About

Willie Nelson is one of the most successful country music singer-songwriters in history, releasing 68 studio albums and 10 live albums. He wrote his first song at the age of seven and joined his first band at ten, playing concerts as a lead singer and guitar player while still in high school. He spent the ‘50s and ‘60s writing songs for established acts such as Ray Price and Patsy Cline, as well as releasing a string of albums on Liberty and RCA beginning with his debut …And Then I Wrote in 1962. In 1973, he signed to Atlantic Records and put out Shotgun Willie, which veered into outlaw country, a stark contrast from the mainstream Nashville sound and clean-cut country artists of the era. 1975’s Red Headed Stranger and 1978’s Stardust followed on Columbia Records, both garnering commercial and critical success. The ‘80s saw the release of No. 1 albums Honeysuckle Rose, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Always on My Mind, and The Promiseland, as well as Nelson joining Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson in the country supergroup The Highwaymen, touring and releasing three studio albums between 1985 and 1995. Nelson continues to release a new album almost every year and delight ticket buyers in live shows to this day.

  • Outlaw festival was great in Camden

by Melisa on 7/7/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - CamdenRating: 5 out of 5

Couldn't get better with a concert on 4th of July right next to Philadelphia. Celese & Marin Morris were fantastic with a great energy. Robert Plant still sounds great. Bob Dylan played a lot of blues which was cool. Willie played all great songs and gave a great show. Food was a little to expensive, it would be good for all day festivals to bring in your own food in a side area, paying for our 3 teens for two meals was crazy.

  • Great but wish there were more time

Willie Nelson is of course phenomenal. However, as the years go by, he relies on his son and others to carry the show.

  • Outstanding!!! Thrilling!! Mesmerizing!!

by Joni on 7/7/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - CamdenRating: 5 out of 5

Besides the intense heat of the sun, we had one of the best days ever! Mavis Staples immediately danced and sang her way into our hearts. My sister and I had a really good giggle at Bob Dylan’s expense. (the only complaints, the cameraman that was supposed to be controlling the camera feed for the large overhead screens for the audience completely ditched his job and left the camera on automatic leaving poor Bob in a blurry distant screen and the venue needs more healthy food selection ) The highlight for us came with the meticulous musicianship of Alison Krauss, Robert Plant and their band! The entire crowd was completely mesmerized. I’m sure it was some of the best music I’ve ever seen played live. * I go to a lot of shows. Treat of a lifetime to hear Robert Plant sing with a strong voice some of Jimmy page’s older songs!! Pure musical BLISS! When Willie came on it was more of a poignant emotional experience, watching he and his son gaze into each others eyes as they sang duets and took turns soloing. Thankfully the weather was perfect once the sun went down. The only other thing I would’ve wished for was fireworks by the river. We could see some in the distance but it would’ve been a little more fun to have them closer. All of the staff was polite and working hard considering the challenge of the heat of the day. Crowd was well behaved and having fun I didn’t see anyone get sick or fight. And the ride on the ferry home was comfortable and right on time. GRATEFUL and oh SO happy we went.

  • Couldn’t wait for one of the sets to end

by Sher on 7/7/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - CamdenRating: 4 out of 5

Couldn’t make out Bob Dylan behind a piano , couldn’t make out many of his lyrics . Was excited to see him for the first time and couldn’t even see him on the screens they provide. Bummed. Robert Plant and Allison we’re the memorable set of the evening . Loved everyone else . Willies set was same as last year . Left 15 minutes early which I never do . Just couldn’t take 15 minutes more of the heat . So you could say it was not a parking lot jam worthy set.

  • Excellent show

by Hannah on 7/7/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - CamdenRating: 5 out of 5

Willie Nelson was sick and canceled a few shows before this. You could tell he was still battling whatever ailed him but he's a true professional and he played very well! I hope he feels better soon Bob Dylan apparently is notorious for being bad in concert and.... I have to agree. He doesn't play his hits, and the songs he does play are boring. I had hoped he would play "Blowin in the wind"but all I heard was a bunch of songs that sounded all the same. You couldn't tell what the words were because they were so quiet and slow. Maren Morris was the bomb diggity and I will definitely be looking for her concerts in the future. I'm not a concert person but we always wanted to see Willie. I was very excited for Bob Dylan and meh about Maren. Turns out, I had those backwards! Robert Plant and Erin Krauss were energetic and their songs were good. We had fun being in their audience but I wouldn't book a concert with them as the main headliner because it's not my kind of music. I'm more of a country fan.

