About

Willie Nelson is one of the most successful country music singer-songwriters in history, releasing 68 studio albums and 10 live albums. He wrote his first song at the age of seven and joined his first band at ten, playing concerts as a lead singer and guitar player while still in high school. He spent the ‘50s and ‘60s writing songs for established acts such as Ray Price and Patsy Cline, as well as releasing a string of albums on Liberty and RCA beginning with his debut …And Then I Wrote in 1962. In 1973, he signed to Atlantic Records and put out Shotgun Willie, which veered into outlaw country, a stark contrast from the mainstream Nashville sound and clean-cut country artists of the era. 1975’s Red Headed Stranger and 1978’s Stardust followed on Columbia Records, both garnering commercial and critical success. The ‘80s saw the release of No. 1 albums Honeysuckle Rose, Somewhere Over The Rainbow, Always on My Mind, and The Promiseland, as well as Nelson joining Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, and Kris Kristofferson in the country supergroup The Highwaymen, touring and releasing three studio albums between 1985 and 1995. Nelson continues to release a new album almost every year and delight ticket buyers in live shows to this day.

I’m so glad to have seen Willie for my first time. What a great show from the opening act to the finish. At 93 years of age, he has an adoring and huge group of followers. It was fantastic!

If you are expecting the Willie Nelson of long ago you won't be impressed. That being said If you want proof that you can entertain at any age you will have a great time.

  • Willie Nelson

by Buzzy on 4/16/25Atrium Health Amphitheater - MaconRating: 3 out of 5

I know he’s 92 years old, but I thought the concert would last longer than an hour maybe an hour and 10 minutes, I thought Micah would pick up a lot of of the slack. I would not spend $92 to pay for this again if I had to.

  • An event but not concerts

by Laney on 4/16/25Atrium Health Amphitheater - MaconRating: 3 out of 5

Was good to see Wille Nelson but he looked really tired. His section was only 45 minutes. Did little singing but was trying. Still glad to have seen him.

  • Slow entrance only two lines at a time.

by ShonC on 4/16/25Atrium Health Amphitheater - MaconRating: 4 out of 5

Great concert. It took an hour and a half standing in line to get in. Seems like a shortage of metal detectors and personnel to check people in to the venue.

  • Willie was amazing!

by TnB on 4/16/25Atrium Health Amphitheater - MaconRating: 5 out of 5

Willie was great that voice and the way he can make the guitar come to life we are so lucky we got to see country music's last original. Just made me think of collaborations with Merle Johnny Kristopherson Waylon and so many more. He has done so many wonderful things while staying grounded and being a free spirit at the same time there will never be any like him again.

  • Such an icon

This one of the best concerts I’ve ever been to! I got to hear the oldest touring musician on earth sing his greatest hits!

  • Great Time

by Kty on 4/16/25Atrium Health Amphitheater - MaconRating: 5 out of 5

Great, clean venue. So glad to have the screens up! It would be great if the bright lights on the led signs above the vendors were not so bright throughout the whole concert or if it was just logos and not bright colors all the way down once the bands are playing. It was very distracting. And bring back the street corn. Marketing tip- it would be fun to play music for bands that are upcoming in the same Genre and advertise the dates, etc on the large signs before the show.

  • Surprised, what a treat

by Colorado Greg on 4/14/25Brandon Amphitheater - BrandonRating: 5 out of 5

We were told before arriving at this concert that will only comes out at the very end of these concerts and plays a couple of songs, far from what we experienced; Willie walked out onto the stage unassisted, carrying his guitar, sat down, played his entire set list. Yes, he’s old, but it’s Willie and this concert was bad ass.

  • Amazing show!

  • Dream come true

by Cynthia on 4/13/25Brandon Amphitheater - BrandonRating: 5 out of 5

Have been waiting to see Willie since he 1st started singing at the Grand Ole Opry many, many years ago. Dream come true! I finally got to see him perform live. Too bad I couldn't get tickets closer to the stage. I had the best time singing all his songs along with everyone there. Best night of my life. And I have been around 14 years less than Willie. If, I had the opportunity, I would come see him again. Only wish, I could have met him.

  • Willie Nelson

by Steve on 2/26/25The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St AugustineRating: 5 out of 5

The Willie Nelson show at the St. Augustine Amphitheater was outstanding! Willie and the band were awesome! One of the best concerts we have ever been to besides seeing him in Branson, MO in 1992. At 92 year old Willie Nelson is still a great musician!

  • Great venue and Willie was wonderful

  • Willie Nelson at the Amphitheater

by nik on 2/25/25The St. Augustine Amphitheatre - St AugustineRating: 5 out of 5

The Amphitheater is such an easy place to spend time. It's quaint and doesn't feel congested. The staff was super friendly all the way around. The parking and shuttle service is an added feature of going to the Amphitheater. Randall that opened for Willie was fantastic. And of course, Willie sounded great, as always.
