I've seen YTG several times before-- they are incredible performers and I would see them any time they are in town. The sound quality (engineering side, most likely) was pretty poor at this venue, and the sound was super muddy. For as expensive as the tickets were, I was pretty disappointed in that.
The Venue Blue Note is very intimate with a great seat anywhere in a beautiful setting. Young The Giant was excellent and gave a fantastic sounding performance. 5 stars all the way!
Fantastic concert in a beautiful venue! Young the Giant is an absolutely incredible band to see live.
YTG puts on the absolute best shows! Their creativity and attention to detail in everything they do is incredible. I’ve seen them 9 times and am blown away every time. So excited for what’s to come. You will not be disappointed!
It was the 4th time seeing Young the Giant .always a great show but had problems with the audio.
Cold War Kids were great. On my bucket list since hearing 'Hang Me Up To Dry' on the PA at 360 Dallas (Dallas Cowboys Stadium). Did not disappoint. Young the Giant as always were phenomenal. It was nice to see the new songs. Some of the non-new tracks were safe though. Didn't really push the envelope like it did at the Republik shows. Sure they were great to hear live again but it would have been nice to hear older cuts like Garands and Guns Out. Or unplayed live tracks like Mirror Master (for once). This will have been my 6th time seeing them in Hawaii since the Home of the Strange Tour. What I didn't like was the assigned seating. They shouldn't have been there. The show was only half sold because of the assigned seating which is the first time Young the Giant haven't sold out a show in Hawaii since I first saw them. General Admission is essential for a rock concert, for a Young the Giant concert. I may follow them around North America next time. I miss being a groupie.
Young the Giant consistently put on such an incredible, passionate performance. Great energy, lovely and thoughtful messages to the world. Even played some unreleased songs! Would definitely see them again!
I've seen young the giant at the Republik twice, once in 2020 and once in 2023 and they were amazing all 3 times. It was great to see them play a larger venue, although I did miss the more intimate venue of a club show. Lots of new music was played and that was very exciting. Definitely excited to see them again if they ever make their way back to Hawaii for a show! And we have our own song now!
Both bands rocked the shell. Front row center aisle seats were perfect!
This is my third YTG show. They bring it every time! Great energy! See them live if you have the chance!
I have to tell you Young the Giant has to be one of my favorite shows. My late wife, the love of my life started to fail July 19th 2023. Hospital Trips ...she so wanted to see them...by August 1st she left. This band literally went from The Walk Home into Superposition. That was the first song Michelle gave to me...I am her Dark Star...You came on a special anniversary. Thank you for July 19th at the Casino. Truly a magical experience
My first time but definitely not my last. His voice is fantastic- great energy
Excellent, excellent, excellent. They played new music and you can really tell they care about their fans. Got to meet Sameer at dinner the night before! Super nice dude.
The Tropicana is a smaller venue, there isn’t a bad seat in the house. I’ve seen Young the Giant many times over the years and they put on a great show. The sound was excellent. All in all, it was a great night.
Awesome show! The sound was perfect and their energy was infectious.
Small venue tour was awesome. Music was as always on point! Seen them about 10 times and never have disappointed me. The VIP acoustic set we have had attended before actually moved to tears with how beautiful the music was!!!!
I love Young The Giant and this is the 4th time I have seen them. This show was way, way too loud. Will not be putting myself through that again. They are way too talented to need this volume level.
Young the Giant was amazing but some people in the crowd were distracting at times. There were some girls who were clearly seat-hopping to get closer to the front. Some people in the seated area were standing but not exactly dancing or anything, so it was strange just having people standing there in my line of vision lol. Still, it was a great show and it was such a treat listening to some of my favorite music live.
Show was awesome. Just sucked that we missed 20 minutes of it. The opener didn’t show so the band went on earlier than scheduled. Next time we won’t miss the opener even if it’s someone we don’t really care for. LoL