  • Excellent Day of Music

by Magic Rat 14 on 7/7/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - CamdenRating: 5 out of 5

An amazing lineup with fantastic performances. It was great to see Willie (and I wish him a speedy recovery) and his amazing guitar work. Bob Dylan sounded great. My only complaint of the day was his song selection. Robert Plant & Allison Krauss were a real highlight. Top notch band, sounded great and really unique arrangements. Maren Morris was an absolute treat & you could see how thrilled she was to be there. Mavis Staples is an ageless wonder and I am sorry I didn't get there in time to see Celisse.

  • It was awesome to see Willie!

  • 4th of July Picnic was amazing

by KMS on 7/7/24Freedom Mortgage Pavilion - CamdenRating: 5 out of 5

It was an amazing night full of fabulous music by legends and “newbies” alike. With names like Dylan, Willie Nelson, Allison Krauss and Robert Plant, and Mavis Staples you just cannot go wrong. Then add in the energy of Maren Morris and Celisse it even better. A great time was had by all!

  • Xfinity center Mansfield ma

by Jp on 7/2/24Rating: 1 out of 5

Everything about this experience started terrible and ended terrible, traffic was like an LA nightmare. audio was static and awful. BTW don't bring cash because it's only debit And to sum it all up the only person we paid the $200 bucks to see didn't even show up. And then they couldn't even make up for it bye atleast putting the Nelson family on sooner... nope they put them on dead last and they lined up all the meh artists before them. Needless to say real bummer we danced to Willie at our wedding and my wife really wanted to see him. But now she says she is not even sure if it's worth buying tickets again. Just for him to maybe show up. Shame we still love you Willie you're just getting older and would have really liked to have seen you for the first time sir!!!

On my bucket list, I want to smoke at a Willy Nelson concert. My mom was a huge fan before she passed and willy is all I heard growing up. Being diagnosed with cancer, I just want to see him play. And he's not even coming to Texas 😭😭

  • Great Show / Terrific Venue

by Angie on 5/31/24Ozarks Amphitheater - CamdentonRating: 5 out of 5

We love the venue, although it wasn't clear to my daughter and I where to go to pick up Will Call tickets. Fortunately, after waiting in the wrong line for about 30 minutes, an employee was nice enough to personally escort us to the place where we needed to be and even asked if it would be okay if we skipped the line (not because we asked - he was just being nice). Well, we didn't get to skip the line, but it wasn't long before we had our tickets and were inside the venue. The show was great. Willie and Friends put on such an outstanding show that it's hard to believe he's 91 years old. He still sounds wonderful. The opening band The Mavericks were very entertaining as well. We loved the accordian player! I have nothing bad to say about the entire experience other than maybe better signage directing people to the Will Call gate.

  • One of the best !!

by WWH on 5/30/24Ozarks Amphitheater - CamdentonRating: 5 out of 5

This wasn’t my first time. Willie seemed to be doing better than a year or so ago when he was having some health issues. Once again I was amazed by his performance. Truly one of a kind. Had a great time with great people and a great venue.

  • A Great Concert

by Mari on 5/30/24Ozarks Amphitheater - CamdentonRating: 5 out of 5

I was amazed to hear how great Willie sounded! He’s still got that wonderful voice even at the age of 91! The guitar playing was great too. I’m just sooo happy I got to see & hear him again.

  • Willie for President

by Willie and Me on 5/30/24Ozarks Amphitheater - CamdentonRating: 5 out of 5

When a 91 year old entertainer can walk across a stage unattended, you know you are in for a great show!! Willie played for an hour, non-stop. Sang old hits, added current nuance to old lyrics and played on. Watching this man enjoy his music as much as his fans is quite the experience.

  • Great time

by PJ on 5/30/24Ozarks Amphitheater - CamdentonRating: 4 out of 5

Willie Nelson was great even at 91. Wished we would of seen him 20 years ago. The venue was great and the weather was awesome. I will go back to the Ozark Amphitheater for future concerts.

  • Classic

by The venue was real nice on 5/30/24Ozarks Amphitheater - CamdentonRating: 3 out of 5

I should have went to see him last year. I was delighted to see him but seems the last year has really slowed him down. Which at 91 he was still doing good but I heard last years concert was better..

  • Great show. At 91 willie still has it.

by Onesportylady on 5/29/24Ozarks Amphitheater - CamdentonRating: 5 out of 5

Willie doesn’t have the stamina he use to. I’ve attended show for almost 50 years. I love and admire how he still performs at 91. Still plays his beloved guitar Trigger.
