About

Zac Brown Band in Concert

Zac Brown is the founder, front man, and lead vocalist for the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning, southern rock group Zac Brown Band. In addition to being the founding member of Zac Brown Band and leading it through its overwhelming success, Brown is also credited as an impactful songwriter, producer, record label head, business man, and philanthropist - making him one of the sharpest minds among today's generation of artists focused on shifting the paradigm of the music business.

Brown was born in 1978 in Atlanta, Georgia and grew up in a family of 12 children. Later on, Brown attended the University of West Georgia and in 2002, founded Zac Brown Band. Since then, Brown's passion shifted to music and he went on to start his own label, Southern Ground Artists, in 2003. From there, Brown's first widely distributed studio album with Zac Brown Band, The Foundation, sold more than 5 million copies making the album 5x platinum following its release in 2008. The lead song off The Foundation, "Chicken Fried," the band's first national release, also went 5x platinum with over 5 million sales and over 255 million streams. Brown has released four studio albums, two live albums, a greatest hits album, and an extended play produced by Dave Grohl, all with Zac Brown Band - now completely made up with Brown along with Jimmy De Martini, John Driskell Hopkins, Clay Cook, Chris Fryar, Coy Bowles, Daniel de los Reyes, and Matt Mangano.

Zac Brown Band's success can largely be attributed to Brown's interest in pushing creative boundaries through collaborations with top artists across genres including Avicii, Chris Cornell, Jimmy Buffett, Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, Sara Bareilles, and Jason Mraz to name a few. Most recently, Brown worked with Shawn Mendes on writing his latest single with Zac Brown Band titled "Someone I Used To Know," which debuted on Billboard's Hot Country Song Chart the week of its release in Nov. 2018. The new material comes as the band is preparing to kick off their "Down The Rabbit Hole Live," spring 2019 tour this coming March, following 2018's 31-stop summer tour of the same name.

Most recently, in December of 2018, Brown announced the launch of his new entertainment and lifestyle branded parent company, Zac Brown Collective, formerly known as Southern Ground. The reimagined company expanded its brand portfolio; further rising Brown's artistic and entrepreneurial pursuits to new heights. Zac Brown Collective brings together the best in music, film, food, fashion, custom design, and American-made gear to form a company made up of brands that are fully grounded in the "American experience."

Brown's commitment to giving back has also been at the forefront of his career since day one when he founded Camp Southern Ground. The camp, Brown's biggest passion, is an inclusive camp serving children ages 7-17 with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, dyslexia, social or emotional challenges, and typically developing children. The camp's off-season programming supports post 9/11 veterans in their readjustment to civilian life. Zac Brown Collective allocates funds and resources to the camp - making all of Brown's work beneficial to a cause dear to his heart. In 2017, Brown was honored with the CRS Humanitarian Award, presented annually to musicians who use their careers to serve others in need and contribute to the greater good. The award was presented to Brown for his work supporting our nation's veterans and for his nonprofit passion project Camp Southern Ground.

Zac Brown Band is represented by Creative Artists Agency, SB Projects, communications and branding agency JONESWORKS, & Zac Brown Collective.

    Speakers not working

by Susan on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

We didn’t have any sound for a majority of the show. Speaker went out. Later there was a break we assumed was to sort out the problem. Came back, still no sound. Did come on later. Many people left.

    Speakers blew, no refund

by Sav on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

We were so stoked to see Zac Brown but the speakers blew for the lawn seats on the 2nd song in. You couldn’t hear anything he was saying or singing so we just left after the 5th song. LiveNation has not said anything about a refund or credit or anything and we paid good money to see Zac. We are so disappointed!

    Amphitheater sound big disappointment

by Little D on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

Half of the lawn could not hear ZZB music at all about 30 minutes into the concert due to speakers not working. We left the show and were very disappointed. Live Nation should give a refund for their error and not being able to deliver the show they promised.

    Disappointed

by Traveled from Ohio on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

First the venue was oversold for the lawn. You had to stand at the concessions to watch the show, not Zac’s fault but the venue it self. The speaker blew in his first song. No one in the lawn could hear a thing. The staff was notified and tools us they were aware of the or problem. We waited about 45 minutes and still nothing, so we left. We’re told we would get a refund by contacting Live nation. but no. They did fix the sound approx with 3 sings left in the set. Very unfair to anyone in the lawn seats. I heard I’d you could hear it, that it was an amazing show. really bummed we traveled from Ohio to have such an awful experience.

