ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

  • ZZTop Danville Va concert 9/19/25

by MA on 9/22/25The Pantheon at Caesars Virginia - DanvilleRating: 3 out of 5

Went to Caesars casino in Danville, VA to see ZZ top. Had seen them before about 3 years ago. Band was flat, uninspired, and just going through the motions. Crowd didn't help because they only reacted to their best songs or cheered when Billy or Elwood would makes an interesting sound on their guitar or move in unison. Band only plays harder when they feel energy from the audience. Band played for one hour, stopped and went back stage for less than 5 minutes with a change of outfits, then called it quits after playing 15minutes more. There was NO indication they Band was done. They did not come to the front of the stage and take a bow as many other shows do. They just carried their guitars off stage and the house lights came on. No win situation for the band and audience.

  • A disappointing night

by BPG on 9/22/25The Pantheon at Caesars Virginia - DanvilleRating: 2 out of 5

Having never been to Caesars facility I didn’t know what to expect. I assumed an auditorium experience but was disappointed to find all floor seating. I was seated stage center, beside the sound board. The guitars and drums were really good, vocals good overall but sometimes the sound mixer missed the mark and the vocals were completely washed out by the music. With all that said, I left there disappointed in one thing…. The set was very short. They struggled to play for an hour. I fully expected them to play 90 minutes. For a stand alone show, 60 minutes is a poor value for what the seats cost.

  • Not worth the money

by Allwolfpackfan on 9/22/25The Pantheon at Caesars Virginia - DanvilleRating: 1 out of 5

They only played 75 minutes......... not worth the major $$$ spent for this. Not to mention it was unclear the show was over until the lights came on. They did a horrible job of explaining how long the concert would be..... giving no details when I purchased the tickets. Won't be attending any more shows with vague info.

by Emily on 9/22/25The Pantheon at Caesars Virginia - DanvilleRating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Top never disappoint. These guys have the talent and the experience to play for 90 minutes without any awkward pause. The venue is inside a casino. It's nice and clean and staff are courteous. Will be back soon.

  • Abrupt ending to the show disappointed

by Pete on 9/20/25Rating: 3 out of 5

I’m a big fan of Billy Gibbons and ZZ Top for years, but I don’t know what happened at the end of the show, did they have to stop playing because they were told to do so, I don’t know and the lame crowd didn’t seem to care either, they all couldn’t wait to leave it seems like! I liked the concert, but for the money they could have played 2 or 3 more songs, wish I would’ve gotten the cheaper tickets! It says in the setlist that they played 3 encores, there were no encores, the 3 encores were missing!

  • ZZ Top was Awesome!!

  • Band was great

Seats could have been better . It was tight and chairs weren’t comfortable. Should be theater type seating to see better .

  • Took me back

by Pamby on 9/17/25Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races - Charles TownRating: 4 out of 5

ZZTop’s music was spot on and the casino venue seating was okay. Some rude young female adult would not stay seated; she blocked the view of two rows in C-section. None of the venue staff approached her and told her to dance and gyrate in the aisle, so she wouldn’t block the view of other paying customers. My husband really liked ZZTop!!

  • WV ZZ Top Show

by Harley01rk on 9/17/25Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races - Charles TownRating: 4 out of 5

Overall good show, not the big stage productions of years ago, but still a good small venue show. The show started on time, and they played straight through for about 1 1/2 hours. The only thing keeping me from giving the show a 5 star rating was the end of the show, after the last song, the band just abruptly left the stage, no "thanks for coming, see ya next time, thanks for making us famous, take a bow, etc.", NO encore, even one song, they just ran off the stage and the venues lights came on. I have been to over 100 shows and haven't seen one end like that. Thus, the ending was a bit disappointing, but other than that, it was a good show.

  • Awesome show

I enjoyed it. We danced in the aisles. Glad I finally got to see them. Loved the show.

  • Excellent Show

by Phil on 9/17/25Hollywood Casino at Charles Town Races - Charles TownRating: 5 out of 5

Seating was easy. The show was great. The second time we have seen ZZ Top. The only problem with the Charlestown Casino is the seating does not have very much elevation from Front to Back therefore some people will stand and totally block your view. The balcony has much better elevation but you are farther away.

  • a great night of music

An amazing show. Billy Gibbons can still belt it out after all these years. We had an absolutely great time.
