticipated shows.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"ZZ is an amazing artist. She plays with a ton of energy. We have seen her in Vegas and this time she was even better. Can't wait to see her again."

"ZZ was wonderful and so was her band. I was surprised to see her play guitar, piano and rock out on the harp! The musicianship was top notch and she was really personal with the audience and often had us singing along. Did a really cool cover of Drake's 'Hold On, We’re Going Home' that was really creative. Awesome show!"

"She was really good and her band was really tight. I would recommend seeing her to anyone with ears who likes great music."

  • AMAZING!

    by Robert P on 10/2/25Rating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Ward is one of the most well rounded musicians working today! Her stage presence, energy, voice and attitude all collide to give the most heart reaching and soul lifting musical experiences. We go to multiple music festivals and countless concerts a year and I still search out ZZ live appearances, On my phone I have a "if stranded on a deserted Island"list of music; Elvis, Dean Martin, Motley Crew, Billy Joel and ZZ Ward! She is that damn good!

  • My favorite artist!

    by CoolJBad01 on 3/31/25Rating: 5 out of 5

We've seen ZZ 5+ times and she never disappoints. We saw her at Mercury Ballroom in Louisville and it was fantastic. The music was well-balanced and her new songs do great live. Her voice rates at the very top, and her songwriting is a breath of fresh air these days. Keep at it ZZ! More music and more tours!

  • A True Artist!

ZZ Ward is my favorite artist. We've seen her 5+ times and she never disappoints. Her songwriting, composition, and vocals are so on point. Her voice is one of the best in the business! We saw her at Mercury Ballroom in Louisville and she put on a great performance. The audio was well balanced with no issues (a problem in the past) and her new songs are terrific live. The whole band was fantastic. I hope she keeps touring more often. Keep the music coming ZZ!

  • Pure talent!

by Acelowe on 3/26/25Mercury Ballroom - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

I was introduced to the music by ZZ Ward a few years back and since then I have seen her at Bourbon and Beyond in Louisville Kentucky and this weekend at the Mercury Ballroom in Louisville Kentucky and she was absolutely fantastic both times! She just seems so real and down to earth. To describe her in two words I would say..... Pure talent!

She has a great voice and sounds awesome live! Love the harmonica too!

  • Poor sound

by Rich on 11/18/24Knitting Factory - Spokane - SpokaneRating: 3 out of 5

Her opener was really good and sounded great. We wished she (ZZ) had better sound. Her voice didn’t come through clear or loud enough. The guitar and drums over powered her voice, they were way too prominent. Don’t get me wrong the guitar and drums sounded good, but we would have liked to have heard her much more.

  • Blues Treat

by Leets on 11/15/24The ELM - BozemanRating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Ward was a rare treat of authentic blues in a place that doesn't hear it very often. I felt like I was on Beale Street in Memphis! Really enjoyed her show along with Angel White. Come back and see us in Montana!!

  • Had a blast

    by Mindykay77 on 11/16/23Ace of Spades - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

Little surprised when she came on stage showing her adorable pregnant physique, but that didn't stop her from rockin the night away. I was also surprised to learn that this show was her first performance in Cali. Hope she had a great time and comes back cause I would love to rock out with her again. 🥳

  • Wished for a better Venue

by Bash on 11/16/23Knitting Factory - Spokane - SpokaneRating: 5 out of 5

Both ZZ Ward and opener Lanie Gardner were incredible and have amazing voices. The venue however was not great. Others attending kept talking (loudly) and partying during their performances. This would not be tolerated at other venues. The 5-star rating is for the artists. I would give the venue 2-stars.