Band was great but speaker broke.

by Chrispy on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

This was my first ZBB concert and it started off great but after a few songs one of the main speakers busted. So, for about an hour or more the concert was very quiet and very disappointing. They did fix it towards the end but the damage was done.

    Zac Brown (Tampa)

by Gatorgirl19 on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

The venue was still selling tickets even though there was no where to sit in the grass area….hundreds of people just standing by the back fence. Then the sound stopped working in the lawn area right after they played their first song. They took an intermission halfway through but still no music in the lawn area. No one stopped them to say hey…..there’s no sound. Ruined the whole experience.

    No Sound but no refund

by seminoledq on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

We were in the lawn for this show and halfway through the second song the sound went out up in our seats. The sound was out for well over an hour yet neither Live Nation or the venue (Mid-Florida Credit Union Amphitheater) are doing anything to make it right by those of us in the lawn seats. I would have given a one star rating because of this but I didn't want it to reflect that poorly on the Zac Brown Band. This issue had nothing to do with them.

    Band great-venue dissappointing

by Amber on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

The first song into Zac Brown’s set, the speakers blew. We could barely hear the music.

    Great Show!!!

by Matt and Michell Pospisil on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

This was the 5th time we have seen ZBB, and they did not disappoint. We actually feel this was their best yet! They are on point every time with the song choices and the way the jam out is like no other band. They played a country medley of cover songs, and it was awesome. They also threw in some Jimmy Buffet songs and that was a sweet way to celebrate him! Oh, and because this was their last show of the tour, we got to experience all the pranks they pull on one another (with the opening band). So funny!! We love the Zac Brown Band! - Matt and Michell Pospisil

    Disappointed

by Michelle on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

The speakers stopped working I think after the second song. We could barely hear so ended up leaving before it ended. Many left before and with us. Complaints were made and we were treated as brats. So disappointed!

Should have been a great show!

by Mdd on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

The venue is great. The show should have been great, but the speakers went out, and the sound was horrible. Nobody did anything to fix it. A lot of people were upset and wondering why nothing was being done about it.

No sound for 1/2 the concert

by Amanda on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

We were highly disappointed with the concert. We had lawn tickets and for the first half of the concert, there was no sound/speakers to our area. The problem was resolved towards the end but by then what’s the point? I contacted the Amphitheatre via their text feature and was told they were aware of the problem. I emailed live nation and never received a response. Music is THE main part of a concert. I’m highly disappointed with how all involved parties handled the situation.

Venue needs to fix the speaker issues.

by David on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

The speakers in the lawn went out on the very first song. They were never restored so everyone in the lawn left early because you simply couldn’t hear over people’s chatter. The lawn was chanting we can’t hear you. The venue then denied refunds, which is a joke. Mid Florida Amp needs to upgrade their speaker system before another concert, I hear this isn’t the first time it’s happened this season.

Couldn’t hear the show because the sound system failed

by Keith on 11/8/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

King Calaway was great, but after the ZBB’s first song the speakers shut off for the left side of the lawn. We could barely hear the show. It sounded worse than if we were standing in the parking lot. We stayed for another 30 minutes and then gave up and left. It was very disappointing.

Zac and the band rocked it. Last night of their tour did not disappoint. They had the audience singing and dancing! It was electric. Great show!

    A miserable experience...

by LZ on 11/7/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

We selected the lawn area and purchased chairs and preferred parking. This was my first concert at this venue and will be my last unless someone from Live Nation reaches out to make it right. The speakers went out after the first 3 to 4 songs Zac sang. He is an amazing performer but we could not hear him well. We may have been outside in the parking lot listening. We decided to abandon our rental chairs with hopes of hearing on the west side of the lawn. We were excited to hear again and that speaker went out after 2 songs. I got hit in the head by an object walking to get water in rhe upper level and had a big lump and needed ice. Spoke to sheriff officers who offered to call EMS for me. People were smoking all around us, both cigarettes and other while non-smoking signs displayed before and after Zac played. Miserable event. So sad as we booked 4 months in advance with friends for a girl's night. They traveled into town just for this? My sister and brother-in-law attended a year or so ago and sat in the same area and we shocked about what we went through. The only reason I gave it a 2 was because Zac and the warm up band are so talented. Otherwise, I would rate it a .5.

    Could’ve been amazing

by Chris on 11/7/23MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre at the FL State Fairgrounds - Tampa

The speakers broke for the lawn crew after the first song… they did not come back for over half the show!! When we could finally hear a little bit better the show was almost over.. Meanwhile half the lawn left after the fifth song
