ZZ Top Concert Schedule

ZZ Top is a legendary American rock band known for their blues-infused rock music, bawdy lyrics and long, red beards. ZZ Top tours include the 2017 Tonnage Tour, 2016 Hell Raisers Tour, and the 2013 La Futura Tour. ZZ Top live shows leave the audience laughing dancing and feeling like they are at a jam session with close friends, instead of a concert headlined by rock and roll legends. Their massive success has allowed all of their albums to reach gold or platinum status. The band's best selling album is 1983's Eliminator, which spawned the hit singles "Legs" and "Sharped Dress Man." The album went on to sell 10 million units, reaching diamond status and the 25 million records they've sold in the U.S. makes them one of the top 100 selling artists in the country. ZZ Top has sold more than 50 million albums worldwide, and they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame in 2004.

ZZ Top Background

ZZ Top formed in 1969 in Houston Texas with guitarist and lead vocalist Billy Gibbon, organist Lanier Greig and drummer Dan Mitchell. The name of the band came from Gibbons combining the names of B.B. King and Z.Z. Hill, when he noticed that many artists used their initials as their band's name. When ZZ King seemed too close to the originals he changed it to ZZ Top. The current lineup of the band consists of bassist and lead vocalist Dusty Hill, Billy Gibbon and drummer Frank Beard. ZZ Top's signature sound can best be described as blues-infused rock with elements of punk rock and new wave added through their use synthesizers. While Eliminator was the band's most successful album with 10 million albums sold, 1985's Afterburner was their highest charting album. All the singles from Afterburner were Top 40 hits and the album itself went on to sell five million copies. Other Top 40 singles include 1975's "Tush," 1977's "I Thank You," and 1981's "Gimme All Your Lovin'"Follow ZZ Top on social media: Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Facebook.

very good show. Did not play long enough. The show seemed to be cut short. I have seen them before and they did not play all the songs they usually do . The y must have had an early gig the next day. (Preakness.) Dissappointing.

What can I say but that they are as fantastic today as they were thirty years ago! I felt like I went back in time and was a teenager again! This makes about the 50th time I have seen them in concert.

I gave these tickets to my husband for his 52 birthday. We have both seen ZZ top at least 20 times between us. He, and his friends even dress like them for Mardi Gras. We throughly enjoyed this concert. It was up front and personal. The sound was great. I don't think there's a bad seat in the house. We had a blast.

by Bodine on 7/12/09IP CASINO RESORT AND SPA - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

I've wanted to see them for many years, they really lived up to my expectations and were worth the wait to see them. I would see them again, if they played in this area again.

  • Awesome show!!

Those guys haven't changed a bit. Same looks....same music....awesome show! Looking forward to seeing them open for Aerosmith!

  • Not bad, but not well organized

by capnmike on 7/12/09nTelos Wireless Pavilion - PortsmouthRating: 3 out of 5

ZZ Top's performance was first-rate...can't say the same for the "fill band"...also WAY too much time was spent dithering around between acts...smacks of poor organization on somebody's part. And the vocal system was muddy as hell...you couldn't make out the lyrics at all. Besides, we paid to see ZZ Top, not some local wannabees. We just got back from seeing Elton John and Billy Joel in Washington. NO COMPARISON!

  • ZZ Top Biloxi IP Casino July 10th

by legend1409 on 7/12/09IP CASINO RESORT AND SPA - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Concert was great and the Studio this was held in was Outstanding. I would definately go back to this casino to any Event as the facility was absolutely excellent. I would not reccommend stayhing at the Hotel as the rooms are much less than desirable.

  • ZZ Top still has what it takes

by bullet on 7/12/09IP CASINO RESORT AND SPA - BiloxiRating: 4 out of 5

although these old rockers are 60+, their 30 year old tunes still come off great. seen there act three time in the '70's and it sure was good to see them again.

  • Dusty Hill went off

Dusty, Billy, and Frank all went hard as hell, especially dusty

  • ZZ Top

by Hondo on 7/12/09nTelos Wireless Pavilion - PortsmouthRating: 3 out of 5

The show was to short, did not play enough of the favorites and did not even play an encore or say Goodnight and thanks to the crowd. I've seen ZZ Top twice previously and the last show was not nearly as good as the first two. Rather a big let down.

  • ZZ at the IP

by Deward on 7/12/09IP CASINO RESORT AND SPA - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

ZZ Top was at the IP Casino Friday July 10 and as usual they put on a stellar performance. I have seen these guys many times throughout the years. The first time was in 1974 which has been 35 years ago! Wow, these dudes simply keep rocking and haven't lost a thing. In fact I think they even age better than fine wine! Billy Gibbons is without a doubt one of the greatest guitar players in the world. While Dusty and Frank bring up the rear one would be hard pressed to find a better act. Regarding the venue, all I can say is that the theater at the Imperial Palace is an excellent place to see a show. There is not a bad seat in the house. There is something special about seeing "rock legends" so up close and personal. I would have to give the concert five stars...!!!

  • ZZ is blues history!

by Cranmer on 7/12/09IP CASINO RESORT AND SPA - BiloxiRating: 5 out of 5

Every show is memorable....because of their commitment to the music genre and their attention to style. The memorable shows when they had the moving sidewalks, the mine cars in concrete and steel and this year, the skulls on the drums and the sidekick smoking. But the show is the history that you can see and hear. Three musicians who maintain their dedication to their fans, their profession and each other. What a lesson we can learn from three very cook dudes. Righteous brethren. We dig ya!
