Y&T is a MUST see! They bring it every time. Dave's voice is still strong and the band flat out rocks.
I haven’t seen these guys since 1985 and, though Dave M is the only original still alive, he leads a band that hasn’t missed a beat. He can still belt out his tunes and shred his guitar. His band mates are terrific and the show is great.
Y & T are one of the few bands from the 70s/80s that still sounds as good as ever. Dave Meniketti is timeless both on vocals and guitar. The venue has an odd layout but the sound mix was very good and the staff were very friendly. I will definitely go back.
Dave Meniketti is arguably one of the most underrated musicians in Rock. I have been waiting over 37 years to see Y&T live and they did not dissapoint. Dave's vocals were spot on and the sound was impeccable. My only negative comment is that the venue layout was kind of weird. There were stadium seats across the aisles and this should have been a standing room/GA show as point of views were blocked by people and columns.
Y&T has been bringing it since 1974, and they didn't disappoint. Dave Meniketti sounded awesome! His singing and playing hasn't lost a bit over the years. Everyone who loved the 80's rock scene should try to see Y&T. Dave has a great band playing with him and you will be glad you had experience!
great show. Dave still has it. The band sounded great
I first saw Dave with the original lineup 35 years ago. The man is amazing. As always, he puts on an amazing show, and the rest of the band is great.
Long lasting talent. Y&T put on a great show, which is their standard. They performed “Lucy” from 10, which was spot on. Dialogue with the audience was excellent.
The venue was really nice with great acoustics. Y&T rocked the place with so many great songs in their catalog. Only negative was the two drunk guys. My dad almost got into a fight with one and he angered another couple by continuously bumping us. Similar with the other guy. I wish a cap was put on their drinks. Otherwise, killer show.
Y&T has been a band for 46 years. Only one of the original members, Dave Meniketti, is still with us but he is such a phenomenal singer and guitarist that his band mates are always exceptional musicians. I was fortunate enough to spend time with the band in Austin in their sound check experience. I’ve never seen a band do an experience this way and it was worth every penny. One on one time with each band member, photos with the band, autographs, and then listen to the sound check and see them interact with each other and the crew. I saw them at all 3 Texas shows and they rocked the house every time. The energy and pure joy they exude while playing makes every show special. John Nymann, Mike Vanderhule, and Aaron Leigh are sincere, genuine guys who love music. They respect Dave and the legacy of the band, whom they pay tribute to, during every show. If you have a chance to see them play, go. Buy their albums, they are all great. Don’t miss out on this group!
Good concert, awesome band, good venue. Saw three bands here. Good each time. Security was thorough but didnt delay entry too long.
Love the venue almost as much as Y&T. Great experience all around. I come up from San Antonio to Austin every year (4 years now) for this show, and I’ll be back next year!!!
Awesome show last night . Y&T was on fire . I absolutely love the venue at the Uptown theater in Napa. Great sound and lights . Awesome stage . One of my favorite venues. Cheers
Best concert I’ve been to in a long time. Y&T lit up the room with their energy and charisma. They still have it, voice, guitar playing and stage presence. I enjoyed this concert immensely. The crowd responded in appreciation and participated right along with the band!
Great venue, and another kick ass show form Y&T. I first saw this band when I was 14 and I have been a fan ever since. Dave is a phenomenal guitarist and singer and still killing it 45 years later. will see them whenever they come around, if you have never seen them get a ticket and go. You won’t be disappointed.
Soundstage is also a cool place to see a band. Great stage and lighting.
The 1980s Heavy Metal band Y&T is still rocking hard after all these years. The singer Dave Meniketti is also the lead guitarist and he is great at both. The other guitarist is really good too along with the drummer and the bass player. We saw them at a small dinner theatre where we had seats in the very front. It was very up close and personal. I was so close I could have played his guitar for him but I let him play instead. They played most of the their best songs. They played for over two hours. The band was tight and every song sounded great. I would rather see a band like this in a small venue than see someone else in a large arena. I could see every note they played. During a couple of the best songs he played the solos right in my face, only inches away. They put on a great show. They had great energy and had the place rocking.
Great concert as usual. Only thing I didn't care for was the seats. They (T.V) could have had a lot more people attend if the chairs were removed. (Not many people were sitting). Especially down the center. Other than that everything was awesome. This is my 3rd time seeing Y&T THIS year. Dave & the guys are amazing to watch.
The band itself was awesome. Dave Meniketti and the band gave a great performance and you could tell they we're having a blast doing it and the crowd responded the same way. The only negative was the sound mix. We sat 4th row left side of the stage and had to move to the rear of the hall because the sound was so distorted. Will definitely see the band again just in a different venue.
Good show, great crowd! Small, intimate venue. Highly recommend it!
