Great band and event. I went in not knowing much save for an acquaintance with one of the band’s guitarists. Best way to describe WoW is Styx meets Ritchie Blackmore. Will make them an annual seeing. Also plan on going to this venue again.
We knew this show was going to be amazing, but it even exceeded our expectations! My 20 year old daughter who was hesitant about going, still keeps talking about how amazing it was!! We will definitely go again next year. Hopefully it will be the same members
The music, the lights, the whole experience was fantastic!! Really enjoyed our first Wizards of Winter concert. Loved the story line and the amazing music!!
Great time , great sounds , great staff (doc) from security kudos for extra excellent service
Awesome show at the Bergen PAC by the Wizards of Winter! These talented veteran musicians who have played with Deep Purple, Rainbow, Blue Oyster Cult, Ted Nugent and Billy Joel put on one heck of a melodic show. Talented singers who play flutes and violins added the this rock n' roll/heavy metal Christmas experience! These guys played for 2 and half hours with a awesome narrator that has also performed with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra! Recommend this show to anyone looking to see a mesmerizing show this time of year! Merry Christmas to all!!!
The venue is great, easy entry with protocols in place, the band was good but sound system was off at times
I'd like to start with what I liked about the Wizards of Winter: Loads of Talent, Lots of Instrumentals, Beautiful Voices with Lots of Range, and a Fantastic Narrator. It was obvious everyone loved to play, sing and preform. However, for me the show fell short and appeared to be a cheap production. The background graphics could have added so much to the music and story, but appeared to be no more than Clip Art. The music was weighted toward a lot of instrumental guitar solos. They were so prevalent that they seemed to be repetitive. The vocals played a minor role in the entire program. It was like no one was willing to either write something new or pay the royalties to preform it.
We saw it last year but had to leave early for another commitment. So glad we went again and saw the entire show. It is a great show with some of the most amazing voices. Would recommend to anyone. There were people of all ages there. It put me in the Christmas spirit.
What a great performance!! We were not sure what to expect and WOW lived up to its name. Every bit as enjoyable as TSO (maybe more). Highly recommend attending this when it’s in your town!! 5 stars is not enough
Went to see them on recommendations on Facebook about being a good show. I give them credit, they did a good job, but not what I thought it would be. I really didn't know what to expect, but after seeing Trans Siberian Orchestra for twenty years, this was a let down.
Awesome show!We saw the wizards of winter on Friday night and I cannot say enough good things about it! Superb group of musicians!!! We really enjoyed it! I would definitely pay to see them again.
Wish vocals were heard better and drums not so overpowering Very talented performers
Great place to see a concert, or a play. nicely renovated. Filmore 13 across the street offers good selection of brews, and very good food menu. Concert with the Wizards was exceptional, very engaging with the crowd. Stage was a bit small for there ensemble but they pulled it off with ease. Very good music, and amazing vocals.
Great intimate venue for the show, good ticket prices. The band came out into the bar after the show to meet with fans and sign autographs... no extra charge. Band sounded great. Sound could have been adjusted a bit, sometimes hard to hear the singers over the drum and guitars. It was like taking a step back in time where the performers are friendly and meet with the audience after and the small venue allows for no bad seats. So much nicer than the large venue where you pay $80 to sit in the nose bleed seats. Highly recommend for any future events, hope to be back soon.
Was expecting much more... honesty all, non-recognizable music sounded exactly the same. The sound guy should be fired! We couldn’t understand one word of lyric sung by anyone with a guitar back up. These aging guitarists should practice some humility... or (again) someone should teach the guy manning the soundboard how to balance vocals & instruments! Not happy with this $120 eardrum-piercing show (and we LOVE rock n roll)!
Great show, great artists with a world of talent combining visual, narrative and original music to create a very enjoyable show for everyone. Classical combined with rock with holiday theme. The artists bring their talents together from various bands and orchestras brilliantly. Finding that the show donates the proceeds to Wounded Warriors and local food banks is a very positive and caring jesture from the artists who really donate their time and talent to the show and give it's spirit true meaning through action. Being able to also meet he artists after the show is a welcome rarity today. Very nice, caring and friendly people. We will gladly come back to future Wizards of Winter shows.
Heard about them from Facebook days before and my girlfriend sent me the link the same day! She bought the tickets as a Christmas gift! We went to the show and totally enjoyed it! Highly recommend to see them! Can’t wait till next year to see them again!
Fun evening. Amazing voices and soaring sounds. This band plays with all their heart and it shows. Go see them!
I love the 80’s. I love screaming guitar and big hair. But this was cheap and cheesy. The sound quality was terrible and it just looked like a bunch of 80’s throw backs trying to compete for the lead roll. I bought the cheapest tickets they had and was I’m still mad I wasted money. We left after the 4th song, so did quite a few other people.
