The classic Mel Brooks movie is ALIVE... and it's Broadway's award-winning MONSTER HIT!
You'll have a monstrously good time at this spectacular new production, winner of the 2008 Outer Critics Circle Award and the Broadway.com Audience Award for BEST MUSICAL!
Don't miss the sensational cast delivering all your favorite moments from the classic film, plus brand-new show-stopping numbers for the Broadway stage, including "Transylvania Mania," "He Vas My Boyfriend" and "Puttin' on the Ritz."
This wickedly inspired re-imagining of the Frankenstein legend follows bright young Dr. Frankenstein (that's Fronkensteen) as he attempts to create a monster—but not without scary and hilarious complications. The brains behind the laughter is mad genius and three-time Tony winner Mel Brooks himself—who wrote the music and lyrics and co-wrote the book—along with his record-breaking team from The Producers: five-time Tony-winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman and three-time Tony-winning writer Thomas Meehan.
"THE BROADWAY MUSICAL AT ITS DIZZIEST, GLITZIEST AND FUNNIEST!"

Performance was excellent as were the actors. Set designs were impressive.
It was very well done. Better than I expected. Big fan of the film and the talent was just amazing in this musical version
The show was very close to the movie- the added humor was a big bonus!!! The cast is very talented! I am going to see it again!
One of the best shows we have seen recently...cast was fabulous...a wonderful evening!
LOVED this show! The actors were wonderful! Fantastic singing voices! All of the seats in the theater were great!
Great funny show and they cast was amazing! Great singing!
Being a fan of the original movie I truly loved the show, it made me laugh especially during the putting on the Ritz song. However the one thing I will say about the theater is the seats are horrible, being a 6 foot four person it is such a tight uncomfortable fit. The only one that could sit in those seats comfortably are children they really should renovate it where there’s more room, especially legroom with those seats. Even if there were some emergency for somebody sitting in the middle of a row there’s no way to quickly get them out they are really horrible.
Broadway quality production! We really enjoyed it all.
The musical was great. It was a remarkable adaptation of Mel Brooks Young Frankenstein. The cast were exceptional..Had a awesome time. Thank You
I loved Walnut Street Theaters production of Young Frankenstein. The show was hilarious, sets were amazing, and the characters were great. I was very impressed.
We sat at the back of the middle Orchestra section. The seats were very comfortable as was the leg room. The scenery and stage props were interesting. The singers/players were very good as was the show itself. I think the concession stand on the 1st level could use an additional person during the intermission. Overall, I and my date had a super time.
Attended the show at Walnut Street Theatre on Friday night with my 88 year old dad and my daughter 28 year old daughter......hard to find a show that everyone would love. Since my dad loved the movie Young Frankenstein, we chose this show. My daughter went in not ever seeing the movie (Shocking!!) We were not disappointed, the acting was incredible particularly by the three leading ladies. Singing and dancing were as good as any Broadway show I have seen. My dad is a tough critic but enjoyed every second of the show. Walnut Street Theatre does an amazing job on all of their shows and I love the history of the theatre. If you get a chance - GO!!! It is so funny and extremely well done.
Walnut Street Theater's production of Young Frankenstein was very well done. Funny show. Saw it on Broadway years ago and this was up to par. Excellent cast. Enjoyable show for all ages. Seats in the balcony don't have much leg room and Walnut Theater's mandatory contribution for close seats is annoying.
Walnut Street Theatre is in beautiful shape. The seats were very spacious and comfortable( I am 5’ 10”) and the sound system is extremely clear. The show ‘Young Frankenstein’ was outstanding. Excellent acting, singing and dancing. They stuck very close to the iconic movie which was very much appreciated by the ‘laughing out loud’ audience. Looking forward to seeing another production very soon.
Great show that did a good job of replicating the Mel Brook's classic. Actors were sensational. Only problem with the Walnut Street Theater orchestra section is that you are cramped in your seats unless you're a very thin person.
Venue was very good. Staff friendly and courteous. Place had a neat vibe. Production was first rate. Big fan of Mel Brooks, so had great expectations and was not disappointed.
We thought the show was hilarious. It hasn’t all the main parts from the movie with a twist!
Performance was amazing. Ideal venue. Lovely evening.
We laughed for 2 1/2 hours straight. The show was outstanding and the cast was phenomenal. I was impressed by how talented the cast was and how well they sung. Strong, wide ranging voices. Excellent show.
Young Frankenstein was extremely funny, provocative and excellently planned by the entire cast. It was well worth the price of admission at the Walnut Street Theater, a venue we have never been to before. Don't let this one get away from you, if you love to be entertained by imaginative production, lively music and comedic interpretation you love "Young Frankenstein"
