  • Best 1 1/2 hours I've had in AC for $25

by Blukat on 12/28/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

Take a break from the tables and the slots. This is the best return for your $25. The best odds you get for an awesome time! I was a little skeptical as this is a tribute band, but I was wrong. This group was as on as the "Jersey Boys" are for The Four Seasons. The room was consumed with the energy of "Yesterday". They were not just excellent performers, they were top-notch musicians. They put their heart and soul in to each and every song. A great song list that included many favorites and a few lesser known songs, kept the audience involved and wanting more. Audience participation was encouraged and overall everyone came out of it having a great time. What more can you ask for?

  • Yesterday was a lot of fun

    by B837 on 12/28/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

This band played at the Tropicana in Atlantic City. The location was in a recreation of the Cavern Club in LIverpool. Unfortunately, the tickets and staff told us that the Beatle review was on the third floor - it was on the first floor and twenty of us arrived at the last minute. The group was fine. I have seen other groups that are better, but this one is really fine.

Tropicana's presentation of "BEATLE MUSIC" was well done by the group YESTERDAY. The selection of music was loud and enhanced with audience participation. Seating was on kitchen chairs with a good view by all. I looked at the faces of the audience as the group played and everyone was smiling ! Show lasted about an hour + fifteen. It was worth the $25 bucks.

  • Fun Time

by Anonymous on 12/27/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the show was fun and Yesterday gave a good tribute to the early Beatles. We had a group of 20 year olds to 60 year olds, everyone enjoyed it. we wished they had covered more of the later Beatles, revolution, etc., but for the cost of the tickets it was a good value.

  • A lot of FUN!

by Anonymous on 11/30/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

I took my boyfriend, son, parents, and sis-in-law, and everyone had a great time. High energy, foot-tapping hand-clapping fun. I had a diverse range of age group with me, from 18-78 years old, and we all enjoyed the show. The only thing I would say is that it took us a little while to figure out who was who, it would have been nice if they had introduced themselves in the very beginning. They did at the end however. The sound was great, they band was funny and did a great job of mimicking the Beatles, and there were TV's on either side showing clips of the original Beatles throughout the show, which was a nice addition to the feel of the show. I wasn't sure my son would like it, but he couldn't resist enjoying the show:)

The show was a lot fun. The band did a great job bringing the Beatles back to life. I would recommend this for anyone who has found memories of the 1960's.

  • Absolutely The Best Beatles Show EVER !!

by LizandLarry on 11/25/09Liverpool Club Theater, Tropicana Hotel Casino - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

My husband Larry and I went to The Liverpool Club Theater at the Tropicana Hotel with several friends on November 15th.The Yesterday Beatles Tribute show had been recommended to us a number of times. Larry is a musician and a VERY picky die hard Beatles fan who does not usually like tributes. He went to the show because our friends wanted to go and to make me happy since we were in Atlantic City. THIS SHOW WAS AMAZING!! I LOVED IT But, Larry FELL IN LOVE with Yesterday!! The show is 100% LIVE...no tracks, nothing fake,( Larry's pet peeve). It covers the period in time when the beatles came to the U.S. It's a rock and roll show you will never forget. Yesterday plays original era instruments and sings all the parts in the right keys. They are the real thing! Yesterday are 'the Beatles' LIVE!! We thought the mccartney performer was exceptional, talked and sang just like him and looked like him. The Harrison performer was just excellent. He could really play. Even Ringo could sing. The performers had a great time on stage and joked and laughed with the audience, which had started to dance at their seats about one third of the way into the show. By the end, EVERYONE was dancing. I have never enjoyed any show as much as this one! They are real Las Vegas performers. We all got to meet Yesterday at the end. They spent a lot of time talking with Larry about the music. They are really nice guys. We will ABSOLUTELY SEE THIS SHOW AGAIN!!! DO NOT MISS IT! We Believe in YESTERDAY!

  • Excellent Show!

    by bt3d on 11/24/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Yesterday's Beatles tribute show let us know what it must have been like to see the Beatles live, both on the Ed Sullivan Show and during their famous Shea Stadium concert - and it was brilliant! The Fab Four impersonators came prepared with authentic instruments and costumes - and played just about dead on to the origional songs, including the guitar solos and drum fills. It was pretty amazing to watch them play out these classic songs and sound fantastic doing it. The look of the band members was decent, each one in their own way had a likeness to the origional Beatles member, but also each had a bit of their own charm in there as well. Their mannerisms and little details of their performances also helped transport you back in time to those live Beatles performances. Between songs they would speak a bit about the next song and interact a bit with the audience, which was a lot of fun. We will be bringing our two kids to see the show soon as they are big Beatles fans since the Beatles Rockband has been out! And I won't forget my camera for after the show!

