Excellent performance by awesome talent. One of the BEST musicals I ever had the pleasure to see

  • pretty good, but overpriced

by Druidic on 11/2/24Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

Dis not seem like a national cast, but still personnel were pretty good and did not detract from the experience. Wildly overpriced, though.

My wife and I were able to have a rare "downtown date"and had a wonderful time. The singing was out of this world and the acting was noteworthy as well. I recommend this show to everyone!

  • Great Show with Terrible Ushers

by TC on 10/31/24Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

Show was great. The ushers were awful. Needed help with seating since it was our first time at the Walnut Street Theater. We were redirected three times and actually taken to the wrong seats by an usher. The seat owners were screaming at us to get out of their seats! Tried two more times to find seats with two more ushers totally useless. We were considering becoming subscribers but definitely won’t now.

  • WOW!!

by NeinaR on 10/29/24Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

Jersey Boys was much more than I expected! Just fantastic!! So glad I chose this show to treat my daughter for her birthday. I grew up with Frankie Valli music and this was spot on to his voice. Just amazing!!

  • Outstanding Jersey Boys

by Michelle C on 10/28/24Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

If Jersey Boys is in your town and Will Stephan Connell is Frankie Valli (with an I, not a Y), get your tickets now. I’ve seen the show four or five times and by far he’s the best. AND, Chris Stevens does a knockout job as Nick Massi.

  • 4th time seeing Jersey Boys

by tj on 10/19/24Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaRating: 4 out of 5

I love this play and have seen it four time. It was very good but I did not think the guy who played Frankie Vali, although very good, BUT did not sound like Frankie Vali at all.

  • Great Show!

by The Philly Critic on 10/19/24Walnut Street Theatre - PhiladelphiaRating: 5 out of 5

We went to see Jersey Boys at the Walnut after seeing the original cast show on Broadway in 2005 and, in my opinion, this show rivaled the original show both in the quality of the vocals and the stage presentation. We were expecting to see some local actors/singers with decent credentials taking a stab at re-playing this show which ran for many years on Broadway. Instead, we were treated to an amazing and original presentation which stood well on its own and leaving us wishing that the show could go on for at least one more Act! The role of Frankie Valli was so well-played with his magnificent falsetto that you thought at times that you were hearing the actual Frankie Valli performing on the stage. Equally impressive were the players playing Nick and Tommy and each generated amazing energy, drawing the audience into their characters and injecting some tragic realism into the show which was handled with class and sensitivity. Finally, the role of Bob Gaudio was played so convincingly and earnestly that you got the sense of Gaudio's enormous talent and all he did to make the Four Seasons a truly iconic singing group whose success spanned almost forty-years! A remarkable show and one not to be missed!
