This was our second time and the show was fantastic . The meet and greet was so nice the members remembered my husband and I which made the night very special. Each member was so professional. I would tell everyone go see the SHOW!

Amazing show. These guys are somewhere between Manheim Steamroller and Trans Siberian Orchestra. A very talented group musicians and vocalists.

  • Utter Disappointment

    by Testarosa77 on 11/24/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 1 out of 5

My wife and i have seen TSO. for the past few years so this season we thought we'd try something new (mistake #1) This show was promoted as Wizards of Winter featuring original members of TSO. Well there were 2 guys in the show who "toured briefly" with TSO but no original members. I checked the TSO biography - The band was formed in 1996, neither of these guys joined up until 1999, therefore NOT ORIGINAL MEMBERS. Secondly, we went expecting a TSO production. What we got was a sub par light show and a TERRIBLE sound system. The music was unbearably loud and the vocals almost non existant. The TSO songs sounded nothing at all like what they should have and their originals with the exception of one song were equally as bad. Not at all what we had expected. Bottom line is these guys have no business associating themselves with TSO - a complete let down!!!

  • not so great

by outthewindow on 11/23/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 1 out of 5

honestly, we were disappointed. tried to wait for an intermission so we could leave. we finally snuck out between songs. it just wasn't our cup of tea or what we were expecting. should have read the discription more carefully.

  • WOW!

Brilliant musicians and singers whose artistry is worthy of a ticket purchase when they come to your city.

  • Not what I was expecting

by Caident on 11/22/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

This is a very talented group of musicians. Unfortunately, I was not prepared for a primarily heavy metal theme. (I was thinking more Mannheim Steamroller). If you are expecting more traditional Christmas music you will be disappointed.

  • Talented Artists, Disappointing Show

by FLTicketholder on 11/22/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

Each one of the singers and musicians were very talented. Unfortunately the show seemed very much cobbled together around a Winter Christmas theme that ended up coming across very convoluted. It seemed more like a rock concert than anything else. Despite all of that, the most unfortunate part of the show has to do with the lighting. High above the stage was a row of white spot lights. Each time the intensity of the music grew, which was often, the lights would come on, point at the audience and start twisting around. It made the performance unbearable to watch. In fact the lights were so bright we questioned whether if was doing damage to our eyes. Even with our eyes closed in an attempt to not be assaulted, the intensity was felt through our eyelids. We questioned why a performer would want to prevent the audience from being able to watch what they were doing. Finally we got up and left.

  • Embarrassing garage act

by CidVicious on 11/22/15Parker Playhouse - Ft LauderdaleRating: 1 out of 5

The 1st song was great. Everything after that was not only unworthy of the venue, but embarrassingly bad. Shame on the Parker Playhose for hosting this garage act. I'm so pissed.

The sound was not balanced - the guitars and keyboards drowned out the flute and the violin to any extent and could not be enjoyed. Sorry - but we left at the intermission

  • The Wizards of Winter - Excellent Show!

    by Jan36 on 1/7/15Turning Stone Casino - VernonRating: 5 out of 5

I have seen the Wizards of Winter several times now. My husband and I saw them at the State in Maine and drove over 4hours to the Turning Stone in Vernon NY to see them again this year. What a great show. It was different from their Theater show. At the casino we sat at a booth with table service. The show was shorter and I asked the waitress why and she said all acts at the casino are to be no more than 90minutes long . I will have to remember that. Non the less, less story and songs, less frills, lights and snow but it was still a fantastic show!!! Don't miss them if they come to your area!!

  • This is not TSO

by parecer on 12/27/14Turning Stone Resort & Casino Showroom - VeronaRating: 3 out of 5

Let's be clear: this is not Trans-Siberian Orchestra. They reproduce some of the music of TSO and have had some of the members of TSO tour with them now and then, but they aren't TSO. The musicians are good but the smaller venues don't allow for the pyrotechnics and visual effects that TSO produces in their shows. The music is the core but the flash adds some flavor, I think. The lead guitarist, Fred Gorhau, was having some sort of electrical issue that caused feedback and dropouts on occasion. (I realize that may have been the venue's issue.) But he also went on way too many guitar solos that I thought took away from the songs that were being played. Guy LeMonnier has great vocals. You can tell he's polished. Guitarist T.W.Durfy has awesome hair! Overall, it was good but not great. The price was reasonable and the seats were good in the booth we had.

Wizards of Winter was an amazing show. The music and singing were unforgettable! If you get the chance, it is well worth the price of admission.

  • Wizards of Winter was a nice show

by Bowling84 on 12/23/14Turning Stone Resort & Casino Showroom - VeronaRating: 3 out of 5

I really like this type of holiday music during the Christmas season and was excited to see the show. The music selection early in the show was a little slow but picked up with more popular selections in the second half of the performance. I was disappointed with some intermittent crackling sounds from the speaker and the light show was average (Wizards of Winter needs a laser light show!!!). Not quite TSO or Twelve-Twenty Four, but is was a fun evening for the price.

  • Wizards of winter was terrific

  • Not a Hoiday Show

by Teatime2 on 12/23/14Turning Stone Resort & Casino Showroom - VeronaRating: 2 out of 5

They sang a couple of Christmas songs but nothing recognizable or fun like you'd expect. We were highly disappointed with Wizards of Winter. It seemed more of an entourage of '80s big hair out of work musicians who have no idea how to put a show together and just threw a bunch of music out there. The "train conductor" guy who came out periodically was so out of place. He has a great voice but still couldn't make us believe this show was about a magical train ride, more like a trainwreck. Then to awaken the audience who seemed half asleep the band threw a dozen beach balls out into the audience. At our table alone two drinks were spilled by an unexpected beach ball hitting the table. Who thought this was a good idea? Don't waste your money or time on Wizards of Winter. We left early. The screeching guitars and singing of mostly their original unrecognizable songs became over bearing.