  • yesterday, a date to remember

by RITTERP on 11/22/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

i really love the early BEATLES music the best. it takes me back to a time when i first started listening to music and was lucky to have my parents that allowed me to stay up to watch a band that changed the sound of music forever. having never seen, and knowing that i never will get to see the greatest band of all time this is the closes i will ever get to seeing them. YESTERDAY does allow me to at lease enjoy the sight and sound of the BEATLES even if they are not the real thing.i have recommended seeing this band to other BEATLES fans telling them if you really enjoy a band that captures the start of a new REVOLUTION in music as the early BEATLES have done that YESTERDAY is the band to see.

Very well done and entertaining. Compares favorably with other Beatle tribute bands.

  • Sound Like The Originals

by DelawareBeatlesFan on 11/17/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

These guys can play. I spent almost as much time watching the guitar and bass work as I did the overall performance. The version of the show we attended featured recreations of the 1964 Ed Sullivan Show and 1965 Shea Stadium performances. The YESTERDAY performers captured the Beatles sound and mannerisms. The performers playing the part of George and Ringo were a little old for their roles and it took me a couple of numbers to get get past this prejudice. The only faux pas was the inclusion of Yellow Submarine in the Shea Stadium set.

  • Yesterday, a tribute to the Beatles

    by Mrfixit83 on 11/16/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

This was AWSOME! Well worth the cheap ticket price! These guys were spot on and very authentic. They played thier parts very well and the music was incredible. The guy playing Paul sounded JUST like him. We didn't want it to end, and my 19 year old daughter was even into it!!

  • Smashing, Jolly good time!

by TeddyandChuck on 11/15/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

I went to this show for my 30th birthday with my family and fiance. We were all singing and dancing in our seats. Looking around the room you could tell that everyone was really enjoying themselves along with the band. The band interacted with the crowd very well. They played amazingly.

  • YESTERDAY TRIBUTE TO THE BEATLES

by ESUZANNE on 11/13/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 4 out of 5

Sounded, dressed and acted just like the beatles. They were very personable. Their act was presented very enthusiastically despite a small audience and got the crowd into the fun by encouraging them to sing along and get up and dance., Myself and my 4 lady friends very much enjoyed the show. I like the tv's also playing the original Ed Sullivan and Shea stadium Beatles concerts.

  • Yesterday a Tribute to the Beatles was wonderful.

by phillyjul on 10/26/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

The show was great. I actually learned something from the show. For years I always took it for granted that since Paul and John were the "lead" singers that they were the "lead" guitarists as well. I had no idea that Paul was the bassist. I took it for granted that George was the bassist. I also enjoyed the second half when they did the Shea Stadium songs. Their costumes were dead on. I compared the band with the video of the actual Beatles in concert and everything they wore was dead on from John having his jacket unbuttoned to Paul having his star badge in a different place on the jacket as John. It was great! I sang throughout the whole thing. It was truly relaxing and enjoyable. I know my teenage boys would even enjoy this show.

  • Great time with "The Beatles"

by DeniDen on 10/26/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 5 out of 5

My sisters and I (in our 20's and late teens) are huge Beatles' fans, thanks to our parents and the fact the Beatles are timeless. For our Mom's birthday, we decided to do dinner at the Trop and then see Yesterday. There is general seating for the show, basically, you pick where you want to sit, save for a few "reserved" seats in the front row. The theatre is small, maybe 75 seats or so (if that), so you always feel really close to the performers. While you are waiting for the show to start, there are television screens that show older Ed Sullivan show performances from other groups. Yesterday starts with the band performing some of the hits from the Ed Sullivan Show, there is a small break, and then they come back to perform the songs from Shea Stadium. After the show, you have the opportunity to meet the band out in the lobby. Although they don't entirely look like The Beatles, their costumes, personalities, mannerisms, and TALENT really make you feel like you were there. The guys are great, the songs are fun, and everyone is always singing along (which they encourage!), clapping and stomping their feet. There is alot of banter between songs between the guys themselves and the audience, so it's alot of fun. We had a great time seeing Yesterday and recommend it for anyone who is a Beatles fan. I also recommend that all Beatles fans see the Love Cirque de Soleil show in Las Vegas - it is amazing and not like anything you will ever see.

  • A Tribute to the Beatles at Tropicana

    by 123blacky on 10/25/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 3 out of 5

show was good and very enjoyable of course the Beatles songs are great so it made the show good. guys sang well, played well but they looked like they were bored.

  • Yesterday should stay yesterday

    by Max357 on 10/19/09Tropicana Showroom - Atlantic CityRating: 1 out of 5

It was a very poor tribute to the world's best ever band. They didn't even come close. Especially "Paul". The best voice in the band should be portraid by someone who can sing and not look like Lou Costello.
